R33 Indicators Blinking Crazy
inthisglass replied to SKYTYM's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
If you havent changed anything then its going to be a blown globe. i know it started with mine because i put smaller indicators into my front bar as i hated the big ugly orange ones. i dont mind them flashing fast but does anyone know if its illegal? -
dude just get a drill and a hack saw? then file it smooth. the place where its meant to go is already indented so its easy to cut a round hole. i did it in like half an hour if that.

ok everyone the cruise is on if you didnt already know. meet point: citywest carpark 25th of january (friday night before Aussie day) meet 9pm depart 9:30 maps will be given out on the night (come see the guy standing next to the dark r33 with spiky black hair) bring cb radios if you have them just so you dont end up lost etc.. all naturally aspirated imports are welcome so bring your friends down. please note: the usual rules apply, noo hooning when at meet points and keep things safe. we want an enjoyable night so we can meet a few fellow minded people and not attract the attention of authorities. look forward to seeing you all.

if you havent already get an aftermarket steering wheel. i was very surprised at the amount of room i gained buy taking off the airbag one.. and if your steering column is pushed all the way up you must have some seriously long legs to be able to bang it when your driving..
-
getting mags in 4 stud wont be a problem but dished rims is another story.. personally if i were you, i'd be getting the suspension done so it sits nice and low then look at some stereo bits. you will gain a lot more from the suspension than the rims. just my opinion..
-
i heard that if you get the metal intake pipe and dont have the box thing that you actually loose power/responsiveness? something about the box holding air? if not then im definitely getting a metal intake pipe. still waiting on mine but they do have to travel a lot further... hopefully soon! oh and can you buy the exhaust studs at a nissan dealer? or do you have to order them? just incase mine snap..
-
yeh we picked city west as it is central and everybody knows where it is. i personally live 35 minutes south of perth so im sure as hell not driving to hillaries for a meet point. another cruise can have that meet point by all means but we'll just keep it at city west for this one. come on people, pm away with maps form old cruises etc. oh and just a thought.. if any of you have a cb radio would be good for communication. I have one and will be bringing it so yeh remember them.
-
yeh just take the intake pip off and undo the black cover with an allen key simple. wont ever get it out without taking the pipe of etc
-
nah man, the louder the better means that your tough you see. oh and make sure the muffler is mounted really low and has a big tip on it (at least 6 inches)
-
You dont, you use a drill. pretty sure most hardware stores will have them, make sure you know what size you need though.
-
woah, never see them that stock! they are different rims to the normal n/a r33 stock wheels? look like they are from a silvia? i want to see some pictures of ryans car now that its painted (read in the spotted thread)
-
still waiting hopefully next couple of days! i need them heatwrapped and fitted before the 25th of this month see how we go.
-
so basically spend your money on some good splits and save yourself the modification hassle. its a GTR you want it to look nice.
-
ok im gonna say any import n/a is welcome i like all imports so feel free to join i just dont fancy a heap of commodores etc anyway feel free to pm with map ideas, im thinking a run through the tunnel as i love the sound of exhausts in that thing im not a fan of hills at night, did it once on a cruise and was way to many near misses happening for my liking. so we could loop through perth then freo or something. then maybe a bit of a coast run? im really dont mind, whatever gets the most votes is what we will do (aslong as we go through the tunnel hehe)
-
door speakers are round 6.5 inch holes a 6x9 wont fit comfortably unless you cut the door or just mount the speakers so they stick out. speakers are cheap, if you have a 32gtr why not just spend $200 for some good speakers that fit nicely.
-
"drift of the mark" lol possibly look at your technique how hard are you hitting the break? do you heal toe or use both your feet? what kind of road are you trying it on? what tyres do you have? try dropping the clutch at different rpms then again your clutch could be slipping or something might be loose on your drivetrain? could be a number of things.. what car do you have btw?
-
ok so 25th it is night cruise 9pm meet 9.30 depart. city west is always good so done. now all we need is a map. double demerits ends today so thats not a problem but we wont be breaking the law so shouldn't worry. I'm all for other n/as to come, post on ns.com to get some silvias and i guess hondas are ok but im a fan of nissans lol so perhaps keep the other cars to one breed. eg:n/a -skylines -silvias -300zx if anyone has anything to add.. otherwise ill make another thread stating the details and then we can focus on the map.

Can You Get Clear Indicators R33 Gtst
inthisglass replied to daryl the pony's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
if your talking about the lights in the front bar, both the fog lights and indicators are the same size. just buy some second hand fog lights and swap the plastic covers.. if the globes inside are clear you may need to go buy some orange globes which will be easy to find anywhere. -
yes! we need to organize this thing. 25th sounds good to me, gives us a few weeks for maps etc. are you guys interested in a day or night cruise? the route etc will directly depend on when we are cruising. all suggestions will be taken into account
-
cheers, yeh the rims came on the car when i bought it but i dont mind them, wish they had some dish.. notice my nice rusty disks i think that car used to be "crow boy marios's" on these forums looks very clean.
-
mate! all those tuk tuks with cannons and tiny rims! they drone like bitches! but yes, if you want fake rims they will be heavy and not of great quality but somewhere like thailand or china would be the go
-
when i got my car transported from vic to W.a about 8 months ago they drove my front bar straight into the ramps and put some HUGE cracks near where the kit attaches to the guard and on the front because my car is low.. anyway its a fibre glass kit and i have just left it and it hasn't got any worse for the past 8 months of driving and mine hits speed humps and driveways all the time. so your safe from any viruses but it does look like crap
-
ok, so i washed it and took some nice photos and couldn't resist posting again as the last photos didnt do it justice..
