Thats odd.. probably bought a different boot lid for the car and didnt change the locks over. whats this velet lock you mentioned? my key and lever both open my boot.. only thing is to go back to the guy who sold you the car..

Sorry about the late reply.. its based at the carlile? calile? calilse? tafe campus.. theres apprentises and pre-apprentises that work there and they have portfolios of their work. Pretty sure the only catch is that you have to pay for the paint the students use.. They would have a hard time stuffing up a bumper respray imo. hope that helps.

Man wtf? is there something wrong with your shift key? i personally like personal plates and am getting some of my own soon, that being said there are a lot of ghey ones out there and you should only get plates that mean something to you. like was said before, dont just get them for the sake of getting them.

If your willing to take a risk take your car down to the airbrushing Tafe. the students are always needing projects and all you have to do is pay for the paint they use. Plus if your dont like the job they do they have to re-do it. Quite a few of them are really good (i know as my mates one of them) just a thought.

The turbos act as a bit of a muffler so when the N/a's have the usual exhaust set up ie: extractors, cat, resonator, cannon they are quite a bit louder than the turbo models. but being louder doesnt neccesarily mean better.

Been trying to find some to buy for ages. If there is a group buy im definatley in.

The radio is shite anyway. The best way is to break it yourself or let some dickhead break it off for you while its in a carpark. (like myself) then buy a head unit that will play your ipod. just my 2cents worth

Yeh i thought there might be a problem getting them to fit as it might make the bonnet sit higher if the stut is too big. pretty sure they wont weigh much and i personally feel it would be convieniant. thanks for the replys guys.

Depends on your money situation. i got pods because they were cheaper to buy and paint etc. the bar will look nicer but then cost more.

Hey guys, Now i have noticed on a lot of cars, that instead of having the old metal prop to hold the bonnet up they have hydraulic arms either side of the engine bay that allow you to sit the bennet at any level. Skylines have them in the boot but still have the metal prop for the bonnet. i was curious as to why they werent made with the hydraulic system on both as it would make thigs a bit easier when working on your car, as the prop bar often gets in the way. Has anybody else noticed this and tried making up some hydraulic arms for their bonnet? i have looked around and havent managed to find anything either diy or aftermarket and would be interested in doing it myself if anybody has any information. cheers Karl

Pretty sure this has been covered heaps... most skylines average 400 - 500km's per tank depending on mods and how they are driven.

Top thread ok wgmg 1. most of the sujestions on the past 40 something pages, and yes i read them all. 2. The other day i parked my car at the carosel upstairs parking lot. on the way home it started to rain so i instictively stick the wipers on. only to realise that some poor excuse for human life has stolen the wiper blades out of my wipers!!!! who the hell does that?!? Not only am i now pissed because 2 pieces of metal have left some nice big scratches all over my windscreen but my wind screen is also covered in water and i can bearly see where im going! very dangerous not to mention lame. Wiper blades are like $10 who the hell would steal them? Gahh very grinded!

Ah cheers, sigh, i was looking forward to a nice shiney pipe. mates have got commodores and the like and say it flows better than the plactice pipe.. but didnt take into account that box thing that looks like a block of chocolate. Im running a pod atm but i need some sort of housing as it's just sucking in hot air from the engine bay, would it be better to buy one of those plastic shield things you see at supercheap or to try and re-route the piping to the front of your kit someplace?
