maybe but i dont like the idea, sounds like you will end up with a big mess. Probably ruin your screwdriver in the process aswell. -
Hks Gt2835 Pro S Rear Housing!
silverr34gtt replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
if you have rounded the grub screw your in trouble. get a small pin punch or similar and give the grub screw a hit inside the bottom of the hex to try and shock it loose. make sure your allen key is not rounded also. If all else fails go to a tool shop and buy an extractor set and drill a hole in the grubscrew. then use the extractor to unscrew it. also be sure to soak it in wd 40 or similar before attempting to remove any screw/ bolt that has been exposed to high temps. Good luck -
R34 Rb25det Neo Vs. R33 Series 2 Rb25det
silverr34gtt replied to pricer-1's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Theres plenty of neo specific head upgrades like poncams and fine tune timing belts ect. the stock rb25 neo has superior torque and power to the earlier rb25 also. Parts to replace. Might want to look at a set of splitfires, i had problems with standard coilpacks failing. Other than that i cant think of anything, unless u want to go for extra power. -
Metal Chuck Possibly Swimming In My Engine
silverr34gtt replied to fishy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Cant see anything in your photo, its far to blurry. -
Hmmm wonder what people will do when apexi shut down opperations. Where will you send it then? (if it failed).
-
Emanage Ultimate is the sensible choice.
-
How much power does it currently make? and what ecu are u using at the moment?
-
I suppose that will determined by the workshop doing the install and tune. for the r33 being a plug and play, i cant see it costing more that $500 all up. However this is only a guess. I am getting my ultimate hard wired into my 34gtt (take longer than plug and play) and tuned, plus tomei pump installed, plus injectors installed, fuel reg and z32 afm for around $1100.

Hi , Read this page http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=154016 I personally think youd have to be mad to buy a pfc for $1500 when you could have the ultimate for less that $900. I believe the ultimate will eliminate your 180 kph limit, and has the option for a switch between 2 maps, ie race and street. im about to get mine installed, so if u can wait a week or so ill post up some results then.
-
I believe so. If you buy the ultimate off slide you will get everything u need for the install. ie harness computer ect. About $870 i think and should be able to give the result your after.
-
i think youd have to get the ultimate to reach your goal. If its for an r33 you can modify a 33 gtr harness to work with gtst. Then its just plug in and tune. Only one harness is requred for the ultimate to control ignition and fuel. read the emanage ultimate guide thread. Plenty of answers in there.

I think you could achieve you goal with emanage if u have all the supporting mods inplace.
-
lol, dont be silly the emanage is a good unit. cost effective and able to do alot of things for the price range.
-
I think you will find the kit includes a harness for the wiring. whereas the computer is just that, the emanage only no wiring harness included.

My previous car was an rx7 running a 12 turbo efi setup. I used a microtech lt4 as fuel management and the car never really ran well. was tuned by maztech made 184 rwhp, but used to idle all over the place and never idle in warmer weather. Proply caused by the fact it was running primary 870cc injectors only. However this has tarnished my view of their products. I have bought the emanage now so thanks for all the input guys. Much appreciated

E-manage Ultimate (emu) 56k Beware (screen Shots)
silverr34gtt replied to STATUS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi security thanks for the response, my universal harness has 3 plugs at the ultimate end. ie theres no more room for any other plug into the unit. Surely this means that i have all the necissary wires to control the ignition and the injectors. if not where does it plug into? -
wow.

Hi me again, just thought id post what mods i have and are about to complete to give you guys an idea of where im heading. My mods are R34 GT-T Hks front pipe and Hks dump into high flow cat and Trust PE 2. Hks type S FMIC. Hks Gtrs kit. Tomei fuel pump. Nismo panel air filter. C's short shifter. Greddy Profec 2 ebc. Splitfire coil packs. And these are soon to be installed. Nismo 480cc injectors. Nismo FPR. Z32 airflow meter. Emanage Ultimate + universal wiring harness. (jumper 8 set to 12v plus internal plug installed) My goal is 250rwkw (streetable, daily, reliable power) Ok hopefully that clears up why im asking questions about the injector harness and the emu in general. Thanks guys. -
Haltech looks like a feature packed unit. However for over 2k its a little to pricey. I think ill stick withe the original plan and go with the Emanage Ultimate.

E-manage Ultimate (emu) 56k Beware (screen Shots)
silverr34gtt replied to STATUS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Trust have specific harnesses for most vehicle types. To avoid any damage when installing it is recommended to use the correct harrness for your vehicle. When using a harness there is no need for the optional injector or ignition harness. I found that on nengun while invesigating pricing on additional harnesses. Now im really confused. Anyone please clarify? -

Hi all, Justa quick question what are the benifits of having the ignition harness? and the injector harness? what do they do? I will be running aftermarket injectors nismo 480cc on my r34 gt-t. do i need the injector harness? Thanks guys -
Thanks for the input Michael. Yes there are several tuners in melbourne capable of tuning the ultimate well. I suppose that the ultimate is my best option really in the scale of things. Pfc's have become very dear due to scarcity, and the ultimate is newer technology. this update feature was something i was not aware of. Thanks again, Looking straight at the ultimate now. Still any other input will be interesting.
