Hi, Sold my R32 GTST and had some spare parts for sale. - Quiet Exhaust - $50 - used this to pass the blue slip, was told it was off a stock GTR but not sure. - Tein Coilovers - $75 - 2 sets, front and back, I replaced these with some MCA blues, they worked fine but the driver rear had a small knock. Non adjustable. - 6 Used RB25DE coilpacks - 50 - I did buy one brand new (I think its the last one in the picture) assuming 1 was misfiring but could not isolate it so just replaced the entire set. All sold as is. If some one wants to pick the whole lot then happy to sell for 100. Pick up in the North Shore, Sydney. Cheers

nsw/act 1989 GTS-T with RB25DET - Bee R324 Kit
CWest posted a topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
1989 R32 GTS-T with a RB25DET conversion (mod-plated) Bee-R324 Style Body Kit NSW Rego till 11/17 $15,500 negotiable Original intention was to use it as a great base for a nice cruiser but have upgraded instead. RB25 Motor is not modified and on stock boost, car drives and runs really well. Price is negotiable but low-ballers will be ignored, I am in no rush to sell. Plates do not come with car. Only bought the car last October and have had the following work ($4000 receipts included) 1. Major service - October 2016 - Timing Belt and Oils - Alarm System with Immobiliser - Coil over install and alignment 2. MCA Blue Coilovers 3. Replaced R32 Cluster with 99,000 kms - with new Speedo Cable - Included is the Original Cluster with 168,000 kms 4. Minor Service - July 2017 - by Scott Black on this forum - Coilpacks and other general maintanence - Compression Test with all 6 at 160 (Pics can be supplied) Current Mods Performance RB25 DET Conversion - with engineers certificate and engine number on rego - Running Stock Boost - SPAL USA Extreme Performance Thermo Fan - Front Mount Intercooler - Aluminium Radiator with Silicon Hoses - Spitfire Coil packs - 3 inch turbo back exhaust - Also included - stock quiet exhaust Suspension Work - 19 Inch Star Corp - Black - MCA Blue Coilovers - legal height - Also Included - Used Tein Coil Overs - R33 Slotted Rotors - R33 Cusco Master Stopper Body - Bee R324 Style Bodykit V2 (Wider Version) - Midnight Purple with Flakes - Ganador Style Mirrors - LED Tail Lights Interior - R32 GTR Seats - Driver, Passenger and Rear - R32 GTR Door Cards - Sony Xplod Stereo - Double Din - Sub Woofer and Speakers - (Not wired as Sub Woofer is the size of the trunk, but all the wires and equipment is there) - Turbo Timer - Mongoose Immobiliser Other: Paint is generally good however, rear passenger quarter has a small crack in the body kit near the rear pillar due to shop incorrectly raising of the car on jacks. Also slight split of clear coat peel on bonnet. I have taken photos to show it but it never bothered me. - Not really a bad point but car runs a little rich - Small Hole in driver seat as well as a tear - No AC - Driver Key does not unlock the boot (the boot lever works fine) - Probably could do with a new battery starts fine if started once a week, but not if you don’t for 2 weeks like I have done, didn’t really get to drive it much. -
Well I have just been through it but I am not an expert. For a base R34 GTR with over 4 grading and less than 60000km that ticked all the Ironchef checks the starting price was around 85k landed and complied. Mind you with the current exchange rate 89Yen to 1AUD this is closer to 80k. So it might of paid off to wait. However in the 2 months that I was looking only 1 car came up that ticked all the boxes so all things considered I was happy with the end result. I am unsure about any other variations but obviously Vspecs or any other variation are more. Generally more kms or grading 3.5 and so forth are less. There was lots of things that the Ironchef guys looked at like smokers car, rust etc and I was advised against cars with too many mods. I wanted a stock car anyhow as I think these will do better over time. The similar ones I saw on carsales from dealers are around the 95k mark (and none of these have less than 60000 kms) so I think a 75 to 85k price is about right.

1998, Black, R34 Gt Manual Coupe - $14,750
CWest replied to CWest's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Hi Guys, Just a quick update. For those who called, sms, pm etc. who were told that the car is sold. I had a buyer who left me a deposit but it seems he will not be able to purchase my car as his finance fell through. So the car is for sale again. BTW I am in Sydney. Regards Jack -
1998, MANUAL, BLACK, R34 GT, NON-TURBO. Only one Australian owner, much loved car. This car has always been serviced and maintained regularly with Elf or Motul oils at Powerplay Imports (I am sure you can ask Josh) with all receipts and records available for proof. 100,000 Km service has already been done. It also has Spitfire Coils. - ORIGINAL Cwest Body Kit not copy, factory wing has been removed but I still have it. - 17 Inch lightweight wheels, Gram Lights. - Xenon Lights, Full 2.5 Exhaust, Double Din CD/Tape Stereo, Immobiliser, I also have roof racks for this car. I have owned this car for 3 years and have taken good care of it. However domestic life means I will need a more practical car. Please contact me on 0438233490 as I dont log on here everyday.

I got roof racks from a place in Artamon, Sydney. Cost me $200 and I carry my Ocean Kayaks on it. Was surprised to be able to pick up a roof rack catalogue and find my car on it. They are adjustable as well so I can take them off when I dont need them. Ill find out what brand they are tonight.

[updated!] Need Help! - Dash Symbols For The R34
CWest replied to Viscount's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
John, each new coil pack from Nissan will be 250 so for 2 thats $500. You may as well get a set of Spitfires (6 coil packs) for $650. Sooner or later your other 4 old coil packs will also fail and then you will go through this whole process again. BTW I have a brand new coil pack from Nissan sitting here in the office which I didnt use as I decided just to go for Spitfires in the end. If it takes them 2 long to get the part (took my mechanics 2 weeks) PM and I can sell you this one. But I still think the spitfires are the better solution. -
Still for sale ?

[updated!] Need Help! - Dash Symbols For The R34
CWest replied to Viscount's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey John Been a while mate. When they said its the coillpacks did they replace one coil pack or all 6, because if they only replaced one then most likely another one has failed. This is why in general you get all 6 replaced at the same time. The sympton u describe is exactly what has happened to me twice now. Last time about 2 years ago and I replaced one coil pack and the car was fine for 1 and half years and then it happened 6 months ago. I replaced one coil pack and it stopped for a month and started again so I got the whole lot of them replaced with spitfire ones. No problems since. Basically the whole car will be running fine and then you will feel the car struggling and the revs missing, sometimes you can hear it just before it happens and then you will see the check engine light. You can then turn off your car and then turn it back on and it will be fine for about 5mins and it might happen again. Sometimes doesnt happen for a few days sometimes everyday. Mate this is what it sounds like then for sure its your coil packs. I spent a lot of money last time trying to figure out what it was in the end all I had to do was get them replaced, should of done it 2 years ago. Jack -
R34 Gt-t Left (passenger Side) Window Glass Smashed..
CWest replied to m-p's topic in New South Wales
I had my drivers side smashed when people tried to break into mine got it replaced by PowerPlay. They replaced it and everything for about 250 to 300 I think. Only place that had one for an R34. No point calling Obrians they dont have them. -
Oh I see. The coil packs must be the same when you use genuine Nissan Parts then cause I was told that the Spit Fire ones are not the same. Anyhow ZERO if you want you can have a set of 6 R34 Nissan coil packs of which one is faulty (dont know which one) and one Brand New One (cost about 250 from Nissan, I have the receipt) for 200 all up.
-
Yeah changing the coil packs out of a 34 is more difficult than changing them in a 33, so I doubt you can do it yourself like that article suggests. Rather than using the Nissan ones which cost about 250 each you are best off getting the spitfire ones which are 650-700 like you have pointed out. I have 5 old (in ok condition) coil packs and 1brand new coil pack for the R34 but since mine is a non-turbo I dont think you can use these ones.

Whats the redbook prices for the GT ?
-
I have a manual black R34GT with an original Cwest Body kit as well. When I put it up for sale next month I will probably ask between 23-25K as well I dont think I could realistically get more for it. I'd say 22K is a good deal.

Thanks for the reply. The crack doesnt look too bad but it is cracked just past where the outer section meets the spoke so the place I took it to (Neales wheels) said they could not fix it. I am trying a place in Chipping Norton this afternoon for a second opinion. Ill let u know in anycase.
