  1. Ive done a 14.9 1/4, so maybe my 0-100 is around 7. This was done without a spare tyre and front bar and with only a 4000rpm launch. Might do better with a higher rpm launch and better tyres. NA 34s are not built for speed but they are quick enough for me. I only ever managed a 14.4 in my r33 s2 Gts-t, mind u it was pretty stock.
  2. Hehe ... do you have the tiptronic or manual box. Oh the 14.35 was done in a manual s2 r33 Gtst. I think a flat 14 should be possible with your setup if you are manual. I did test drive a manual r34GTT after my series 2 was stolen and I noticed that the NEO engine seemed to give more power higher in the revs than my r33 ever did. So I hope you get your flat 14 ET.   3. Yes GT has no turbo. Just the ordinary 2.5LDE with variable timing. I've only got a 2.5 full exhaust system, air pod filter and a SAFC. Mind u for that ET I took out the rear seats, stereo, spare tyre, front bar (Cwest bar is pretty big) and only had a 1/4 tank. Still I was happy with that result, the best my previous near stock S2 R33 ever did was 14.35, though it was fully loaded.
  4. Guys I have a manual 34 and have run a 14.9 with the slips to prove it. The thing is I am N/A. I dont think a xr6 N/A could do that. Manual is the way to go, except maybe the auto supra.

    Hey I finished uni ages ago and worked in Marketing for about 5 years. The pay was damn good but I always felt it wasnt right working in that field. The point was u had to sell products so your pay depended on how well your products sold and also the number of lies, manipulation and utter effort you had to give to sell these products. Anyways i decided to do a quick 2 year part time course in programming and have worked in IT now for about 3 years as a programmer. IT is great if you have a knack for computers and it has a great creative outlet if you go into the programming side if things. And it really isnt all that hard. Good luck in your choice.
  6. Hi gxeug You know what, if you can afford it, go for it. I am a bit older (mid twenty) than u so I payed about 2500 this year for insurance for my r34 gt. I went with just cars because I didnt really want to go for famous even though a lot of people do. I had my old car a r33 gtst stolen which is why i paid so much for this years insurance. I know a lot of the other guys are saying to get a r33 turbo but you will pay more for insurance and you will have to pay a LOT more for maintenace, i.e service 5000 kms and new tyres often, plus clutch and so forth (i know i did). I guess this is why you are choosing a non turbo. And I know a non turbo is slower, but I dont understand why people say its not as much fun. My r33 was faster but I dont think by that much. R33 are too common for me these days and before anyone gets pissed at this comment, I loved my r33 and i would be driving it today if it hadnt been stolen. But r34s are just different ... they IMHO just look more refined and just seem to do things better. Plus the interior is nicer and they pull heaps more looks from others. They are also newer and will have less wear and tear. My r34 has a few light mods and I am just loving it. So I say to you if you can afford it go the r34. Sure you might bang it up or whatever but honestly guys IF YOU COULD AFFORD IT AND WANTED TO BUY A NON TURBO car like our friend here wants to ......... would u buy anything else ??? I know i wouldnt

  9. Sorry late response. R34 coil packs new 250 from Nissan Dealer. Second Hand 50 - 150. BTW R34 coil packs are same as R33 S2 coil packs. Install them yourself if you can, I got ripped off charged 600 for coil pack and installation from Nissan Dealership. Never going there again. Sorry still a bit peeved.

  11. Whats wrong with FlyKy and the cars at north shore prestige. They seem to be what u are looking for. A friend of mine has a black 34 gt with a CWest Kit, just like mine. I might ask him but I dont know y u are knocking back the other cars.
  12. got 1 of my coil packs changed today .. a common problem with the line series mine a 34. Cost me 600 bucks cause i got ripped off. Never going there again

  15. I got an original Cwest GTT bodykit on my car after considering the GTR version. Ill tell you now that what I have now is worth more than 7000 after painting and fitting. If you can afford the GTR version after you have bought new guards and so forth you will be out of pocket for a large sum of money. Just get the 34GTR if you can afford it. The Cwest GTT kit is quite nice anyhows though now i wish id gone for the East Bear kit.

  18. Thanks Frank it is the ECU light not oil. Cars due for a service anyhow so id rather let my mechanic handle it. Still looking for a mechanic in the North Shore, which mechanic do u use ?

  20. Thanks Ben HPI. I was told that by my mechanic ill get it checked out next week. One thing though, my mechanic wants me to disconnect my SAFC casue he thinks they are not worth the hassle and he doesnt want to tune the car with it on. Should i change mechanics ? By the way HPI rocks

  22. The ECU warning light on my 34 has started turn on. Its the one on the top right of the speedo. It only comes on about 5 mins after the car is started as if an error is only detected after the car has warmed up. Anyone ever had a similiar problem. Wondering whether the SAFC is messing up the ECU. Car is going in the shop next week but was wondering if anyone knew about what could cause this. The car seems fine and is running without anything noticeably wrong.
  23. Hmm. I dont lose to commodores often. Even the SS I can usually keep up with easily. I did have a xr6 turbo beat me the other day though. The only mods I have is full exhaust, pod and SAFC. Mine's a 34 though so I know im lighter than a 33 and I have light rims too. So im quite sure stock an 34 is prob quicker than a 33.
  24. HPI did a comparison between the non turbo Four door skyline and the latest Holden (dont remember which but it was a 3.8) the skyline was faster, both were automatic. The latest HPI has a comparison between non turbo Supra and non turbo Skyline. Think the skyline did 7.33 on the 0 - 100 km. Supra was faster. I think that the Skyline was stock and manual. You should comfortably be faster than most family holdens if you arent a bad driver.
