  1. I agrre with that one adz. But to add to that one have you ever noticed how the holden utes also are almost always driven by youngish white guys who seem to think those utes make them look super tough! I swear every guy driving those utes likes to look around and give tough looks.
  2. I think they should use your voice, never know where those hands have been, particularly with 50 sweet cars around.
  3. I love how the dattos always dominate your videos crossy! It's a good reminder for all these DATSUN skyline drivers of their heritage!
  4. I think it's worth noting that there are a multitude of combinations and sizes which all get included under the title of a high flow. I know you guys are talking about one workshop's particular stage 3 high flow but it's worth pointing out that the combination supplied by them will almost certainly be different to any other workshop. A "high flow" turbo can be as simple as putting a larger exhaust housing on an otherwise untouched turbo. This will net bigger peak hp but will sacrifice midrange. If you decide to have a turbo high flowed, ask exactly what is being done. I would be asking for wheel trims and diameters and run the info past somebody who can make some sense of it. There is no point in taking an Hitachi exhaust housing and bolting a 600hp compressor to it. Sure it might make your desired power levels but wont' be much fun. The last point is that for any desired power output, a high flowed turbo will almost always be less responsive than an aftermarket turbo with matching wheels that's appropriate for that desired output.
  5. I do my best! There's always time for laugh
  6. I'm new to computers but could really use the money. Here's my attempt (don't laugh).
  7. 20 entrants only? How will you be selecting who gets a go? More than half of those spots are already taken by important club members, leaving not much space for the rest of us.
  8. It is a handfull. And lets face it, driving a datsun is cheaper than a gym membership these days!
  9. Weather was perfect. I even got a bit sunburnt. The small numbers meant that you could pretty much do as much driving as you liked towards the end of the day. It was a shame to see some poor bloke smash his R33 GTR on one of the last sessions of the day. It had some pretty heavy damage and definitely needed a trailer home.
  10. So I don't see too many skylines on the list? What's everybody else's excuses? I just faxed my form off but thought I'd ask everybody what sort of times are respectable around winton. I stuck down a conservative 1:50 for the old datto but would be dissapointed if I didn't go quicker than that. What sort of times should I be looking fore? EDIT: Congrats Chris on the bub chris!

Has anybody actually been over to Toperformance lately? I went there about a month ago and it looked like it's changed into some regular mechanic garage?
  12. This does sound ridiculous but I don't think the value of the modification should be correlated with whether it's defectable or not. You can bash out the contents of your cat converter for free but I would understand being defected for it.
  13. I think I should be able to make it for this one. It should be a good one to find out who i've got to beat next year!
  14. What do you think? I was stopping! I think because the ground was a bit loose at the finish line there I kept locking up the rear brakes and on that particular occasion I was already coming in a bit hot! Atleast it made a good photo!
  15. Thanks heaps to the organisers. It was a fun day despite the hot weather and flies. It was good to see no major dramas with cars although you skyline drivers probably don't worry about that stuff as much as us datsun drivers! I still have the sound of jeff's S4 in my head, man that thing sounds cool. winning 1 out of 3 battles is still good ryan, don't be down on yourself.
  16. My datsun gets 40 rods to the hogs head and that's the way I likes it! Remind me to fill the coal and asbestos chambers.
  17. Was he also the co-driver with Fury in 84 when Fury had that famous lap and stuck the bluebird on pole?
  18. I think what URAS was getting at was that changing the entry position of a factory design inlet manifold can have detrimental effects on the distribution of air flow to each cylinder. It may not even be evident on the dyno but you might find that, should you have lambda sensors on each cylinder, the air fuel ratios will vary between cylinders. It makes it harder to tune as you only have an average A/F ratio coming out the exhaust when infact one cylinder may be at 13:1 and one at 11:1. Does look good though
  19. nice work big bird. I love that DR30
  20. Anybody get any pics? I would have liked to come but was working.
  21. He's going to bog up the side of his bluebird. Should get through scrutineers at DECA! Nah, we are double entering mine.
  22. How about I speak for him and say that by not plumbing your BOV back you create what I would not call an "air leak" because it's still fine when on boost but you still release metered air if you are using an AFM. This means the car runs momentarily rich each time the BOV releases some air. It's not rocket science, quite frankly I can't understand why people go out of their way to make their cars effectively run worse just for that wanker sound.
  23. Bring the Datto! I bet there has never been 2 1200's at an SAU deca before!
  24. Entry form in and payed. I didn't get a confirmation message so if you got it would you be able to say? cheers Dave
  25. Hey Ryan do you have any say in the parts they fit in the cars? I hope you didn't recommend they fit those auto adjusting tie rods?
