  1. Mmm decisions decisions. What sort of boost can a highflow handle? GTRS's can easily do 20 psi i hear. Since they are fairly small they would spool to 20 psi pretty quick too! Now I'm leaning towards the GTRS again...

  5. What do stock ecu's usually run knock at? I would have thought under 5 always on 91 octane or something really low to prolong the engine. The lower the better i say.
  6. Gday all My engine stalls a fair bit even when the clutch is fully depressed, it does it usually on 3 point turns or around a parking lot or a busy intersection! I thought it was a dirty AFM but i cleaned it out and the problem still exists. I have a pod, fmic, plumb back bov, power fc and turbo back exhaust. Thanks!
  7. I am using octane booster atm as my car was somehow tuned on 100 octane petrol and i can only get 98 octane petrol. When I get some money and a tuner i will retune for 98 octane and everything will be sweet. On my current tank and first tank of using octane booster knock hasn't been over 20 using 12psi, used hit 45ish.
  8. There is a product from Xforce called the Varex which is a butterfly valve controlled by remote on a 3 inch pipe costs about 400ish.

  10. Yer i have Re-001 on the front of my car and cant complain. I got them for 240 each.

  13. +1 For stock bov, or GTR one. I have a GFB Stealth FX and atmo sounds great. Plumb back is also good, nice and fluttery. If you put it half way you can have a quieter atmo sound. I had it on atmo for a while and never had an issue with stalling, it did feel weaker though like the intake feel was different.

  15. Ok, i've really developed an interest in tuning power fc's and want to get FC Datalogit to actually do it on mine. On they're website they advertise the software and the cable for $400ish i think, on this smaller tuning site ausperformace they advertise it for $650 but with some LC1 cable. A few people have told me the cable itself is 600-700... I'm confused. So i need to get the software to do it with, the cable to connect it to my laptop and how important is a wideband o2 sensor? Thanks alot
  16. What are normal prices for that castrol diff and manual transmission oil from say repco?
  17. Did you find out if it was a sensor issue? If its the exhaust temp sensor then its nothing really to worry about, and when thats disconnected it will make the check engine light flash aswell.

  19. I want to get bigger injectors on my gtst with a gtrs turbo, how badly will this affect fuel econonmy if i dont drive hard when i have these mods? I currently get around 400 k's to a tank with conservative driving and the odd squirt here and there. I have a Power FC

  21. Hi all, I'm wondering if simply removing the power plug to the hicas motor is enough to remove hicas from your car safely. I unplugged it today and drove around and found driving without hicas to be fantastic but im concerned if this hurts the car somehow since everyone else is putting lock bars or lock kits on there cars. Thanks!

  23. I have driven this car and know the owner fairly well, it drives great for a non turbo and has a very nice sound to it. Mitch has taken exceptional care of this skyline aesthetically and mechanically. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in skylines, non turbos are rare and the price is very justified.
  24. Knock levels aren't too bad actually, i had some trouble with it before but i think the boost wasn't tuned correctly (liked to spike). I switched from bp ultimate to normal v-power last week and i havent seen knock over 25. I'll take it to the drags and see how i go. Nizmonut, so i retard the timing by the odd degree?
  25. Yeah somehow the previous owner had 100 octane shell petrol in it for the tune, he said it didnt have ethanol in it but he may have been mislead. Who knows. So a WHOLE retune is required to have the car running optimally?
