Gt-r Vs Evo Vs Clubsport
GTR-32U replied to boostin_r33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hard Question to answer as all the cars you listed are good in there own way. It all depends on what you expect from the car -
+1 I love the older ones the most. 308 GTS " Magnum PI " or the 328 GTS...Testarossa in red...gotta love that

Just Me Venting.. Why Buy Non Turbo..
GTR-32U replied to Nick.'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
^123wkw is a pretty respectable number for a 2.5 atmo engine. What mods got you there may I ask ? -
If she does key your car, Retaliate by popping a few sugar cubes in her fuel tank...From what i am told it will totally Fk any engine

Just Me Venting.. Why Buy Non Turbo..
GTR-32U replied to Nick.'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
For some time I was after an RB20DE R32 for a daily. Unfortunately I couldnt find bugger all, For some reason very few made it onto our shores ( So I am told ) So I ended up with a Corolla instead -
I have admit that when I am really bored a good one to have a go at is the TVR Cerbera speed 12. Use it in arcade mode with traction control off...Fkn thing teaches Victor Bray a lesson or two about laying rubber... It just never stops wheelspinning ! Top gear right up to 190mph...insane

Nothing against the 308 LJ but they are a shocking handling thing. You sit behind the wheel and the steering wheel is off centre. Factor in the cost and effort to get a 308 in there - not really worthwhile considering an LH or LX came with 308 standard and arent really that much heavier than the 308 LJ. Sure they may have been a good handler with a light 202 and Brockie behind the wheel. But with a 308- Lead tipped arrow ?

These ferrari drivers are not the best. I seen one in an accident only a few weeks earlier on the M4 Westbound. Car had spun right around facing the oncoming traffic, couldnt tell whether or not he clipped the wall.

R33 Flat Lines Once It Hits Limiter?
GTR-32U replied to mr-r33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well a quick fix for this problem, Firstly BEFORE you get to the redline you need to rapidly remove your right foot/shoe from the accelerator pedal. Then with your left foot/shoe you need to press in the pedal furthest to the left ( this is called the clutch pedal ) Whilst that pedal is depressed , With your left hand you need to reach over and grab the gear stick and gently but assertively select the next gear. When this sequence is complete gently but assertively release pressure from the clutch pedal ( your left foot/shoe ) until pedal has completed all of its travel. Resume acceleration by pressing the pedal furthest to the right ( Accelerator pedal ) Hope that helps your problem -
I think the Police need to Muscle up ! How many times have you seen an officer and he is some scrawny underfed 60kg piss-ant ? Nothing against 60kg Piss-ants as I am sure they have their place in the force ( like admin work/fetching coffee or donuts ) But when it comes to street crime you need riot police. Guys who are over 80kg , 6 ft tall and can handle themselves in crowd conflict. Martial arts or self defense background etc.... I think somebody else mentioned something along these lines earlier about having a clean up crew on the beat. But was flamed by somebody stating their 20 cops would be hopeless against 300 hoods... I dont really agree with that I think a few riot cops in groups WOULD clean up pretty well. Sure there may be 300 hoods , But you have to remember that these 300 hoods are not all in unison and supportive of each other-usually the opposite. Riot police have pretty good resources available if need be. Back in my security days I had the chance to witness a certain Shopping centre who had hoodlum problems briefly employ a "clean up crew " to assist there already outnumbered security team. Funnily enough it was only 5 guys...And i have to admit in the beginning I was highly sceptical... But after a few weeks....unbelievable..!! They would pick off there targets one by one- very organised.. Amazing when the fully hectic troublemaker guys with all these contacts on the mobile phones walks past a fire escape door in a shopping mall to have the clean up crew race out of it,grab and drag him in and close the door in under 5 seconds... All the concrete walls in the fire escape passages block the mobile reception...Well all my scepticism disappeared when you see the guy that you dont mess with Bawling his eyes out like a spanked baby Cant say that i really supported what they did, But it was effective

Well done for Whooping this trashbags butt... But that news story above is just GOLD...I laughed so hard I was in tears

I never let ANY tyre shops do my wheel alignments. They are the roughest Bastards. Years ago I had a Well known Tyre shop do an alignment on an XE Foulcan. I drove out feeling good but after driving over some potholed roads I noticed the steering position had changed. So pissed off I got the car up onto a hoist to discover they had stripped the eccentric camber bolt and it was moving freely..Well I went back their after Blood and the morons tried to tell me that the car was like that before they started...Bullshit artists I had steering work plus alignment done by East coast suspensions in kirrawee ( streets away from Just Jap ) They did the best job I had ever done..So I dont really care that they are so far away .That is the only place I will go to. I just dont get it with Sydney, Almost impossible to find a reputable shop who can do a simple thing as a proper wheel align

R33 Gtst Slow, Whats Wrong
GTR-32U replied to ##r32skyline##'s topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Well if the car feels slower maybe something isnt right or you are getting used to it, Best to satisfy your curiosity and get it onto a Dyno and see what sort of health your car is in. But the time recorded as illegal as it was does seem very slow considering the car isnt 100% standard -
R33 Just Got Out From The Dyno, Awesome Result!
GTR-32U replied to Nick378's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Wow excellent result. And if I may also add your a brave guy pushing a stocker to that level of power -
Well i personally am not a fan of Bastard engine swaps., ie engine from a different manufacturer But to go a little against the grain the V6 engine by Buick is quite an animal. For all those slinging crap at it check this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djN94DHkAsA

I took one of my VN's years ago to a pedders just for a wheel alignment. The fools wrote me out a quote for almost a grand quoting to replace, everything from steering rack right through to springs just about. Told em see ya...I would recommend Eastcoast suspensions in kirrawee.Very happy with their work.No Bullshitting to me, straight upfront and at a fair price too

Automatic R33 Gts-t Vs Type R Integra Dc2
GTR-32U replied to AutoRocket's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Mmmm...That must be the jap spec times ( 147 kw as opposed to Aus spec 141 kw- Jap spec had better rubber too ) as I am pretty sure most testers in the day achieved 0-100 in 7 and a 400 mtrs in 15.1...But you are right, very respectable numbers for an NA 1.8 front wheel drive
