  1. Sorry but this would have to be the biggest Crock of Shit I have ever read on here UnAustralian for what he did ? That is just farken stupid..! The Drunken junkie Ho could have killed people. At least the guy did his best to try and get her caught. So what he would have been a Good Aussie if he just let her go ...... Really its that Stupid...please define being unaustralian to us all.....
  2. now heres THE cheapest way to drift.. Take any front wheel drive car, place 2 McDonalds food trays under the rear wheels and pull the handbrake on...Then take off !!! - Hint the trays usually last longer if its wet weather
  3. yeah right....all that will do will cause the car to fishtail, hit the gutter and flip onto its roof or wrap around a telegraph pole....Or if its a single spinner...lay one big black line down...I wouldnt try to drift a commodore unless I had some major suspension work..Stock they are awful
  4. wow that is sensational...!!! Probably more fun than the real thing...Now I gotta figure out where to buy a trike and where to start drifting it
  5. why not....? If you feel that you need a larger 4 door sedan then I think the XR6 turbo is an excellent choice..So what if handling isnt as good as the R33....improvements can be made without spending the earth
  6. well if thats what it takes to bring the nations spending (inflation down ) and maybe reduce interest rates then I have no problem driving at $2 a litre....long gone are the days of having a large family car to do the work trips/shopping etc....Need a 4 banger thats under 2 litres of capacity
  7. not good....Have you checked for oil inside the intercooler ?
  8. just had another look at that motor. As the exhaust is on the front side of the head I would believe it to be a B16C ....The K series motor has the intake on the front side. I do know they will go to 1.8 and even to 2.0 litres with the larger sleeve kit.But beyond this i am unsure. As for the motor having a built bottom end. I think it would be a safe guess to assume it at least has forged pistons and beefier rods at least. These motors were not designed for a turbo application from the factory. Hence pistons and rods would be relatively lightweight in mind for the intended application that being big RPM's. I know I wouldnt go to all the expense of installing all that big dollar turbo hardwear wound up so high into a standard motor.
  9. well while people will happily put down the $170K for the Commodore, HSV will continue to sell them at that price.I guess their is a market for it
  10. interesting point...If Toyota builds the Hybrid camrys and sell them here like they intend to..it could spell disaster for the local manufacturers specially with fuel costs hitting record highs
  11. personally.... I dont like them...sure they look good, but they do not contain the heat in like a cast manifold will. Some say the more efficient design brings on boost earlier. yet others say that due to the manifold losing so much heat there is less of it their to aid in exhaust gas velocity...So who knows !... On a GTR they would be a waste of money ...but on a GTST.....?
  12. wow its a much better looking car than the civic type R we got..The ugly duckling that thing is..interesting thats its a 4 door also.....very nice
  13. My last job was like this ( express airfreight )...You can only do it for so long till the body cries enough..last thing you want to do is slip a disk or Carpal tunnel syndrome...Hell i used to go to work on mondays feeling like crap from the week before....So wrong
  14. there are definately some bonafide circumstances beyond our control which can ruin things...that I agree...ouch ...sounds like you really got screwed over by awa...i would have quit too...My post is more for the people who "can" if they wanted to make the next step but choose not too..perfect example ? drive past a housing commission area and just look at what sort of cars are in the driveways...9/10 you will see the brand new car brigade..
  15. keep all receipts for any expenses ...towing etc....know any good solicitors ?....
  16. been there ...done that...Married now and paying a house off...Yes it isnt easy...it takes time. For the single people its understandable. But my post is more directed toward the couples who are renting and complaining. Both couples work but are just digging themselves further into debt because of the " I must have the best of everything " mentality...
  17. Yes you said it...People today amaze me...they got their priorities all wrong.People whinge and complain because landlords have to raise the rent to offset the interest rate increases. Poor babies are so hard done by...But hey as long as they got the brand new SS commodore on finance, The 6 ft plasma TV and surround sound...eating take away 5 nights a week and clubbing and going to the movies every weekend..not to mention the cigarrettes they devour...WAKE UP ....Buy a F&cking house !!!...Own a car you can actually afford to own ( yes with your own money-not a loan )...something thats economical....Honestly My daily is an AE92 Corolla ...Fuel prices really dont even worry me. As the difference from cheap fuel to expesive fuel would cost less than a big mac per tank.
  18. it would probably depend on how cheap you can score an RB26 for..If you can get a decent one at a decent price, as well as being able to swap old engine for new all by yourself...then maybe its a good deal
  19. Why wouldnt he be Japanese ? Psychos exist in every country and religion
  20. your dead right...I have seen people come off in a big way usually at the hairpin and at the end of the main straight...but at all times the car spun and slid onto grass until it stopped on its own- miles away from anything at all..its probably the only track I would ever go on. Everytime I have been to oran park however somebody without fail ends up wiping out the side of their car usually on that section just before the main straight...Wakefield is really one of the best tracks around
  21. yes that little round thing up on the dash is the light sensor..And the Air temp sensor for the climate control is behind that little grill in the radio fascia surround..The wiring can get a little dodgey and sometimes that black tube just slips off...I ended up replacing the sensor on mine..very easy job as I had a spare at the time..play around with it and see how you go
  22. makes it all the more sweeter when you have worked hard for many years but desired the car for so long but for reasons were unable...Finally you got your reward...CONGRATULATIONS !!! Hopefully in another couple of months ( If my house ever sells ) I will experience the same feeling...Beautiful machine
  23. there are a few floating around sydney however they just dont standout like WRX's of old.. They look just like every other car out there...You tend to only notice them if you are deliberately looking for one
  24. yeah i see what your getting at...And I have have never delivered or recieved one before so I cant really comment. however the bouncer who I worked with swore it was far more painful than a punch...And he did years of boxing ...Its not so much the collision damage, its more so the flesh stinging and that it covers such a large area if that makes any sense
  25. yes I would like to know that also....? .. I can only assume its a full handed face slap...If thats the case then yes they are more painful than a punch most of the time.. When I worked as a Bartender years ago there was an African bouncer we had who specialised in that one....not pretty..face stings for hours and a huge red handprint on a persons face...
