  4. I have worked with 2 guys who both owned VX - VY SS Commodores.Both of these guys were currently on there 3rd engine under warranty..oil pump failures,excessive blow by, excessive oil usage..I hope they have sorted these problems out with the ls2...

  6. sounds like a good idea and would not be that hard to do. Just get a generic type windscreen Washer bottle and squirter. and run it under the car with a nozzle facing windscreen height.As for stinky stuff ? God knows what you could use...Stale milk, stale beer....the mind boggles
  7. turn wipers and water squirters on for some time.Wash all the sh$t from your windscreen all over the car behind...works great on highways

  9. mate I dont know if 33s are the same as 32s but my 32 early after I bought it developed the same problem. Problem was traced to a little relay box somewhere around the steering column/under dash...basically the switch that you turn on kicks this relay on....after time the connections on the relay start to bend away from the heat....I am not 100% sure its actually a relay...but it works like one...hope that helps
  10. why was the engine changed with just 80 k on the clock ? This should still be a pretty fresh engine in theory..They should still be going well with 200k on the clock
  11. yes 100% true...Really turning into arrogant aggressive bastards.People trying to turn from the incorrect lane is a specialty.I just cut them off...stuff them.Golfs are bad as are any 3 series BMW.And it aint just the guys.Cops are never around on the roads like they used to be either. Try driving down george st at close to midnight on a Saturday.anything goes there..Cops avoid the place like the plague....
  12. beautiful car.....but if you are 6 ft + you will really have issues fitting in comfortably...I went for a ride in a mates one and it was stupidly fast. But I was just so uncomfortable in it......get in one and see if it is you...

I dont really know what maintenence has been performed on the car but if it were me I would be starting with the spark plugs...pull them out and check general condition gaps etc..then as I am reassembling all that I would pay close attention to the coil packs, any corosion on the connection where it meets spark plug ? squirt of WD40 may help.....good starting point as I am thinking if its a fuel issue you would have problems under load.....Unless you got a partially blocked injector or something...but start with the spark...I think the problem is there
  14. well how healthy is your clutch at the moment ? If its on its way out then prioritise that to be first..dump pipe is good....how much boost are you planning ? if its only a mild increase then a turbosmart boost controller are as cheap as..FMIC...shop around for that one..you may get one from an importer quite cheap...computer unfortunately is always gonna cost a bit but well worth the money spent if tuned well...
  15. he knows what car it is and where...he will return at a later date i am thinking..set him up one night..have some mates waiting and surround him..then demonstrate effective panelbeating techniques on him..and when you are finished...get a can of fluoro spraypaint and totally spray him with it. all over his face,in his hair,hands,clothes...good if you can put 2 or 3 colours in there too....and for a laugh piss all over him....he wont return

  17. very well said...one good thing about the 32s is that quite a lot have had turbo swaps while in japan..I know mine had a 2510 on it with HKS front mount when I first picked it up...Changed the exhaust later on and yes it was poor below 3000 rpm...but over 3000 it hauled...I had a couple of runs with XR6T's lower revs I was a bit off, higher revs....they struggled to stay with me...at 16 psi it really got moving...No they are not as good as an RB25 but if you are doing trackwork then I would still go the RB20...look at replacement engine costs RB20 vs RB25.....Not just that but I am led to believe the RB20 computer is a bit more flexible when performing mods...they make great cheap thrashers

Depends on how old you like your cars...Do not underestimate an R32 GTST compared to your XR6....as gutless as R32s are off boost...when the revs are there they are certainly capable of giving the XR6 a fright.I know my old one did.Fuel economy is nothing special...it runs lower comp than a R33...As much as I Love R32s I would recommend the R33...fresher car for close to the same money, lots more low end torque also

You will pick up a little more lag, more noticable in the lower gears...Standard GTR intercooler is a pretty good bit of gear.I highly doubt there would be any power increase at all..Unfortunately this is a trend here in Sydney..Guys putting the biggest intercooler they can fit, cutting away half the front bar etc....pointless unless you got the monster turbo and tune to go with it...Little do they realise that if they actually fitted a more practical sized IC the car would boost up faster
  20. yes its really starting to P me off big time too....I cant remember the last time I even seen 98 on sale.As for the other pumps most of the time they are out of order too....maybe have a couple standard unleaded pumps going ...just not good enough..we are paying big dollar for this crap, I expect better.Half the time i cant even get E10 let alone premium 95....I dont know what the other states are experiencing but I hope its not as bad as we got it
  21. I remember getting a Pm off you ages ago about this car....Still nothing...! Dept of fair trading maybe ? I think you deserve a refund or something to compensate you...this is just ridiculous....I would be wanting blood by now

  23. I have heard of this before on a friend who had a GTR...Apparently the height does make a difference to the CV's....but his was lowered a lot.....how low are we talkin ?...also...how is the ATTESSA transfer case ? AWD isnt sticking on or anything bizarre like that is it ?
  24. sure that new intercooler hasnt got leaks ?..or maybe split intercooler hoses while moving around changing them....
  25. well look on the bright side...now is a perfect time to do all those modifications to your car that would have had it off the road for some time...eg respray, engine out...those kind of mods...you can take your time about it ..no need to rush it so you can drive to work etc....
