Both good cars.Pulsar SSS really does haul ass too, only thing is they are front wheel drive...dont know if thats a problem for you or not. But the AE86 is the sprinter to have, You will find them for the cash you are talkin of spending, unfortunately there are also some highly modified ones there for sale that people are just asking ludicrous amounts of cash for..But 10K will get you a tidy one...Jump onto carsales.com.au now and have a look ...i just did..

mate for 10grand I reckon you will find a decent one for sure , more than likely one thats at least had the 100 kw engine conversion already..They do show up now and again, On the plus side I dont see these cars ever losing resale value-quite the opposite actually..I wish I shopped around for one instead of my daily Corolla.

Look great done up, Drop a 20 valve Blacktop in there and it will haul.They weigh under 1000 kg if I am correct. 20 valve Blacktop makes about 120 kw...so you got a pretty good power to weight ratio there. As for handling, those things are awesome handling little machines, Capable of embarrasing many a big dollar performance car through the corners....thats what I would be getting if I were in your shoes....only down side is that they are old and not near as fresh as the hondas your Talkin about

thats got me totally stuffed how it could possibly do anything. Its got one air pressure fitting in the side and the guage but the brass bit on the bottom looks like an air exhaust port..like a silencer...I dont understand how this gadget can supposedly go onto any car and make the differences it does....

Start off in The USA and buy a cheap Cadillac convertible, Then proceed to drive south into mexico...Spend some time touring there a bit and go sight seeing all the way through central America. Then from there start touring around South America seeing all to see.

If this new 8 has cylinder deactivation then thats an interesting thing...How many cylinders does it shut down ...? if it shuts down 4 you still got a 3.5 litre 4cylinder running.Still a sedan sized engine even then..but much better than the full eight.I never noticed my old skyline being bad on fuel. It was all relative to how I drove it. Highway kms it was great on fuel, City it did suffer a bit...I used to drive it to work...It used about the same as my old VN V6..on average anyway...Drive it hard and man it will drink, but cruise around and it was very good

sounds to me like you may have picked up a shit batch of fuel.It may have clogged your filter or even have stuffed the pump itself. I had a similar problem a few years ago with a VN that I had. Pulled the tank out and emptied it.So much water mixed in with the fuel.Other things too like grass,cigarette butts etc..

I had the exact same problem in my 32 when I first got it.it only did the noise in first gear. And if I dropped the boost down from 1 BAR down to .8 then it didnt do it as badly.After a year and a bit The Turbo eventually started getting the old waft of white cloud after sitting at the traffic lights so I had the turbo off and rebuilt along with all new hoses and a new dump pipe while I was at it. Never had the problem again after this.I never realised what sort of gain this all made to spool up.Fantastic!!.Just wish I changed the CAT converter as well...oh well

Well until somebody tests one nobody will have...Do you honestly think Nissan will have something out of the showroom thats tuned so lousy that it drinks more juice than a 7 litre V8 ? Technology all you want - at the end of the day those 7 litres of combustion chamber must gulp X amount of fuel and air just to run and drive.This is a massive engine we are talking about here

sounds like the turbo to me...happens in First gear because the turbo has to spool rapidly might be a bit of play in the turbo
