While I will never dispute the power/fuel economy benefits of thermo fan versus Belt drive. I personally prefer thermo myself...However if a little extra power is the only reason behind it all then I really think you are wasting your money....The amount of time you will spend pulling it all out and custom installing it and the shear cost factor of it all...I reckon you could have made heaps more power for the same amount of cash elsewhere...My understanding of the clutch fans was ( Please correct me if I am wrong ) that the clutch releases power when up to operating temp and only engages when it exceeds...So in on the road driving provided your not in a 40 degree scorcher whilst the car is in typical motion it really shouldnt drain much if any power at all...thought about a cooler thermostat ? cheap little thing that may help your power

wow I am really impressed by these T517Z's....Anybody else got any experience with them ? or maybe with the 518Z ? They seem to be a fair bit cheaper than equivalent HKS and yet perform every bit as good and maybe better..But last I heard was they dont come with water cooling...is this correct ? As a circuit/Street car oil coolers would then be even more critical...I am assuming

not only will it throw the black cloud but you may not realise that often you will throwing small fireballs out the exhaust also between gearshifts..Looks cool and all but definately a defect sticker

I do know there is always some shonky young dudes that hang around that area.I do go to Abbotsford a lot.Usually you can find them hanging around those shops/cafe near Coranto st. Sometimes you see these little trouble makers near the Primary school on Great North rd...They always look like they are up to no good...Sorry to hear dude...but speaking from a similar experience these are amatuers....they butchered the wiring

Ok I am gonna vote the supercharger for a few reasons.I have owned both at some stage...For overall power output the turbo wins hands down...However economy ...not so sure of...Yes the blower robs power however turbo cars drink juice in the sense that you get lag while building boost.My supercharged Commodore I modified would pull 9psi at idle if I floored it..So I only ever needed the smallest of throttle openings for a very short time to get it moving briskly..And once the foots off the blower was only recirculating air...But put the foot down and the bypass valve shuts and booom away it would go.Under maximum acceleration I would say the turbo would use less, but in the cut and thrust of normal driving...very hard to say...never right off supercharged cars, My one had throttle response as good or better than normally aspirated

sorry to slightly go off subject here guys.But I was considering installing a surround sound set up for my DVd player.And the part that frustrated me was that these packages always came with a DVD player.Now my dvd player is great and no need to replace it.So this was no good to me, And buying all the amp and speakers - cost the earth.....So how did I get out of it on the cheap ? I installed the Logitech surround sound for PC's to my dvd player...Its got subwoofer and 4 speakers plus a a centre speaker...Sounds incredible ! people are very surpriseed when they listen and i tell them the whole lot is under $100 ....highly recommended if you really havent got the coin to spend

be careful if you are degreasing with the gerni.I stuffed a belt tensioner pulley that way.Degreased the grease out and the bearings in it seazed squeeled a bit and snap..! one Belt left one the road on the way to work.Luckily it was only the Air con belt..

Look at the orange peel in bmw's these days ... yes I agree, I have had a look at quite a few and your right..! The paint quality is really that poor.Lexus etc are so much finer quality cars.

Yes I will give you the fact that Euro cars are prestige etc.However thats about it.I been behind the wheel of a few of them and honestly they are just ordinary cars that are ridiculously overpriced.Sure they may be a little quieter than most cars.And as far as build quality.they went down the toilet years ago.Ask anybody who ever works on one-They are just as big a shitheap as any falcadore.As far as I am told most of the mercs get their parts from Korea.I used to work in an unnamed company that had 50 Merc Sprinter vans...Every one of them blew gearboxes before hitting 100000 km..! ( $15000+ for the tiptronic auto )Then the diesel fuel injection systems started shitting themselves as well as computer glitches that wont allow it to go out of nuetral, doors that dont shut properly. I think VW is the best quality car in Germany right now...At least they are reliable

was it tuned with the screamer ? maybe piping the screamer into the exhaust may have changed the a/f ratios at the oxygen sensor ? or it may just be the fact that screamer pipes offer a massive horsepower gain over going traditional that you can now feel the loss
