  1. dude honestly I can see where your coming from right..But I really dont think its a good idea. Moving blowoff valves to other locations tends to make them louder as engine and intake can tend to muffle the air blowing sound a tiny bit. But by moving blow off valves under front bars and guards etc its gonna get real loud...Cops wont even waste there time looking for it. They will just defect it straight away, then you gotta go over the pits...not good...Last thing you need is unwanted attention
  2. I had a similar problem with a commodore I used to own years ago... I had some big dollars of subwoofers and amplifiers in the boot. How I fixed that problem was that i installed a acouple of U bolts in the chassis of the bootlid and also I installed a couple in the floor of the boot also..Then I ran the biggest Mother of a chain and padlock through it all so when you opened the boot you only had about 4 inches before it would stop..Still enough for me to reach in and unlock the padlocks if needed...but not enough for the huge boltcutters required if they figured it out..so maybe try buying the biggest baddest lengths of chain that money can buy and padlock them all together at night...I know its a bit of a nuisance but if you set it up right so the padlocks are way under the car..beleive me they will be in for a surprise...better than losing those nice rims
  3. put the cat in a blender for a few days to teach it a lesson...Cats only should be taken to vets in Commodores..It dont really matter if it pisses in those
  4. bit of an unfair comparison as the GTR was world class in its day. But these people who are assuming that GTR wouldnt last 6 hours...sorry but they did..not only that they also won the SPA 24 hr..I couldnt see v8s lasting that long with there shit rocker gear.Take todays skyline and modify it to the level of v8 supercar and it would wipe the floor with them. For how much cash is going into them they really are dissapointing. The top speeds they are pulling down straights are no faster than the old group A cars. Sure they are cornering faster but with that massive oversized wing kit its only rightfully so. Along with the fact that they run billet suspension arms much like an F1 car under those guards. As for Supercars being so restricted, Tyres are control only to lower cost..dont fool yourself into believing that other manufacturers tyres are far superior...they are not..!! Sure if they raised the rev limit they would make another 50-100 horsepower. but would they last....I doubt it!..No car was ever as resticted as the GTR was...It was carrying so much weight in ballast it actually raced 20 kg heavier than the street version. It was starting to crack brake rotors and wheels off memory. As I know for a fact they were also fitted with a boost limiting device( pop off valve or something ).This car could easily have ran 2 or more secs a lap faster..If you want to spend the money then speed comes with it..look at the Tsukuba lap battle events...Garage saurus has a very impressive R32...I dont think an all out supercar would touch that
  5. well after owned my GTS4 when I look for the GTR I would advise you to do as I do. Look for the most standard one available.I know its impossible, as they all at least got an exhaust fitted. The hassles I had when I had my GTS4 was that quite a lot was modified. Unfortunately most owners bought it modified and dont really know what was done to it. Which can be a bit of a pain when repairs need to happen. I knew I had a HKS turbo but the previous owner didnt know which model. It was only after having it rebuilt that I found out what it exactly was. For the amount of cash your willing to spend you should be able to get an immaculate one with low K's...Try Prestigemotorsport or a few other importers....As for servicing, learn to do oil changes yourself...save up cash for an oil filter relocation kit with oil cooler...It will make filter changes a breeze. They can be a little bit tough to change filters if ya got big beefy arms
  6. I would follow the other dudes advice and not get the loan. With skylines those things can become addictive. You know first its just a turbo timer, then its a boost controller, closely followed by whole exhaust, front mount bigger turbo and piggyback computer....meanwhile 5 or 6 grand has just been spent...it really is that addictive. Save the cash bear the pain as you will love the car more when it comes. Loans will only send you broke...Learn nice and early in life...That there is no shortcut to greatness. You will always pay the price somewhere
  7. go the vented GTR style carbon bonnet, GTR front bar and grill also.If you want to look like an R34 then buy an R34...
  8. i was told they retail at 1200 a set of 6
  9. well I would like to put in a good word for dynatorque in Arndell park in Sydney. The HKS turbo on my R32 GTS4 stated to develop that nasty smoke cloud at idle and the bearings screamed on rapid spool up. For a very good price they fully rebuilt it, and I also stuck a new dump pipe on also. Car drove like an absolute dream afterwards and even spooled up more rapidly. Just that sweet turbo whistle on high boost... No dreaded sounds...Very soon when I buy my GTR,if turbos need servicing I will be contacting them. They dont charge the earth like some shops do and unlike the myth that most people believe my turbo was roller bearing and they rebuild those no problems
  10. I am an R32 GTR fanatic and come feb next year am about to buy one. As I owned an R32 GTS4 for 2 yrs I have some idea of what to expect. Basically if all you wanted to do was go fast then you wouldnt buy an R32 GTR.You would only get it if you are a total GTR fanatic. Basically if you handed me the keys to a porsche or an R32 GTR , I would take the R32 GTR every time..Forget the numbers on the odometer...This is an old car, it has had a lifetime of flogging regardless of its condition.Maintenance in Japan is a gamble also.As my work/shopping everyday car is a corolla, The GTR will be the weekend playtoy. So if I have to rip the engine out then be it.Dont get me wrong..they are fantastic cars but wear and fatigue affects ANY car, and GTRs are not cheap to repair
  11. actually you are incorrect, the chase was in place when the GTRs raced. The chase went into conrod straight after 1986 when privateer mike bergman had a massive spin caused his VK Group A lifting off the track over all the bumps on conrod
  12. well to be honest the times the v8 supercars run now are dissapointing compared to years gone by.15 or more years later and they are only 5 secs a lap faster.Tyre improvements and track resurfacing over the years would have helped.Try taking all those ridiculous wings off the supercar and I believe it would be considerably slower around the mountain than the GTR.They are currently hitting 297kmh down conrod. Well dick Johnson was pulling those speeds way back in 1990.And it didnt corner as quick as supercars..So it would leave forest elbow at a slower speed than current cars but manage to reel them in by the chase.. There is only 1 king of touring cars Long live King GTR
  13. anybody tried prestige motorsport ?? they got a lot in Nissan and cheap too...also they seem to be one of very few importers that have an ABN and dealers licence number. you would be surprised just how many of these importers have no abn..Sorry but if i am gonna blow 15-20 grand on a car I want the security of dealing with somebody thats professional. I will be speaking to them very shortly about an R32 GTR...anybody got any feedback on them ?
  14. hey anybody got a car through J-spec ? as i am always on there web site and i gotta admit it there prices are really very good...having sold my R32 GTS-4 .. i wanna GTR..So far J-spec looks to be getting my business...
