Thanks Andrew, Any advise helps me at the moment! Such a big step and im so unsure... The only blocks left in this new Devine estate are the 300square meter ones. I can wait for the second release but then prices may jump up and I'll miss out on the First Home Owners Grant. The area is called Evanston Gardens, its pretty much Gawler. At the moment its surrounded by paddocks which is much better then being next door to Davoren Park or Smithfield like lots of the other Northern estates are. I dont really spend much time outside where I am now, my dog does... but I walk him every night so it shouldnt affect him.

I love the idea of having a new house but I dont know how I will cope being boxed in next to other houses... Then again i dont want to spend heaps of money doing repairs on an old house. The gardening doesnt worry me. I kinda want chickens and a vegie patch but that wont happen on a small block. The chicken and Vegie patch could be a phase.... Not have a double garage would suck... but in a new estate there shouldnt be bad crime... I have to give devine a yes or no by monday.

Thing is Devine homes do it all for you at a fixed price...

Hey people, I'm looking at buying or building a house and I need some opinions. Do you think its best to buy an older not so nice house on a 600-700square meter block Or... Build a house through Devine homes for the same amount of $ but have a 300Square meter block and have less room to move...but be in a brand new estate across from a creek/reserve

Does anyone know if Port Gawler is open anymore? I cant remember very well but didnt they have a rally/buggy track? Could be wrong....

I use that K&N cleaning and oil pack thing on my filter. Leave it off to dry overnight... Please people, make sure you cover your coils. They may have a cover/seals but coolant spraying over my engine managed to wet mine and make me drop cyls. Its worth the extra care.

I recon this weekend ill go for a drive around Gawler and have a look.

The underground carpark at Big W/Wollies in Gawler is a sweet spot, there would be heaps of nice spots in the barossa also.

Definatly cover the coil packs good. Coolant just spraying over my engine caused one of mine to die and make my car run on 5cyls. I lived on a dirt road for a year so imagine under my bonnet. I'm paranoid about cleaning it now.

The 34 I looked at a while ago in a car yard ended up changing the steering wheel because I said there is NO WAY that gear stick and steering wheel have only done 64,000kms. Kind wish i didnt say anything now. Sales scumbags. I purchased mine at 64,000kms and it looked immaculate. Had it for around 2 years now and Im up to 109,000kms. Still looks the same.

I could list a bunch of names of AMAZING metal/hardcore bands but many would not know them. Although most should at least heard of Parkway Drive....
