im a mix kid and i never got this spoilt... i dunno seems to be a modern thing to spoil the crap out of the kids and not really worry about yourself as an adult... which really im fine with as i cant stand xmas myself.

Got 800 cash monies from the parents, hellova lot of chocolates, a silver chain, some shoes a DVD and thats about it this year... My son got bloody spoilt tho... he should open up his own toy shop, we had to make 2 trips to get his stuff home from my sisters. One of the things my mum got him was this awesome electric ride on motorbike which is absolutely massive, it barely fit in my wagon and is slightly too big for him at the moment. Pretty sure i got a set of building blocks when i was his age... wheres the love!

might check the one in EHills on the way to work tonight since its nearish my house. theres one on the hil just up from me that you can see from heatherton road at night. me and my wife used to go and check out the ones in Dingley Village in that estate area just after where the 711 is... used to have some great displays there. My favourite was a house with scrooge written in fairy lights and a single light bulb hanging below it i remember a few years back when i lived in dingley i posted on here some photos of the houses in that area and some of the other streets in dingley and there was this one crazy one with a full on smurf village xmas setup... had xmas music with smurfs singing in the background too... looked awesome.

i was actually quilty of a hit run not long ago... was in a car park next to a Suzuki Swift and pulled out... went home... wasnt til about 2 days later when i went to wash it i saw a scrape mark on the front bar and seeing as that was the last time i took the car out it was obvious i must have clipped the rear bar... obviously wasnt hard as neither me or the wife noticed when it happened but there was paint transfer so probably just a scrape on the other car too... havent seen that car again around the shopping center so havent been able to leave a note feel so bad about it.

meh ive found that using the 360 as a media centre is far better and easier... like you said, blueray players for PCs are under 200 now. My 360 is hooked up to a media box i made out of an old PC which is connected to my home LAN, rather then relying on an inbuilt HDD. Graphics detail is minimal to say the least at the moment, by the time its capabilities are fully utilized they will be on to the next gens. Plus paying for online play far outweighs the cost of actually buying games. As for FPS on consoles, i thought you can use a keyboard and mouse on a PS3? Whereas for 360 owners you have to buy a XFPS Sniper? When GT5 is released i will buy a PS3 as i did with the PS2 and release of GT3. Hopefully by then someone would have worked out how to hack them... altho i dont mind buying it just to play GT5

if you can make sure it was made before March 08... cheaper to have it moded (firmware upgraded). Otherwise will cost upto $150 (vs $50 for the flash) to mod cause they need to remove the newer liteon drives and replace with something like the samsung MS28.

Worth it... my sisters one died in the arse after a month and they sent a courier to pick it up and drop off a new one at the same time.... by new i mean refurbished. She ended up hardly using it anymore now, instead you know what she got? My old PS2 with a bunch of HDDs i had with heaps of games on it... why... cause sing star on the PS3 was shite apparently lol

well duh... the title alone says "fanboy callout" I have no brand loyalty... in fact i was a PS fanboy and nintendo fanboy and vowed to never ever own a XBOX... however after weighing it up i chose to get a 360... well the fact it was free helped but even then. its basically a repeat fo PS2 vs XBOX the only difference is that the roles have been reversed and MS got their console out a good year before sony and sony are now struggling to claw back because despite having on paper the best console its just come into the game too late the same as MS did with the XBOX when the PS2 was already fundamentally established regardless of the "inferior" tech.

if u search enough using google its not hard to find... mines setup to play all ROMs... except for MAME, which sucks cause thats holy grail of roms, but they run on PC so it doesnt really matter

Easy... XBOX360... Free games, PS3 free online... which would you prefer? personally i dont have that much time to waste playing online games anymore (used to play counter strike for 10 hours a day and still went to work back in the day) so the simple answer for me is... 360 = free games. they both have their merrits... i'll get a PS3 at some point seeing as i have the wii and 360 but theres nothing really compelling about it that makes me want it right now that the 360 doesnt already provide. oh and i much prefer the interface for using the 360 as a media center... its hooked up to my file server where i can access any movie, MP3, picture or whatever.

Dragon Boat in Knox is fantastic... had the Wagyu Beef with their homemade Wasabi sauce... omg i almost orgasmed. Although it should technically give me one seeing as it was $45 for 250g. Still, even the appetisers were awesome...
