  1. not sure mate... 3-5 would probably cover the engine swap... as for a brake conversion... you would need to source them too.. probably about 600-1000 id say depending on how much u get them for... gearbox once again not sure if the std one would be able to handle it... mine has an RB25DET gearbox i think... how the connect em up is far beyond me. probably best to speak to a well known performance garage in Sydney that works with a lot of skylines. best to do a search in the performance section and the NSW section and see what u come up with
  2. ok got the costs of the molds etc from steve and this is how it looks. Front Bar = $600AUD Shipping= $80 appx Mold = $500AUD Copies = $350 also have to work in cost of shipping to whatever state ur in. SO... to make it viable u would need at least 4 people... that would work out to $588 PER front bar only.... 5 would make it 540... 6 would make it 508.33 So it isnt going to be that cheap... unless you can find more than 4 people to put money in (btw this isnt making anyone money... this is purely how much it will cost)
  3. those of u who may actually follow or have seen the D1NZ comps will know this car (NZ is quite a way in front of australia when it comes to Dori) its $700NZD for the bar alone... i wouldnt mind getting my hands on one to put on when im drifting or on a track. 700NZD is about 600AUD...
  4. u got a thong justin? we need to cater to the gay community too... ash needs some eye candy as well. on a lighter... less disgusting note.. do u have girls lined up or still need more?
  5. btw 1200NZD is just over a grand AUD...
  6. hmmmm they want 1200 for the kit... i think it might be easier to do this... Buy the front bar and ship that from NZ to Aus... Copy my skirts and rear bar... and use them instead... will look better anyway as those skits in the pic are pretty small.... unless u like that
  7. id say the killer on a kit will be the shipping... HOWEVER if enough people want them it may prov better to ship one over.... make a mould and have a number of them made up from the mold and split it btween the number people involved. I'll get the costs and work it out.
  8. in discussion now with someone who knows the guy who makes em
  9. hehe could be an idea... a sub division of SAU VIC im on the NZ forums now trying to track one of these kits down for u... hopefully will have some more information by this afternoon
  10. all this stuff im missing out on
  11. oooooooh ok i see what ya talkin bout UK? u leavin us for the cold windy warm beer land?? isnt it cold enough in melbourne for u?
  12. im lucky mine already came with those tail lights you best bet mate is to check on yahoo auctions for em.
  13. hmmmmm i think people are getting the wrong idea as to what im talking about. A rally permit doesnt require a Rally imported car. It has nothing to do with how the car comes into the country. A Rally Permit is only a UVP thats a year long and is used for getting cars to and from events. If you brought a car thats already been registered in Victoria thats worked off its tits and you wanted to use it as a track car, rather tha having to get it all engineered or try and get it thru RWC you could get a Rally Permit from VIC Roads for it to enable you to be able to drive it to and from a track. My cars already been imported as a 15year old car. All that is required for a Permit (or REGO) of this type is: -CAMS licence -Log book (CAMS) -Completed application form -Scrutineers cert or RWC (as i would need to comply my car an RWC is out) The cost is $100 more than normal rego.
  14. thats a good one steve... will check that out too and confirm but those ones that cant be registered after is because they were not eligible for import into the country under normal circumstances whereas mine was. will definately check it out thjo
  15. its baaaaaaaaaaaack trying to keep it going
  16. mmmmmm i like that front bar! would look nice with the URAS sides and rear bar.
  17. you guys have been in the game and more involved in it than me so i value ur input... dont worry i wont be counting on this to be the only way to get my car in use... i was just looking into it as it seems to be a more viable idea seeing as i only want to use this for events and so on. fingers crossed the guy i spoke to wasnt blowing smoke out his arse... but it does seem a little too good to be true.
  18. lol well lets not go into any more detail about that one
  19. yeah of course. nothings definate so dont go getting his hopes up just yet
  20. 13psi is fine... no more.... just make sure its tuned on a dyno so u know its DEFINATELY 13psi its running. CAI box is always a good idea too and can be done quite cheaply using that clarke rubber heat resistant foam stuff.... doesnt look as pretty as those nice carbon boxes but does just as good a job.... dont need a top cause it creates a seal against the underside of ur bonnet.
  21. LMAO wtf???????/ CAMARO??????????/
  22. probably 3-5k on top of the half cut costs...
  23. btw i didnt say it had anything to do with my car being 15yo... what i am saying is that i dont have to get it completely complied ie. child restraints etc. "as long as its safe"
  24. according to the vic roads "specialist" (took 3 people til i got someone who knew what i was on about... they all thought i wanted to do WRC or something stupid) you only need a licence from CAMS. "so the L2S licence is fine?" "yes any CAMS licence" its nothing to do with CAMS other than having to get a log book from them and keeping that in the car... each event has to be authorised or qualified by the CAMS club... ie an official CAMS covered event. Its all on the web site... ive been looking at it for the past 2 weeks and also clarified with him the wording on the site about "international OR a HIGH level competition licence". Im actually going to go down there and speak to someone in person just incase.
