see i thought that was near non existant these days... not many people i know get to carry over there sick leave... some carry over there annual but not all too... we dont... we either use it or get paid out for it at the end of the year. i dont mind using it... it basically means im off 20 weeks out of the year which is fine with me. but 2000 hours sick leave!! lol thats insane... my mum had something similar when she worked for the govt in NZ... her annual leave pay out after 20 something years alone was over 150k... then she had sick leave and her long service. couldnt imagine something like that... i like taking sickies too much

im lucky enough to get 5 week annual and 10 days sick leave as well as our RDOs... or RWO

nope... we work the weekend of the last week in 2 12 hour shifts and thats paid at double time to make up for it. well thats how it works out... im basically paid a wage and overtime is based on the wage divided by months then diveded by hours worked in that month and that base rate is used to calculate the OT which is double time no matter what day or hour we work it.
