  1. Those white ones are pretty much exactly what we have here... infact i think it is the same cable... then we have 2 DVI cables running to the screen
  2. LCD monitors and LCD TVs are very different... ie. if you get a DiVX player and play a DiVX on your LCD TV and then your PC, you will notice the difference, especially if your using the Component cables rather then Composite. I can view my LCD from vast angles without it affecting my view... LCD monitors are designed to be viewed from directly in front as thats generally where your sitting in front of a PC. Oh, and best advice you can ever get, DONT listen to salesmen... especially the ones from Harvey Norman or any watered down "Home Theatre experts"... generally the only Sales People that do have a clue are the ones at specialised HT stores
  3. looks the goods... so will they be releasing a Toyota version? IE. that looks a lot like the next Supra should and they always bring out the Toyota versions which are normally better
  4. i know the one ur talking about... EVO style bonnet etc... looks pimp
  5. So? youd only be replacing the top half... not that i know how it works... but i cant see the issue
  6. yeah they can be...
  7. AB - why would maintenance be an issue and parts? Just cause theyre not common doesnt mean it would be hard to get shit for it... have a read on some of the mitsi forums im sure u will find a lot of parts can be pilfered from EVOs and GSRs for it
  8. id say with some tools... u know... engine crane, spanners... sockets... screw drivers... that sort of thing.
  9. or the same forum will try and find the name of the cable from our techies at work that put the pcs together.
  10. Personally i think the stageas look too dull... theres the odd one that pops up every now and then thats not bad with a decent kit and wheels... Not just that but ive seen a few stags around... i havent seen any of these... yet. Stag is still on my list too but the features in the Super VR4 and the price far out weigh the downsides vs a stag there are downsides to all cars mate... just pick the one U want
  11. i was under the impression the only way to do so as a wreck was to cut it in half.
  12. Dual screens arent just wank factor theyre pretty handy... we use dual 19s at work... at home i only have a single 22inch WS which is good enough for me. Until i build my next machine i wont bother with another. As for your question... we use a DVI-DVI, DVI splitter cable here at work (ie. Single DVI output splits into twin DVI)... i have no idea where they got them from but i would say they wouldnt be too hard to track down. Check with stores like MSY or Scorptek etc.
  13. as mentioned there is a lot of misinformation in this thread... most of this bs about blacks not being black enough and plasmas burning in on the screen was old tech from about 5 years ago. You will find that most of the issues and differences between the 2 have been resolved or improved to the point where it comes down to personal preference. Even that link provided with the CNET article is a lot older then the date given leads you to believe... i read that over a year ago and once again a lot of stuff has changed. LCD uses less power... Plasma screens are generally somewhat heavier the LCDs... LCDs also have a higher native resolution then Plasmas... but to the point where it isnt really noticable. You tend to hear a lot of mention of LCDs being blury when it comes to action shots etc... once again this was mainly with the older and or cheaper LCDs. LCDs are susceptable to "dead pixels" which Plasmas are not. Obviously Plasmas are available in a larger size range however they will all pail in signifigance once Laser TV is released... providing it is still under development. Also dont fall into the trap of "this TV uses the same LCD screen as the "enter name brand" TV which sells for 3x more". Its not the screen which makes it perform its the electronics behind it... its been the same rule for decades.
  14. These are on my list of cars which i will be importing next... preferably the Super VR4 though which were limited in number... 800 i believe. They came with Recaro interior and a nice bodykit etc... not sure on what else... sure a quick google will tell all. Always loved the look of these since i was in NZ last and saw them everywhere... theres a few nicely moded ones over there and theyre pretty common family cars.
  15. So this is a 4WD 4 door? so the power figure was at all 4 wheels?
  16. AWESOME! Your sponsored by "The error returned was: Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken. " lol
  17. 1. Fun car Merc SLR 722 (they gettable to this country?) 2. Classic Beast Eleanor, 67 Shelby GT500 Mustang 3. Economical Daily Hamann BMW M6
  18. Well you could try finding a product like this (should be able to find something similar to it locally... look around a bit) http://www.cablesnmor.com/index.asp?PageAc...&ProdID=808 or i just found out on that site that you can get VGA to RCA cables... but i dont know if you would need anything special in the way of software... i highly doubt it. Maybe try Dick Smiths or Tandys and see if they have em...
  19. thats looking 10x hotter then it used to, for starters... its all one colour... all be it primer putty grey and dam straight he can throw it around... been for a ride with him before... makes it look easy. Mind you that was a long time ago so i guess you've emproved a hell of a lot since then Alex?
  20. thats often a place where i see a lot of illegal drags... i used to come home that way some nights and see lots of idiots dragging down there and u can get upto a hell of a lot faster then 200kmh there (no i dont know personally but it is a long stretch of road)
  21. pepsi ftw!
  22. ummmm... what kind of TV do you have? You wont be able to run it through RCAs unless your video card, as mentioned, has S-Video, and no it doesnt look like RCA plugs. If your Video Card in your PC doesnt have SVideo it will have one of two plugs... DVI (WHITE) or standard VGA (BLUE) output plugs... altho usually if it has DVI it will have SVideo (its a round black plug) S-Video DVI (will look like one of these) VGA If it only has SVid and VGA you only have 2 options... 1 requires your TV to have a VGA port 2 is you get an SVideo to RCA cable Generally these come with the vid cards if they have an SVideo output but if it doesnt any Dick Smiths and a like should have em. So that solves connecting it... your video card should have an option to switch between or use an alternative to the standard VGA which most monitors plug into. You'll need to switch it over using these options... usually if you right click in your desktop and go to properties and then settings and Advanced it will bring up your cards settings. If its an ATi card its generally under the Displays tab... im not near my home PC which has a Nvidia card but its generally the same or similar. Here you can switch between TV or Monitor etc
  23. Bloody hell... we've been over taken. Bloody hoodlums!
  24. Well i guess i could go with bragging rights then lol But like i said... with something like that built how hard would it be to make minor upgrades to keep up? where as i havent upgraded my current PC for about 3 years and EVERYTHING needs to be binned (well... used as a server i spose). So rather then having something mid range constantly i could spend probably the same amount on it to keep it kicking arse... well maybe spending a little more... but its hardly going to break the bank
  25. Probably best not to until someone who knows what theyre doing says something lol But i wouldnt leave it without a hose connected to it... run the hose through a hole in the engine bay somewhere or down out of the way. And make sure you have the T peice the right way... ie. arrow towards the actuator... not towards the Turbo and the bottom part (red part of the T) runs to the controller (which until you get it turned on a dyno should really be completely closed)
