What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
MOUTH replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Awesome.......I wouldn't bother with a second hand rocker as mostly likely would have/will warp.....I am getting a few quotes on rockers covers now..... but this is money I would rather be spending on suspension or exhaust or on my race car...... Will report back with quotes -

Now just talking to the guys that did the warranty work. They did the outer rocker seal and the inner isn't serviceable (around the spark plug tubes) and you need to buy a new rocker cover or sealant the shiz out of it and cross your fingers? I take it they warp?, anyone had this problem before? Someone has had a go at the sealant already (as one of coils also had sealant on it)..... -

I service my car but haven't done the plugs until now.....I am a qualified mechanic, but when the car was in warranty period (3 months) I got rocker cover/ srs light/ swaybar links/ disc machine blaa blaa done, As I figure I am paying all this money, I am not working on my daily when I don't have to..... Also when I got it onto the hoist i have noticed I have a couple of very bald (camber) rear tyres and most of my bushes in the front need replacing, so at last I have a reason for changing wheels and tyres instead of the chrome gayness. Will also be needing bushes ASAP -

Serviced the car last night, oil (trying ULX110), filter, replaced belts, air filter and spark plugs (NGK)...... My car had a slight miss under big load and my economy was pretty average (6/7km per litre) One of my coils was covered in oil (the side that I had my rocker cover gasket changed under warranty) .......needless to say I was pretty impressed. Also I had 3 different kinds of plugs in the car NGK Denso and some wierd jap one WTF, all finger tight (washers on bottom of plugs werent even crushed) -

Yeah It was a bitch to get out, they do them up farking tight from the factory..... I haven't snapped an easy out since I was an aprentice , so I was pretty annoyed at the time...... I made sure the second hand strut came with the bolt though. -
What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
MOUTH replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
The other day i had my tailgate open at the super market, closed the tailgate and there was a loud bang. Then tried to open the tailgate and it was really heavy......The strut had SNAPPED on the ram and snapped the bolt in the thread on the roof side So I sourced a new strut (second hand), drilled out the old bolt...sort of, snapped an ezy out trying to get it out then had to drill/dremel and heli-coil.....C#*T.......but at least now its all sweet again though. Adjusted tail gate glass as it was sitting out from the rubber seal 5mm. And installed another screen that I scored for free from a mate (sound doesn't work out of it) installed new pure sine inverter in the back of the car and a ps3 in the tray above my spare wheel, just velcroed to a chunk of rubber then to the tray....... Just need to work out how to hook up the ariel to the "play tv" unit for digital tv through the ps3 -

-
Yup I need that tray above the spare wheel also
-
More off topic Sorry I thought that the enclosure would petrude past the original trim on the side??? Also ryan are you talking about the little tray on the side? not the big spare wheel well one yeah? I should have had a look at petes on sunday
-
done.....I emailed that pic of your car, will email my phone number aswell..... I'd say it would have to be on the drivers side as the tv tuner etc is on the passenger side, and it would be a lot easier on the right (then you wouldn't have to relocate the tuner etc)

edit: actually all the atessa pump resivoir etc is on the right side......

Keen for a mould for an m35, I have the sub/amp and the trim to do it .......How about the 11th, 17th or the 18th......keen
