hey, im looking at buying a new afm, so..yeah pretty much...what should i get? ive bein hearing the 300zx afm is the best or most comman upgrade..can some explain y? y not a gtr afm? or do they use the same ones?? anyway, i found some z32 afm ebay for like $180 to $300bucks, new & used, they vary..just gota look.. and stores around my area want like around 450-600 for a new z32 afm.. so wat u think? and would a second-hand z32 afm? be beta than my stock r33 s2 afm?

hey, the other day i notice my inter. light stayed on while driving, i check wen i stoped an all doors, boot, bonnet wer close... wat the hell? i tht i was the passenger side door close/open sensor thingo, so i un-screwed it, and yeah it was still connected and looked fine.. any ideas wer to start?

hey, i had the same problem with my r33 s2, after i just got my apexi neo afc fitted, 2 days after it did the same thing as u described!!! i had to reset the afc to drive..and it was fine.. went to the tuners 2 days later, found out my 02 sensor was dying, or dead already..lol needed a new one..and has bein fine ever since... so try disconnecting the 02 sensor.. and c if it makes a difference.. but i think my afm is on its way out having trouble starting wen cold..bein cold latly for the last 2 days, and my car struggles only wen very cold..i think either to do wit my afm, or im to lean for idle..lol but i cleaned my acc valve the other week..look lik brand new inside..and idle has bein really really good.. i cleaned my afm, wit electical contact cleaner,looks cleaner and i cleaned my acc valve wit carby cleaner..and keep on wiping in it! takes a while..but makes a hell of a diff.!! so try doing these, and check ur o2 sensor too...

hey check this out.. the stock ecu is good just needs to be tuned rit.. ive read many articles of people using the stock ecu upto 300rwhp.. here check this link out and read wat it says about the stock ecu.. http://speedworks.com.au/products/bikirom/bikimain.html so he shouldnt hav a problem here...

yeah, could be anything but looks lik afm, injectors, or ecu needs a good tune! can u take it to another tuning place??? oh, check ur o2 sensor, i found on my second tune that mine died, so i replaced it myslef.. cost me $120 for a new gen. o2 sensor.. have u evan got a afc??? that would be the first piggyback system to get.. or evan an e-manage piggy unit..

hey wat afc u got??? i thought of boughtin a power fc..but im not botherd either..i dont want to replace the stock ecu either..coz i only got a gtst..i got 243rwhp..so in kw's, dats lik 180.. so it cant b ur ecu.. my mods include.. 3a racing pod,turbotech bleed valve @ 10psi, replica rs bov, front mount, splitfire coilpacks, re-gapped plugs to .65mm, HKS super drager cat-back exhaust, KYB damper adjustables coil-overs, apexi neo afc + tuned.. so yeah..i played around wit my afc alot..and im on my second tune already..lol was using abit of fuel..so i lean out some settings..lik only to 0..lik i had some hi-throttle setting on +12 ??dont no y..so yeah.. and i run lik mid 13's to 14 flat.. plus i heard the stock nissan computer is really good!! so i dont no.. dont think it would be ur ecu.. plus u got a upgrade turbo.. ur car probl. needs a beta tune? or u gota problem somewer?

hey, i was wondering if r33 had like a heat sensor..and then enables a cut-off.. which sometimes stall the car wen slowing down..etc.. anyone heard of somethin lik this?

hey i was at the drags wit my mates yesterday wen i nptice my clutch was stuck, lik all the way in! it didnt come out!...lol i dropped it from 3 - 3.5grand..all good..went to put it in second and notice my clutch was in still.. u could smell the clutch after..lol..real bad! but i can drive fine..and doesnt engage randomly..or anything..nothin un-usual.. anyone ever had this problem before?? i believe i still have the stock clutch, and i got 243rwhp..woops!..lol..so it cant take the power or is it somethin else? clutch master/slave cyl? any ideas ??plus after i drive for a while..like good driving..i still smell lik a burning clutch smell.. im gona get a new clutch, but i just wana make sure nothin else could b going wrong..

R33 New Bov Driving Problems

found out it was my apexi neo..tuned wrong?? wrong settings?? after 2days my car sensor decided to go on..lol like the knock sensor??i think it prevent my engine for blowing-up..thank god.. so i had to reset the afc to drive.. i got it re-tuned by a diff. tuning place.. found out my o2 sensor was faulty, and i needed a new one got a new one, runs beta no more stalling.. but did use a bit of fuel.. they used diff. air map settings... so i changed some of the settings.. now runs like my first tune but evan beta.. NO more stalling and fells really good.. any good aftermarket senor computers?? apart from a power fc...like piggy-back sensors computers or something lik that.. -
so.. i took ma car to speedworks in perth, they re-tuned ma afc.. it was oxygen sensor that was playin up!! so they dis-connected it..and did the tune wit out it doesnt stall at all anymore! and drives beta!!! just still uses a bit of fuel.. thank god i work for nissan, and ive already got and put in the new o2 sensor.. but my 33 still chug's fuel.. speedwork had a hell different air map settings than ovaboost.. so i wondering, whould tuning an afc with the o2 sensor connected they re-connecting a new, make any difference? or would u need a re-tune..???

hey i just had a problem wit my '96 r33.. i just got my new afc, a apexi neo afc.. wen for two days seemed fine.. den all of a sec.. boom! could rev past past 2000rpm... found out it was my afc..i reset it and i could drive..lol so now it running lik crap..im gona take it a different tuner 2mrw..not the same place!!!!..lol but for now, has anyone got details on der afc AIR Map..like settings wise.. wat have u set ur HI-THROTTLE & LOW-THROTTLE air map settings at.. 500rpm,1000rpm,1500rpm,2000rpm...8000rpm etc.. any info would help! i no all cars a different, diff boost settings, diff mods..etc..but any details would help, not just me but anyone wit the same problem..or similar problems..

Yeah, wen i put my foot done it didnt pass 2 to 2.5k as i mention earlier.. it struggled for some reason.. but i did find my problem.. something 2 do with my apexi afc/neo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i reset it and it drove fine.. well....it uses more fuel now..lol so i adjusted the air-map myself just on low throttle. and seems to be if not better than before! the first place i got my tune done, and the at the same time got my apexi NEO fitted.. they didnt change/adjust the DEC AIR or the THROTTLE %.. so i really just changed those.. and my low-throttle from 1,2,,4,5,6,7 and i curved the map.. at 3000rpm i left it 0%(so no changes) coz that wen boost kicks in..well round der..lol and i dont want to lean it out der. so i gota get a re-tune and coz it using a bit of fuel.. but has anyone got AIR MAP details? im gona start-up another topic to c wat people setting ther afc air map set at...

sorry, cant remember, it was early dis morin wen it happin..and i didnt have time to have a good look.. i tried turning down the valve to make it harder..but no good.. mit turn it all the way down.. but as for driving im pretty sure i was and had my foot down lik a normal driver, dont think my foot-slip or i was back-off or anythin.. i was just driving...lol

yeah, it happen wen i accelerate, and was only in first, and yeah, hit just over 2000rpm and yeah..started hoping! i think i put it in second and it did it aswell round the same rpm.. now wat u mean by.. "bad like a leaner driver" well my plugs + coilpacks r fine and its similar to misfire..but feel liks no fuel.. fuel pump? afm? i have no clue ay..

ah ok..thanks dis after noon, after work, ill tightin the new bov,(to a hard setting) and c if that makes any dif.. plus i'll look for vac. leaks.. thanks

a leak u reckon? best way to find a leak then???? wat bot: on the back of the bov's there a vac. line that connects to the intake manifold, should this pipe be a certain min/max diameter, length? if so how long and thick? would that make diff?

but how can this be? it was driving fine..and then yeah it screws up! so a leak??? wat bout if u connect the plumb-back on the valve..lik stock..??

i just got a tune a day before i put the new bov in.. and driving style?wat u mean? lik change gears before 2000rpm?

hey i just bought replica rs bov, for my '96 r33 skyline, and i put it in last nit at my mates, we drilled new holes onto the stock cross over piping, exactly wer the stock bov goes, and mounted it there with know problems and no leaks! took for a few runs, adjust the hardness & softness of the new bov.. got it about rit.. so i drove home fine! the only thing that i noticed was that wen down gear and clutch was all the way in, and i didnt release it, the revs would drop from 1500rpms to bout 100rpms, but didnt stall, and den went back up to normal idle revs, lik 500-600rpms... PROBLEM: so i got in my car dis morin, drove to my other mates place, who lives bout 2ks away, and was all fine! then wen i left i got to bout 2000rpm, and it felt like it was bunny hopping! or sumthing?? MY MODS: i just got a new (afc)apexi neo fitted and tuned,(at 500rpm/1000rpm my correction is -8%. etc..) front mount intecooler, splitfire coilpacks, re-gapped .6mm spark-plugs, turbo-tech boost controller/bleed valve, HKS 3" cat-back exhaust.
