  1. Does anyone know a mechanic in Syd that knows how to fix the rear axle click? i mean it's no biggy, but would like to get rid of the annoying click sound everything i change gear...
  2. The "doo doo doo...." v8 like rumble i get when i put my foot down in 2nd gear... sound of a v8, fuel economy of a v6..
  3. like i said the marks r probably caused by acid rain, which has "dissolved" a really really thin surface layer of the glass... the only way I heard to remove this is using a steel wool to lightly polish the glass, so u can "even" out the layers. Again, i've never seen this done in real life, and personally I dont think steel wool + glass is a good combination.
  4. i think those marks are caused by acid rain in japan, which is common there... i've heard that ppl use steel wool to slightly rub on it to clean it off... but i wouldnt try it...
  5. Hey mate, u dont happen to live in South Hurstville do u? west st? if so, i live just around the corner of u, u can take mine for a spin see if there's any diff to your.
  6. V36 is the 370GT... there is no V36 G35s.... sat in the 370GT, it was going for about 60k in sydney, prob one of the first 370GT been complianced. but it's definitely twice the car of 350GT, interior, engine, everything is a lot better. but for 60k... its a bit steep, considering half the stuff in the car wont work as with 350GT...
  7. pic of the knob?
  8. weird wat suburb r u in? Im 23, rating 2 full comp agreed value of 40k, only paying $1100 with justcar... live in blakehurst..
  9. just wondering wat makes the track version lower grade? yes, better sound system, but the stock ones r clarion, which i think is half decent for a stock system. plus even the premium leather pack it's only leather trim, not full leather. due to the quality of the leather (nissan or any japanese car isn't known for using good leather), driver side thigh trim wrinkles n cracks overtime...
  10. really depend on how u drive it really. If its ur daily drive, and commute in heavy traffic, i think you would go for the auto. of course manual is a lot more fun plus it has about 10~20hp over auto, so its a little quicker. and of course u get the brembos with manual.
  11. I'm guessing the volume switch on the steering wheel...
  12. Does anyone know if MOMO Steering wheel is a factory option on the V35? I have no seen a single one that has this option in Australia, yet mine looked pretty stock with Nissan badge and airbag...
  13. Thanks for the detailed explanation . I dont know too much about the GTIs, but i know that s2000 is only quick if u can constantly keep it in vtec, which is @ 6000rpm, can be difficult to do when u going in and out of corners, unless of course the drive has a vtec controller and lowered the rev range...
  14. hey scathing, wat ECU are you using? is it a retuned factory ECU or an aftermarket one? I'm a bit surprised that a GTI and S2000 if faster than our V35... I came off a s2000 to V35, s2000 isnt a easy car to drive, it has no lower rev range power/torque at all. The torque that the V35 produces should make up for the weight difference...
  15. Same reason why u didn't want them i guess, plus urs is the same price as new... i doubt anyone would want a "2nd hand" one to the same price.
  16. From memory 350z base model started from $65k new, and the 350GT would've been around $38-40k? correct me if im wrong... btw, the Z price would've been australian, and GT is Japanese price...
  17. which city? tried to get into city (sydney) yesterday, about half the roads and bridge is blocked due to WYD ....
  18. to me the interior, dash lighting and seat design is on par with mercs... certainly a lot better than bmws , feels much more european than japanese... i didnt get a change to drive it as it's unregistered, sat in it for a while and loved it... the silver line on the boot lead isnt a spoiler, u can either repair it to the body colour or use an aftermarket spoiler to cover it, certainly a lot better than the "pimple" camera on the V35s. only if it was cheaper...
  19. no idea on the compliance cost, but these guys do imports n compliance themselves... I dont know how similar V35 and V36's engine is, r the parts interchangable? as for the cost... i dont think i'll spend $60k on a car with no warranty, aftermarket support or parts readily available. plus the big big downside is, the main feature: the car's computer console is all in jap... so its pretty much useless as the one on V35s.
  20. There's a V36 already sitting in the IMG's garage in Auburn, getting complianced, will be ready by xmas. To be honest, it's twice the car that V35 is, a lot more powerful engine, updated interior: more functional and ergonomical. but asking price is ~$60k... Probably won't spend that much on an import that has no warranty no after sales support, and most importantly half the stuff in the car is in jap, probably won't work here in Australia.
  21. Hood included? if so then thats a bargain... if u r gettin one please let me know, im interested, may be we can split the shipping cost or something...
  22. cheers Frank, just got myself a pair
  23. Hey Warren, have u got a quote for insurance yet? just wondering how much the premium will jump with mods like this...
  24. that was a typo... i mean 25...
