Hey guys,
been driving my 03 350GT 6MT for almost 5mths now. but have u guys noticed that when u thrash the car a bit u actually get better fuel consumption ... Normally when I drive, I'd shift at 2.7k~3.2k rpm, and in suburban condition i would get 7.6km/L or roughly 13L/100km. But when I shift at much higher revs at around 4.5krpm I would normally get much better fuel economy, averaging 8.6km/L (11L/100km) under the same driving conditions...
Does it happen to u guys? and wats the optimum shifting point... I used to drive a s2000, so shifting at 4k ~ 4.5k rpm is normal, my mate kept on telling me thats the 350gt is a v6, so I should shift under 2.5k rpm. I also noticed that when i shift at higher rev, the gear is alot smoother to get into.
