  1. What annoys me is when customers at my work walk up and I ask what bowser (I work at Shell next to Epic) and they blink, turn their head to the forecourt and say while pointing at the TicTac stand "The car over then..." and then proceed to swipe their credit card and wonder why the machine isnt reading it... Apart from that tailgaters, Area Managers and alarm clocks...
  2. Aww %^$& it... I was looking forward to getting my GTR ready for that. :'(
  3. Spotted that guy who I sold fuel to at Shell next to EPIC. Hope you liked your 20c/litre discount
  4. Hey I forgot the place and who he is but give this guy a call as I'm going to get my GTR engineered with him. Apparently he recommended on SAU... 62363009. Also from what I've seen the average price for a eng. cert is about $400 but it depends on what u need to get done. Also make sure you get every little thing done while you are there (even if it is just tower struts) as we all know what the pit people and RTA are like... Cheers
  5. Saw a Silver R32 GTR at Shell next to epic. I also sometimes see a R34 GTR V-spec II, but the owner either brings that or his 350Z or Corvette or one of his many cars O.O
  6. I'm guessing the mods can delete this now
  7. I would, if my skyline was registered. Silly pit people, they didnt even know what a QLD compliance plate looks like ><
  8. Spotted Maroon R33 turning off Limestone Ave and Orange r33 in Dickson carpart behind Dominos(well sorta to the left).
  9. There should also be a rego check system in place at fuel stations (no fuel means no drive). I work at one and asked my Area manager about it and he said they tried and there was complications. As far as I'm conserned 'complications' indicate it will cost them too much. Just letting everyone know, fuel stations can write off drive-offs under insurance and tax, so they dont actually lose money so its cheaper for them not to care. But bringing to the point, the kids who do steal them who are too young to even have a licence probably dont even have a cent on them, so the police wont bother with it as there is no money to be made, and they just release them so they can do it again. I'll keep an eye out for it. If only we could get blowfish poision for our steering wheels...
  10. Spotted White r33 and White r32 GTR. Both at Shell near epic as that is where I work
  11. Thanks for the advice Bullet32. I've found a set of GTR standards and waiting for PM reply. I just want it on the road as soon as possible as having it sitting in my garage looking pretty isnt really what a GTR was built to do. Cheers
  12. Just enough to make them not hit the breaks if they do??
  13. Would anyone know if r33 GTST wheels (stock) will fit my R32 GTR properly to get it over the Pits. I'm not sure about the offset or the it fouling the breaks. Also will the RTA have a go at my wheels if there is a spacer on it (as i seem to remember to the offset is less on GTST wheels then on GTR wheels.) CHEERS!!
  14. It's got lower king springs on it or something, but I got some stock springs and going to put them on. Does anyone in ACT want to get rid of their stock wheels? They gave me a sheet about lowering a car, and it has to be above 10cm under a load of 63kg per seat?? Wouldnt know how they got that figure?? Thanks for the replys
  15. If you are willing, how much for the BOV. Also will you include the recirculation piping if you do decide to sell? THANKS!
  16. While on the topic of plumbacks and atmo BOVs. I want to convert my atmo to plumbacks by taking off the trumpets and putting hoses to the recirculation piping. Will this stuff up the AFMs making me stall all the time, or am I just better to take them off and seal up the holes with a metal plate? Am I better to just get GTR stock BOVs and replace what I have. I just got the GTR and it has blitz ones and i dont thing RTA will allow me to get the RWC so I can register it if they are Atmo BOVs. Is it purely a noise problem or also increases the emissions? THANKS
  17. Looks like I'll be buying some stock springs so I can get it registered as it doesn't seem like anyone has any to borrow. So just need to ask a question. If someone has a GTR r32 which still have its stock springs on it, can you please measure the distance between the top of the rear guard and the centre wheel hub. I'm trying to figure out if buying stocks will push it up atleast another 2cm as that will get it past RTA even with 4 guys in car. Thanks!
  18. I though that to as if that was case then they could never defect you for ride height if it was at 10.5cm with only you in your car, but 9cm IF you had a full passangered car. I have to look into that furtherly so if anyone has a definate ruling on that please let us know Also would it be different in NSW then in ACT?
  19. Hey everyone on SAU I just purchased a GTR R32 and found myself with those little annoying problems of getting it registered into my name. Luckly they are rather little. Basically if you have read my post in 'i can lend' thread Bluey started up then you will know what i need. Basically I need a stock Exhaust (that or stock suspension) as the muffler is too low (9cm) when the car is under full load (4 people sitting in it) so either need stock suspension to raise it a few cm (as it looks like it has lower springs) or the exhaust that will fit more closer to the body. Second is the more important but which is that i require a r32 GTR bonnet as my current is CF and the RTA havent made a rule of whether they are generally safe so a RTA engineer has to take a look at it and make a ruling themselves. I'm willing to pay for the 'rent' aswell. So I anyone has one or two of those give me a PM and go from there. I haven't had chance at taking pictures, but once i start driving it around you will see it (ITS GREEN!! O.o) Thanks for reading.
  20. Hello everyone, I just got myself a GTR r32 and I need some bits to get it registered into my name. Firstly I'm after a stock exhaust, as my current ones muffler drops below the 10cm at full load. (4 average guys...according to RTA) I did the test myself with some of my mates who are rather bigger then average....and it dropped to 9cm. I'm not sure if the standard inspectors do any tests like that. Also I'm after a bonnet, as my current one is CF and apparently RTA haven't made a ruling on them whether or not a licensed inspection station is allowed to pass them. Apart from that I do not think ill have a problem...well nothing a hair dryer wont fix in a few hours. Thanks
