Spotted a White R34 tailing a bit behind me Thursday night when i was going home. Also spotted that R35 around Mitchell/Gungahlin Apparently there is 2 R35 GTRs (White) in gungahlin and apparently they are neighbours, but im just thinking that one had come down from Sydney. ?? Hey, After a R32 GTR rear passenger/left side hub (hicas type). I'm not interested in one which are covered in rust, ones which has a stuffed balljoint/bearing, or one that has come off a write off with any rear end damage. I have already been stuffed around with one person who sold me a hub and sent a disgrace of a hub. I dont mind a little bit of surface corrosion but not to the extent that it will have to be disassembled and sand blasted. Also please include postage to Canberra (2912) Thanks

I spent almost 2 months trying to find a decent place. Most would say for non-insurance jobs its a 6 month wait, or they refuse to even quote. I even found some guys who ran a private business one car at a time, who even said he started it because of the lack of skill and quality of businesses when it came to panel beating imported cars, but once he saw pictures of my car he never replied to my emails. It seems almost worth it having it sent to sydney to a panel beater known to be good for their work on skylines. The person I ended up going to I will NOT recommend...lets just say when you ask someone to 'fix' your car you expect it to be fixed, not falling apart. There is a place next to Trojan in Mitchell, but I cannot comment on their quality of work. I think most people wont suggest anyone either because they dont have anyone to suggest or they dont want to make a recommendation that turns bad. But as hr32gts said, the only good repairers will charge alot probably because they know they ARE the only good repairers.

Heya, Someone tried to cook breakfast on my car some time last week (only noticed the left over egg after it rained on Sunday) Last time i checked it was green eggs and ham not eggs and green skyline.... Think it happened at woolworths gungahlin carpark (the big one outside), but from what I head there is a bunch of fools going around smashing up nice cars cause they 'think' the owner doesnt deserve it cause they 'aren't' the same race as them.................and yes i just smashed the hell out of my . buttom thinking these are the same people who shout RACISM whenever we ask them what it means to be australian. So if you looking to park in gungahlin market place, do so underground as majority of egg carrying sherbit high yuppies park in the outside one when they go shopping at woolworths....that or its a pissed off pastry chief spreading the love...

Chris at Inline will recommend classic car resoration. I'm going to be looking for a pannel beater myself soon to get everything and anything measured to see what is straight and what isnt...as it is suppost to be completly repaired and straight...but it doesnt feel like it....ill let you know who i decide on once i finish asking around. Look for somewhere that has a caroliner, as although they may not use it it shows they have the right tools.

Thats it, we need to adopt American sentencing for car theft, not slapping them on the wrist. I'll keep an eye out for it aswell, as being in Gungahlin they might bring it here thinking it too far away for people to recognise it here. Good thing is that wing will stand out as I havent seen many like that. Put a number we can use to contact someone. Hope it is found.

Thats ok, it is what i said aswell. I told them that SAU members rarely go there because of problems in the past. I'll try to pass on the message, but he still disheartened by the incident.

Just a quick comment. I've recently heard that one of my friends friend brought a Skyline recently. He jumped on SAU after someone advised him it was a great community and very friendly. He then notice people meet at the Museum on Friday nights, so he decided to go there to introduce himself after someone mentioned new people should go and say hi. He went down there 3 weeks ago and there was a bunch of other skylines. From the moment he got out of his car he receieve nothing but crap. They only people told him where to go, even though he came just to introduce himself, and then they just left him sitting there. I told him people from here no longer go there because of cop problems...and I'm hoping I was right otherwise if you remember that was you, GROW UP!

Also do not leave out giving Bullet32 a visit. If you have the power you will need to put it to the ground somehow. You might also consider suspension unless the car already has it. Although it wont increase the power, it will help keep the front pointing forwards. Check with your ECU to see if it is mapable and whether it is still using the standard boost solinoid. If you are going up to a higher boost rating, you may need a boost controler.

From what i remember, the rear hicas resovouir needs to be topped up when the car is running as it drops a bit. If you top it up when it isnt on it could still drop below the minimum and trigger the warning light. Check every plug and as age was mentioned, check for snapped wires. It doesnt take much for years of little bits of road hitting a wire to one day just snap. Hope its a quick fix for you once you find the problem

A cop asked me while trying to defect me what the same switch (had red led on it) was in my lil honda, i said i dont have a clue as it was in my car the day i got it. But at that stage it didnt do anything as i grew out of that cheap blue leds in my washer jets the day after i got a $60 fine!! BIG NUMBERS!!...but since i was 17 and was earning only 150 a week...it was alot >< But best to come up with a reasonable reason for it...or they will follow the wire to figure out what it is for. Do R34 have same A/C setup as R32 as mine A/C has a sperate switch to turn on the compressor so something so it isnt always on.

I was going to have all my hicas stuff removed when i had my engine out...but the guy "FORGOT" so instead he put in a lock off whatever it is. with a lockbar then unplugged the solinoid to stop warning lights...but forgot the speed sensor which made more lights come on....><

Just a question about the r32 GTR hicas. Has anyone unpluged the hicas solonoid to stop it allowing any fluid to the back? I have mine unplugged and i dont have the hicas warning and havent had to cut any wires or remove the blub.

I think there is two types of the mobile speed vans. One does flash, but the more modern ones have infra-red so you wont see a flash. But with infra red comes a problem that if the numberplate is too hot, it will be a blur. There is apparently a very large list of restriction using the van, ranging from visibility and humidity all the way to whether there is a tree behind you or whether a bird flys past your car. The reason for this is because they blast you with radiation sending it all over ur car so a return beam is guarenteed, unlike a single beam which would be impossible to get a return beam from. I also remember the vans take 2 photos, one of ur plate and the other of your face. But as the fixed ones are radar, apparently a very white/bluish white coloured blub for your numberplate light will cause it to blur or haze as the light it too hot for the radar (the only radiation they can use is infra-red as anything else could cause interference) Most of this info has come from one of those guys who you see working on them, and the rest just what i read...so dont trust any of it >< But if I'm wrong, correct me

Does that mean if his subframe bushes have rooted themselves, they wouldnt as effectively lift the car (anti-squat) so there would be less of a opposing force being exherted by the tyres towards the ground? The thing i learnt about physics is that it is wrong, but almost correct, just that we havent figured out certain veriables that would make it correct..and if we did, we wouldnt need to worry about friction of the road as we could calculate how to make cars float...see string theory (make sure you have some head-ache tablets)... So maybe check the subframe bushes?? One thing i learnt about weight transfer is that the easiest way to transfer 10 or so kg of weight to the back is to move the battery to the boot... But I agree with Erol, the suspension will only handle the weight in its respective half of the car, but the stiffness will determine how it handles the weight, and the only way to change this is move the suspension closer to the centre of gravity (wheel base). This also explains why front suspension is sometimes softer then the rear, as there is usually more weight in the front half.

Is it still 'the right foot' if you are driving a left hand drive car? So tell me, if I was being paid 200K a year to drive a car around a track really fast...am I a hoon? As far as im conserned, the speeds at which we go are slow. The only reason we have to go those speeds is because we are restricted to having to rely on one of the more weaker forces in this world, friction..and gravity will always find a way to trump friction. Talking of forces, could it be an option that not enough weight of the car is pushing on the rear wheels? If you have very soft suspension, it might be that the rear end is too light so rather then moving the car forwards it jumps it up slightly causing it wheel spin...I dunno only thinking out loud ><

No apologies nessesary. I can sometimes come across a bit too zealous about what I think, and it tend to upset atleast someone. As for the afp not having the resources, that is true in itself but even if someone found it parked somewhere, and I know this HAS happened before, by the time they show it has been moved. It has also to do with our justice system. In America it is called Grand theft auto which falls under grand larceny. Punishments are different from state to state, but in some states first offence is jail time, second time is life and third is death. BUT for us, its fines fines and more fines.. and maybe the send them off to dig a hole for the community...which they do a s#@t job of anyway. Our justice system does not weigh the crimes accordingly to how it effects people. For instance i know alot of people on SAU dont exactly work across the road from their house. So having a car stolen is pretty much forcing them onto a bus, or may even lead to them losing their job. Some jobs require a car as part of the job. Loosing your job can and will seriously screw your life up. These people don't care how having our car stolen effects us. Also I remember seeing that supra somewhere just forgot where, but it may have been before it was stolen. Now that i know what it looks like it will make it alot easier for me to keep an eye out for it. Also the I just noticed that ad about a silver R33 getting stolen from the labour club carpark is STILL on our windown at work, and ill think ill leave it up ^^

Hello R33Gtst Driver, First of all I can understand where you are comming from, ive heard it before. But, after re-reading my post thinking i may have put something racist into it...im sorry but i cant. I did not say i knew who was driving that yellow skyline, but it sounds like you do. Also maybe you missed the connection i made, but my posts are everything to do with a stolen supra. It is these kind of people who steal cars disrespect our way of life who steal our cars, the supra in topic included, who stand in door ways and say 'What are you looking at c##t', who stab girls in down below, yes there, and cut them up so bad they will never be able to have kids ever just because they demanded a blow job and she stood up to them and they said no. I never said anything about bashing up people, about calling up 50 mates to deal with someone who insulted my girlfriend (and to tell you the truth, these people WOULD get 50 of their mates to deal with one guy), or any violence for that matter. Did I not say something about a car rally out the front of Parliament House? I did say we have strength in numbers, but it seems you arent understanding WHAT I am sick of. I well and truely know violence is not going to solve the problem, but rather have one voice saying that we cannot and will not allow this type of malicious behaviour from anyone. This actually DID happen in America along time ago, and I do believe someone on SAU posted it a while ago. It was how street crime was getting so bad the police couldnt handle it, so the people decided to band together in numbers and patrol the streets, and confronting anyone acting in a suspicious manner or who was doing something unlawful. The knew their rights as the people and acted upon them, in a non violent manner. It wasnt before long that the crime rate began to drop because of the patrols and not so long after the sheer presence of these groups stopped crime from occuring in the most part. Personally i commend you for maintaining your integrity when it comes to fights, and facing them one on one. But tell me, what gave those guys the right to even think they could try to make a move on your girlfriend and even worse to spit on you and your girlfriend. This is just another perfect example about how these people dont care about us or would way of life, only what they want. Point is cars will continue to be stolen, girls will continue to be raped and people will continue to be assaulted for 'the way you looked at me' if we just ignore it and say "I dont want to risk retribution". I cannot say exactly how we as individuals can solve the large problems of war, corruption and famine through out our world, but it is STILL our problems to solve. The money is there in the handful of first world countries that could make a difference...and being the they make up for a signifcant chunk of the worlds economics, which is worth around 50 Trillion American dollars, I think if they could if they really wanted to they could.

Also, if I see it parked somewhere public (Gungahlin Market place) I'll figure out some way of making sure it stays where i found it (remove fuses from engine bay, let down tyres etc. The way things usually go is that someone finds it and by the time the owner is able to pick it up its gone. Is it under insurance as I'll also ring the insurance agency and tell them to get it towed. From what Slaughter said, there is power with numbers, considerable power. The general public will not hear the rants and raves of a single voice, but a blockage of cars driving around Parliament House may be dismissed with the thought 'just a bunch of people having a cry' to the i-dont-really-care type of people but atleast people will hear us. We need numbers and alot of numbers. We need to talk with our friends, bothers and cousins..and they need to talk to their friends, brothers and counsins. Each and every day my girlfriend gets filthy looks by guys because she is a girl. The common view is that this behaviour is acceptable. But that would all change if each time those guys thought they could have a perv they got a verbal splash regarding how their attention is not only un-wanted, but is sickening. If you want to look at a girl, and as a guy i also look, keep it to how it us suppost to be and that is appreciation of their natural attractiveness and beauty. They dont care about age either as the laws are a joke. Here is it 20 years maximum for raping someone and most of the time they are only given 5 years...5 years and then some poor women will most probably get a visit from the same guy who caused her so much paid and suffering. In America its a maximum of life or death. I believe that rape is just the same as murder as you might not kill them, but you have killed what made them unique. Rape can destroy peoples lives in such the same way as murder. It can make women hate 'ALL' men. Check the streets around Mainwaring Rich street (Elvire/Flora) but DONT stop and DONT get out of ur car. And if someone starts following you make sure you dont lead them home...can be a bad place around there. Also keep an eye out around Weston Creek area. I can probably say with 90% certainty it was the same people who stole my car if the supra was around Palmerson and my car was recovered in Weston Creek. Far as in conserned the only reason cars keep getting stolen is because they know we wont do anything as a community. It's up to us to decide what type of world we want our children to grow up in and their children to grow up in, and if we want our daughters to have to fear going out at night because there is a 1 in 10 chance they WILL get raped, im moving to Finland, cause atleast there it isnt looked down upon if a community decided to kill someone because they are trying to screw up their way of life. There is 340 000 people in Canberra alone, but we a bullied by a small 100 or so individuals because the law protects them in all the wrong ways... Trust me on this...ANY court will find it impossible to charge and sentence even 1000 people who stand up and decide we dont want this scum in our world, we are getting rid of it. And what if 100,000 people decided on the same thing? We live in a community were we dont even know who lived 4 doors up from us, yet we wave at them every morning. Ask yourself this, if you say a girl being raped in a back alley, screaming in terror...would you help her? Now everyday there is serveral girls crying out for help, but behind closed doors.
