I'm not 100% sure but the same sources told me that the wet t-shirt comp was cancelled and apparently it was (I was working so I wouldnt know) but my sources tell me that the arrangements to have the nats moved to Sydney are under way and most probably will be in Sydney next year. I saw a few Skylines in the paddock and had a fun time listening to the occasional bogan trying to explain to his mate what 'machines' they were...although the left a turbo out for one of the GTRs i saw there (r32). Did many people see the maroon R32 GTR near the fence line? Only 12000km on the odometer and was originally owned by Mark Skafe. I know the guy who owns it, and when i saw it driving away its rear indicator is the outside tail light rather then the light between the two tail lights. Looked pretty nice (had my stockies on it that i swapped for his) Apologies to Shell about our ATM and how it ran out of cash on Saturday(shell servo), happens every year and I'm the one who has to tell everyone that we only cashout $50 per transaction, when most people wants atleast $100.

I've heard rumours about how much sydney is offering to have a 3-5 year contract to have the nats there, something like 10-15 mil!! Also they got 10000 less people going then they were aiming for. Chances are if it is on next year it will be its last. I'm all for autosalon, but if it does come to canberra the first year will be awkard for us due to the fact the nats fans will cause trouble as it isnt the nats. I'm glad its over, driven down flemmington without seeing one cop twice now

I just heard something I would have expected not to hear from one of my friends. From what she said, after the nats had cleared out and everyone went to Braddon about 10 or so Skylines in a group were acting like Bogans. Burnouts, hooing around, shouting 'White Shirt' sticking their fingers up at whoever cared to look, and most of all throwing bottles at other peoples cars. Now I know alot of people who get pissed off, if not everyone, if a Bogan driving a commodore pulled up at the light and just as the lights turned green they pegged a beer bottle at ur door causing a rather big dent. Only problem with this is it wasnt one bottle it was well over a case. I'm personally ashamed if anyone on this forum was part of this, as us skylines already have enough problems being targeted by cops as it is. I know there is alot of skylines around, but the cops dont care. Personally I'm alot more relieve now that the nats are finished as I can drive up and down flemmington without getting defected.

Took the car back there and they looking it over. Turns out one of the tie rod ends have seized and the bracket that comes off the front lower control arm (passangers side) that the stabliser/dampener attaches to has snapped off. Although they COULD and probably ARE saying this is what has cause the wear, i dont see how either of these problems could. One person mentioned to me that a loose power steering rack would be the main problem, but if they did the adjustment in the first place these problems would have been picked up. I'm taking it back to them once the other problems are fixed up, after I have someone else look and tell me why my tyres are worn so much so i have the evidence to prove it was their stuff up. The lower control arm damage and the tie rod end seizure should have been fixed then i had my front end fixed from my roo-barrier-barrier pinball accident, so im taking it back to the person who repaired it for that. ...And i havent even smashed a mirror... ><

Thanks Autobase I'll contact you when i will need them. Still after the third link control arm. This is the bit that connects the suspension to the main hub and also connects to the dampener for the sway bar. Thanks!

Wrecking R32 In Vic
Helious replied to tin-pain's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey, I'm after the front tie rod ends and the passanger side 'Third link' which is the bit that the bottom of the suspension strut bolts to (the bit u usually need a breaker bar to un-bolt) From what it looks you can remove it from the upper link assembly. PM back if you have these avaliable. Cheers! Paul -
Hey all, I'm after the Third link, which is the bit that the front suspension bottom bolts to (passangers side) and the dampener bolts to. Also need one if not both front tie rod ends (need drivers side) Cheers!

My dad saw lightning strike a electricity pole with a transformer on it in Mitchell. Sparks flew everywhere. Best thing was this was just outside the new ford spare parts place and builders next door were working of the building next door which was just a metal frame. They just stood there looking and the looked at each other then decided it would be best to get off the very large lightning rod. I woke up to it and looked out side and it looked like fog it was so heavy ><

Nope, no rubbing at all. I even have had that set of tyres taken over the pits and they didnt have a problem with them. Besides the wear is all over the tyre, and it has a very uniform angle to it, it actually lips at every break at the tread, and i can even tear off bit of the tyre. It looks as if rather then my tyres rolling as tyres should, they are also being pushed forwards by the rear. Personally, even if they did have a state of the art laser adjustment system and dont know how to set it up for a GTR, they stuffed it up and as a result and didnt own up to that fact. People would say once you drive away its too late, but it works the same for them. If I drove away and they knew something was wrong that i didnt know, its neglegance. I'm afraid to drive that in the wet as when i did it was jumping to the left and right each time i went over something remotely like a pot hole. It even started to skid out at the front at anything over 60...and it still has a legal amount of tread on it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I seem to remember we can't voice our opinion over companies that shaft us over so other don't make the same mistake. It would also be a great help so when people are looking for a place they can find this information out BEFORE they take their car. I've done it twice and only AFTER I took my car to these places did the 'Oh they are dodgy dont take ur car to them' comments and the 'You should take ur car here' comments start to be voiced. Anywho I wont mention who or where in Fyshwich they are, but I got a new set of tyres off them and also got a complete wheel alignment. Got the tyres, didnt get the alignment. Only 2 weeks after I had my tyres on I relised excessive wear on my front tyres and shortly made the connection that the contant coating of black dust on the back of my car wasnt exhaust or stuff from road but bits of tyre. I had this done on 3 of December and they are almost on the minimum wear markers. I'm going back tomorrow to, in a very friendly way, demend 2 new tyres since they said they did a complete alignment and when i asked them who bad they were out of alignment all they said was they had seen worse but they straightened it up. I asked them how the suspension was and they said fine and also asked how it drove and they said fine aswell.. I also now know the word fine is only use to describe food and how nice it taste.... Well if they want to give me the whole its ur fault blah blah cry speech they can tell it to consumer affairs who are already waiting to hear back from me... End of Rants

Hello Just need a little advice on coilpacks for my r32 GTR as i need to replace mine. I know spitfire are 'the best' you could get (maybe) but what about the other brands? I've found the following: Just-Jap racing brand: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=307&page=1 Superspark brand: http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/pr...products_id=249 and this other one which im not 100% on: Performance-wise brand on ebay (the yellow ones) I'm not looking to get any sort of dramatic improvement and I'm only planning to run stock boost for a while untill i can get better turbos and a PowerFC. Thankies ^^

Selling My R33 $10,000 Ono. So Unhappy :(
Helious replied to Rev_head88's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Ha! Just cars wont insure me cause my guards are fibreglass...and they didnt mind giving me a quote the past 3 times but the time i actually put it on as i just spend $7000+ repairing it they chuck this at me and explain how their extensive network of repairers dont know f all about how to repair fibreglass... Does this reflect justcar's repairers arent the best pick of the bunch, even though i though you could choose where to have ur car fixed provided the insurance company approved the quote. NRMA gave me a quote but it was like $1000 more then justcar's preveous one. Going to try shannons, the car enthusiests insurance, but i bet they will say it isnt red or a gogo mobile so they wont insure it. I have yet to give CGU a ring, I'll let you know. But for ur age Kyle you probably find about $3500 a year for comprehesive if they give u a quote. But as far as i think, fully comprehesive doesnt insure against jealous little mole people who like to throw stones... -
It isnt the part of Flemmington between EPIC and the car wash place, its the dust bowl of a pot-hole riddled road after it. Due to the road work you never know whether its 60 or 80 and you either get 3 or 4 cars going 60 in the 80 zone or 1 car trying to do 100, riding your arse, driving in the bicycle lane and then overtaking you when you hit the 60 zone in an unbroken line area.... ><

Food- Jimmy's Place Movies- Dendy's cause you can usually get a cinima to yourself during the 9:30 sessions during the week. Chillout- Coolroom at work...especially during summernats and summer. Drive- Flemmington..I love tailgaters!! Best Food Van- 0.o Shopping- The Hub, so much cool stuff!! Clubbing- Rock climbing centre every month or so, but no one tells me about it so I always miss it >< Best car wash: Heavy rain while parked under gum tree (free protecter coat!!) Aquarius carwash or waves (lives up the road from it) Worse car wash: Waves, cause as soon as you leave Gungahlin you get a nice dust coat from Flemmington, even worse if you live in Gungahlin. Tailgate strip: Flemmington, the only road you are certain you will be tailgated in whether it's rain, hail or shine. Fishing spot: Mooseheads or Shooters you even dont have to use bait half the time. Worse maintained road- Flemmington I HATE FLEMMINGTON!!

Where To Get Skyline Passed For Rego?
Helious replied to Rev_head88's topic in Australian Capital Territory
We need to get those ultraviolet markers Today Tonight used... But yes if DMB give you excuses goto Paul White, he won't stuff you around and will tell you front up what needs doing. He is also the first mechanic who has rung me to tell me that it wont cost as much as they didnt need to replace something in the end, something other places will leave out and charge you full price anyway.
