Where To Get Skyline Passed For Rego?
Helious replied to Rev_head88's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Is DMB the one next to Woolies servo? If it is they used to be called Jacko's Automotive or something like that. I havent heard anything bad about them so they should be good. But if you drop by my servo (shell next to epic) on weekends or Tuesday night I'll give you a discount on fuel ^^ Paul White is Gungahlin is also great for rego checks. They wont try to rip you off but will stick to the book so that you wont get defected on something stupidly obveous in the first week such as car height. Cheers and welcome to SAU XD -
I think i could get that R34 GTR Nur Spec.II for a photo shoot as he did offer. Just giving options but I like number 1.

Spotted a Lambo Superleggera on my forecourt and flying around Mitchell on Sunday....Annoying Rich man...I may have convinced him to look at a R35 GTR...but he didnt seem convinced considering he was driving a V12 Lambo which was 70-80% carbon-fibre. But spotted a Silver R33 GTS25t today on my forecourt.

Spotted a R34 GTR M-spec at my work. Guy said he saw a R35 GTR while he was driving down from Sydney...dont know if he was passing it or it was passing him, but at 190kmph (he didnt notice till he looked then slowed down) I can't be certain...Really hope price on the R35s drop one day... Also spotted my regular (keep forgetting your name) white R33 and also another silver R33 which had a tad bit of gutter love on the front bar.

Competition Soundstream Tarantula Setup. Really Serious Gear
Helious replied to androoh's topic in For Sale (Other Items)
I didnt know Woolworths made audio equipment (no name brand)... Well for those interested, if the seriously thick seals around the cones doesnt yell powerful, then the huge dual voice coils will... $2500 for a full comp setup is a awesome price and i wish i had the money (and lived near by) to buy it as i need a great setup for my r32 that handles fast bassy trance/happy hardcore. Soundstream is a excellent quality American brand, better then DUB and as good if not better then kicker. Goodluck with the sale. -
From what I understand, part of the reason why Labour/Liberal dont want the dragway is because if they did they would have to also maintain it aswell as staff it and keep it safe, then worry about public liability and then it could also impact their electoral chances if it goes south. If they had sponsers and companies saying they will run the place or donate to keep it maintained then the government have a scapegoat if it goes south and has someone to point the finger at if something bad happens....politics... What we really need is sponsers that can be relied upon such as Nissan, Yokohama (or Federal if you prefer), Motul and/or some local industry that will keep the place running, because how the government works is how much will it cost to build and how much to maintain and how much will be make out of it. I can say that even if a dragway is built and it is run by the government, the RTA/Rego.act will be inspecting every car that passes in and out of its gates so you might get in but as soon as you try to drive home you get a canary... We dont need government assistance to build the place, just million dollar companies willing to spare with some funds. I may vote for AMP but I want to know how long will it take to build it and what promise is there that in 3-4 years if they get voted out the new government wont shut up shop. Its up to AMP to convince me to vote for them not me to convince myself. I like alot of their policies but I want to know they know what they are doing. (For instance they have alot of contacts with other raceways/dragstrips)

Road Registered R35 Gtr In Woden Today
Helious replied to a20089's topic in Australian Capital Territory
I did say has an idea, not that i definetly knew who owned it. But like you said 'compliance was only approved for the first lot of cars a few weeks ago' but for that to happen they need to bring in a R35, do significant testing to prove it complies to ADR then have that complied and I.D plated and apply for permission to comply a certain amount of the same vehicle. I'm not arguing that the guy might be not be full of crap, just seeing his R34 GTR Nur Spec 2 id think being a Skyline driver he wouldnt as it wouldnt amount to anything, I'm just saying having one vehicle complied is alot different then having serveral of the same vehicle complied so it isnt impossible to have one complied provided you have enough money to do all the testing (which is where the F430 fitted in). -
Forgot the bit how we are faster off the line, and the fact they will be drunk and end up hitting their own mates instead. Just spill their beers and they will kneel down and cry.

Road Registered R35 Gtr In Woden Today
Helious replied to a20089's topic in Australian Capital Territory
I have an idea who might own it, forget his name but one of his mates (who was driving his R34 GTR) came to get fuel from me said he actually had his R35 GTR in Australia complied and ready to be pitted for rego 3 months ago, but Nissan made him promise not to drive it publicly on the road until the R35s were offically allowed into Australia for road use. Could be him but then again I saw a pretty hot Ferrari F430 driving around Kingston looking for a park the other day so it wouldnt take much to get one of those complied personally (you can write in and get permission to have a single car complied personally with governments permission) with the right donations. -
I'll be there...serving fuel XD I'll give everyone a lollypop XD

If you go there before 1pm, half the bogans are still sleeping off their preveous night in their tents...

I'm Ticked Off...what Gets You Wound Up?
Helious replied to LTSJayce's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Ah ha, i got the best of both worlds today! Was about to turn onto Flemmington road but this 4WD in front of my was giving way to cars not even near the roundabout (also drove in bicycle lane). But if that wasnt worse enough, at one intersection this driving stopped to give way to ghosts, only to have a laser dart through it (P-plate), making people coming from the right having to stop in the intersection. This laser driver then kept to the speed limit (60) until entering a road work area (60) then increase speed to 80, then droped down to 70 when they went into a 80 zone and shortly after started to indicate right then stoped indicating then turned left without indicating. ...I'll have some of what he's having!! -
Problem is there is always someone who thinks just because one girl decided to get into the spirit and flash, they think that girl is their own personal striper. I'm personally against anything that degrades girls into nothing more then beer fueled entertainment, but its the few who demand it off every girl they see and who forget that some girls do like cars and like the smell of petrol but have no interest in flashing, let alone being chanted "head lights on" and shortly after that the S-word. *cuts and pastes into 'What ticks me off' thread*

Anyone ever heard of that kind of stuff happen at a Wakefield track day or a Autosalon?? Maybe a very very rare thing (shortly followed by a gang beating of the perp), but i believe everyone who goes to those are going to admire other peoples car or have people admire their cars. If you utube'd summernats, i doubt you will find many videos which doesnt focus in on a girls arse or so.

From Wednesday onwards to Sunday 6:00pm it will be open to public. They have warned Chic Hendry that the cops will close down the nats like last year if things get out of hand. They have already banned bikey colours, and are trying to ban 'headlights on' by allowing security to throw people out who over zealously encourage it. The reason summernats got shut down last year for a couple of hours was becasue a bunch of guys wouldnt leave a 14 year old girl alone such to the point they followed her and her boyfriend untill the boyfriend snapped and told them to F off, but they just started brawling and trying to rip the clothes off the girl...so i take Kats approch, except i work there ><

Formal Car Nedded For 11th Of December
Helious replied to auzzii's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Also depends whether it will just be you or you will be taking your a date. If you are taking as date best bet would be a 4 door Skyline over the 2 door, as you would also be trying to make an impression on your date aswell as everyone else one would hope. Anywho i submit my piccy next to my name as my car is having its engine put in after a nasty roo hit which required the engine to come out >< Give me a PM if interested, but i myself not sure if i will be avalible that day. -
Hey all, If anyone doesnt know yet, i work in the shell servo right next to EPIC (not NATEC!! it was sold by government long time ago) so I unfortunatly have to work the car fueling side of the Nats. I've recently found out they will be starting summernats New Years Eve!! and continuing on to Sunday from then. Personally, i think it is a waste of time as most people will be going to Sydney or Melbourne for New years party, or getting drunk in a pub/bar/living room/pool/bathtub. But i do remember a few Skylines in the Nats last year, and Nick is bringing his JUN r32 down to Canberra for the nats, so I might as well start the ball rolling on whether or not it is good news to consider taking a Skyline near the nats. Cheers!

I looked around DFO on Thursday when it wasnt even open cause the paper said it opened then, I just walked in no one bothered me as most of the people there were workmen and staff >< Spotted Nick's R34 GTR V.Spec 2 Nur on my forecourt today...Still havent seen his JUN R32 yet, but he bringing it down for the Nats.

Whoever owns the silver R33 GTS-T usually parked outside or next to 'Taxpert' you keep forgetting to close your fuel flap Spotted R34 with carbon?? bonnet and boot heading onto Flemmington drive. Also spotted a garage full of silvias in Amaroo (its in Gungahlin), blue one parked outside with smoked tail lights.
