  1. Well yes, I am very blind then. I take all of that back completely! (I feel like an asshole now )
  2. Hey guys, Just checked out the wiring for this door beep on my R33 Series 2. The black with purple stripe wire is correct with the first post, however I did it a different way that required no cutting. On the ignition barrel, there are a couple of wires going into a clip that directly plugs to the barrel and there are 2 wires that appear hard wired to the barrel but about 5 - 10cm down there is a clip for them (a bit like a fly lead). The first plug is for the lights so don't touch that one. The one on the side that has the sorta flylead is the one you want to unclip (for the r33 s2 it was a black flat plug). All headlights, power windows and mirrors still work.
  3. Spotted a wingless Gold R33 GTST yesterday in Fyshwick and followed him down Monaro Hwy (he turned off heading to jerra). Gave a wave in fyshwick and got a nice dagger wielding stare back.. Tuff mate, real tuff. *insert rolling eyes emoticon here*
  4. Ok, yes, I'm not completely stupid. I understand that the signs reflect light a hell of a lot, I just could see where the light source was. MANG - Props on the pro photo
  5. Thats actually an interesting photo in a couple of respects. 1.) You guys are all from Saturday night fever 2.) We should ALL know the turn off to the Friday night meeting point 3.) I've looked at the photo a couple of times now and struggling to work out whether its trick photography or just good angles to get the sign so bright yet everyone else so dark..
  6. I see this car heaps on Donald Rd in Queanbeyan.
  7. Exactly what I was thinkin Gus, CE28N or even the RE30's would work on it
  8. Yeh mate, White with Gold Volks. Honestly, didn't pick the Vic plates. I picked 'Summernats Blow-in' purely because I had not seen your car around before.
  9. I think I may have spotted JD R33 (Sky? Blue R33) on the big roundabout near Kingston at St Clairs this morning... It's hard to wave whilst turning on the roundabout half asleep.
  10. That's just pityful. Someone needs a good hit to the back of the head if that is true. My car stayed in the garage the whole time over the weekend because of the nats. Does anyone know if there are other 'Skyline' clubs in the ACT? It's just odd to see 10 skylines being disrespectful, i'd understand one or two as they could be mates, but 10 is pretty much a gang mentality...
  11. People that lose any form of self control when they get stuck behind a slower vehicle than them with multiple lanes around. Yesterday, we were heading out to Civic from Kings Avenue (2 lanes all the way) and my girlfriend was driving in the left lane doing around 75km/h (she is very cautious when she is driving with others in the car). For the whole time from Kings Av up to the roundabout to turn off to the convention centre, she was tailgated by some loonatic even though he could have overtaken without any dramas. He then proceeded to overtake and then brake test us for another 500m and signalling to pull over. I spent the next 30 minutes trying to convince the girl that it wasn't a personal attack. People need to chill out on the road. Seriously.
  12. I'll be hiding in Qbn...
  13. Spotted a Charcoal R32 GTR followed by a Silver R33 GTST on Yamba coming from Erindale at lunchtime today. I didn't bother waving, was in a Prado...
  14. I also have a used rb25det water pump from a 96 series 2 Shell (mine was just replaced by trojan at 92000km as part of the 100k service). I'm in Theodore (deepish south).
  15. It is always that same bl00dy guy every time! And there is no way what so ever that he is doing it by the book... When I was defected, I got done for 95db... Right next to a curb surrounded by a V8 SS Ute and a WRX which were both being tested at the same time, yeh, thats fair.. Went over the RTA station and they just looked at the exhaust and it measured 79db...
  16. Just for comparison Chris. John @ Trojan just did mine the other day on a cold block: 1st: 145 2nd: 160 3rd: 160 4th: 160 5th: 155 6th: 150 He said it was fine and would be even less of a gap once some heat got into the block.
  17. Bugger, my tuner has said the same thing. He has tried different VINs from both Nissan Oz and Nissan Japan, and they all rock up as being rubber now.. I've hopefully sourced a metal one off the forums though
  18. Craved, do you know where to find these metal reinforced collector gaskets?
  19. I've found this post that has an e-bay link in it to a collector gasket, but it doesn't really look too right... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pl...ollector+gasket
  20. Definetly Ben. Have some more info on the skyline situation too (as posted by my wanted to buy post), he thinks I may have a collector gasket issue... It will explain the rich under boost and slightly lean on vacuum. No one unfortunately has a metal gasket. John can't even order one as he's tried many VIN's and part numbers, all turn up being rubber gaskets.....
  21. There is DEFINETLY 2 versions of the gasket as I saw both today (the reinforced one was unfortunately on another customers car so I could 'borrow' it)... and also: The seal has not be 100% confirmed, but he has stated that it'd be worth the change since it looks like it is being pushed out. It would explain the lean on vacuum and heavy richness on boost...
  22. Spotted Ex!$t3nZ's Camry back at Trojan this arvo. John putting on the FINAL touches ready for a tune tomorrow!!! (he was soooo out of it after just getting back from Sydney )
  23. Hey Guys After a Metal Re-Inforced Intake gasket that sits between to two intake manifold pieces (not to the engine) for an RB25DET. This attached photo should clear things up. I'm currently running a standard rubber one and my tuner believes it is leaking under full boost causing a richness and major loss of power up high. He is unable to find a part number for the metal re-inforced version though, only the rubber one...
  24. Is that ad to be played in Oz? Only ask because of the language the site was in.. Very good filming, definetly.
  25. If the R34 GT-T (hehe R45, i wish :-P) has the same boost gauge setup as the R33, there is a MAP sensor on the driver side near your brake booster. This has a vacuum line going from the back of the engine manifold to it. This could have come off which will result in you being unable to read anything other than '0' (in your case -1). ^^ahh, i was beaten^^^
