Ben, mate, not sure what has happened and its got John baffled... My car lost 40kw's which was due to the collapsed exhaust, replaced the cat back section and also installed a JJR return flow cooler and the std air box. Since, John retuned it with an extra 3 degrees (had to remove 3 degrees to stop detonation due to the collapsed middle muffler), which meant it should have been back up to 260kw.... Unfortunately, it is still 227kw at 1.3bar... John did a compression test and all came back fine, all averaging about 155-160. He has a theory since everything else has pretty much been explored and that is possibly my valve springs have become weak and now the valves are floating a bit. He said that the best way to find out if its still on power is to line up against you.

I didn't talk to John for long but he mentioned that the auto elec'y ran out of space for the day or something so it was moved back temporarily, so i don't think it would be completely finished.. I'll hopefully be back this arvo to grab the car after what should be its last and final tune since losing my middle muffler to rust and re-installin my airbox.

Spotted Ex!$t3nZ's (sorry mate, don't actually know your name) Toyota sitting peacefully at Trojan this arvo. Still looking sweet as!

Bayside Blue R34 GTR in Manuka last night around 7pm... Sounded tough as! Wanted to say hi whilst waiting for the missus, but he didn't look very friendly (or i didn't)....

I know it isn't Northside. However I always recommend Ben and the Doble family @ Natrad in Phillip.

Ahh good, thus the need for the Jap Chassis Number then... Thanks guys, i've got Angelo running around at Trojan too looking for one at the same time, if he can't get one, hopefully I can order one from Lennock
-
Yeh, i've had issues with Subaru guard liners before and ordering them in via Dealerships... They had 3 go's at it and they still ordered the wrong side each time. Chris, the Lennock one, thats in Philip isn't it?
-
I was thinking about Lennock Chris. I just figured that any of the Nissan dealerships would be useless because they never directly sold any R33's...

Thanks Ben I'm yet to go back and look as it was peak hour yesterday. I'll be going the same way home today, so will be keeping my eye out. I would imagine at least 50 cars have driven over it by now.... I'm just trying to call Angelo and John now as I need the retune after re-installing my airbox, so i'll ask them as well. Has anyone dealt with Nisswreck before?

Hey SAU gang, My front passenger guard liner off my R33 GTST Series 2 decided to part with my car on the highway yesterday. It is the front part that goes from the front bumper and then up in front of the wheel where the std intercooler sits. Does anyone have one and the appropriate clips since they were ripped out with it also? Cheers Sam
-
Hey Guys, I lost my front left wheel arch guard liner somewhere on the Monaro Hwy yesterday arvo. Does anyone know if you can order a new liner and clips from anywhere in Canberra? Does anyone have one for an R33 S2? Cheers Sam

Yep, just a drive in, stop and photos as said and drive off. After the last 2 formals my mates daughter just went to, I would refrain from any mischief type behaviour... There has been police in both marked and unmarked at all of them. The Eddies one that was at Rydges Lakeside ended up funneling all the traffic to the back of the hotel straight into awaiting police. I just washed the car on the weekend and would like to help out Michele but as with the rest of the guys, I can't finish work early enough.

I know i don't get out much anywhere but what the hell is and where is 'Monkey Bar'.....

Don't Read This Thread. It's A Tripple Post!

C'mon Reece, as if you were not jealous of all my MASSIVE angles from the Subie at the skidpan -
From reading the JustJap For Sale thread by Steve. Yes, the R34 and R33 GTST kits are the same.

snoopy4eva, do you run an FMIC at all? It is legal to run a POD in ACT as long as it is mounted securely. I currently have an JustJap FMIC kit (type 1 - over the radiator painted black) which meant I had to change from a standard airbox to a POD. I have enclosed the POD in a UAS fibreglass box and have a homemade cold air feed going to it. I have since bought another FMIC kit (return pipe) so I can run my stock airbox again, which means I will have a very cheap FMIC kit and POD setup available in the next week or 2.

I have a brand new MetalCat from Trojan on mine (about 2 months old) so I hope it lasts longer than a year...... I know Ben! Mufflers are just going nuts! Will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow at Powatone. Ian is away so it is all up to John to do a good job for me. I was hoping to get a twin 3" tip but i may have to settle for only a single 3" slash cut. Ex!$t3nZ - I did see your car yesterday mate. It was up on the hoist when I was there. I had to take a couple of looks at it. So not used to seeing a 'Toyota Camry' like that.

Spotted a White R33 heading along Hindmarsh towards Fyshwick at lunch time. Also a White R33 with a large bodykit on it in Fyshwick on my way to Harris Tech. (Car's booked in tomoz to get my two new mufflers sorted, yay, hope it will be quiet enough for the police but loud enough for me)
-
Just got off the phone with John again... Turns out that my middle muffler is rooted and my rear muffler is probably gone as well. Would explain the random detonation that was happening.... Off to PowerTone in Fyshy for another legal cat back system.
-
Haha, thank god for that then.... John just rang to tell me that I've lost 30kw's somewhere though :-(
-
Please tell me you spotted my car too at Trojan Ben??? I dropped it off there last night and I would hope that it is still there today...........

Spotted a Black R33 last night come into the driveway in Kingston, look confused, then drove off down Leichardt Street instead... Random thinkin i was being stalked by another skyline........

I am forever 'running and hiding' when it comes to driving. My car is engineered by Ray Spence (at Canberra Motor Works - someone may have his number for you) for my FMIC, Exhaust, Wheels and POD/CAI. I have since put on a PowerFC, GTRS and Nismo Injectors which now makes it a different kettle of fish with my engineering as it will require a visit to Sydney to get emission tests done. Now, I think the exact same way as you where I don't think there is anything wrong with my car, but the police/rta do always differ opinion on the side of the road. My exhaust was defected on noise one friday night near the Subaru dealership in Phillip, didn't change a thing when i went over to Dickson to clear the defect and passed on noise without an issue. (Oh, and i had to go over Dickson because the RTA inspector said, "Well you failed on noise by 2db and I've ticked full inpection just to make sure everything else is A-ok" So where I stand now is considering changing my current FMIC to Just Japs 'stealth' one so i can re-install my original airbox to avoid the police/rta on the side of the road yet again ignoring an engineering cert and sending me back over Dickson because I have a POD filter (even though its enclosed, heat shielded and sound deadened). I hate feeling like I am a prisoner at home, it reallllly gets me angry because I am unable to drive anywhere due to someone wanting to 'enforce' their 'power' over me...

Haha, all good mate. I'm not exactly the most PC person, but yes, that definition is very un-PC!

Sorry, i should have pointed out that I wasn't calling us hoons. I don't see myself or any of you guys as hoons. Unfortunately I was using the word in the way the police do to get the 'community' (read: people in retirement villages) attention.
