  1. Hehe, much fun was had I'll get some video footage up of the cat flying out soon
  2. Cheers guys. Mick, yes, i guess they are nice tyres... I'll find out on the skidpan this Sunday.
  3. Engineered FMIC, POD, Wheels and Exhaust. Did the FMIC and POD because it was just as easy. db test at dickson on the exhaust read 83db @ 3200rpm
  4. Hi Gang, At the request of Jeno, here is some photo's of my new rims that I got through RMS. They are 18*8 and 18*9 (+29 offset front and rear) Volk Racing GTC Face 2's. Absolutely LOVE THEM, and they are legally engineered too! Anyway, ENJOY
  5. Hahaha, very true Baconer. Here I was worrying about small children, how could I forget about the Ant and Twig combo...
  6. Yay, PASSED!
  7. Ok, so I've just left Dickson rego inspection. Failed. Not happy. They failed me on the exhaust being 4mm too low (96mm), so right now I have the car at Powatone (awesome guys out there) getting the flanges rotated and the middle muffler raised up as far as it can (there isn't much room, but I am praying for a miracle). And then i'm heading straight back to Dickson to get the green tick on the car.
  8. Hi Paul, Absolutely awesome FAQ! Just a quick one, have an ECR33 PFC, does anyone know what the "VTC" stands for in the Sensor check? At first I thought it was a miss type of VCT, but now i don't think it is.
  9. Thanks Gary, PM Sent. Are these bushes easy to replace yourself or would it be better for a Steering/Suspension place to do it. I have a fair bit of experience working on cars (a lot of engine/driveline swaps etc) and general maintenance, just new to the skyline body..
  10. Thanks guys. Now that I know the name of the rod I was able to utilise the search function and found that it is quite a common OEM part to give way.
  11. Are these bushes able to be replaced in the Tension Rod or do we have to buy a new Tension Rod?
  12. Yep, Tension Rod seems correct Zennon
  13. Hi Guys, Can someone quickly name what this arm is? (As you can clearly see, my bushes have let go) Also, does anyone know the part number for replacement of the arm or can the the bushes themselves be replaced? http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/8586/hpim0045yw2.jpg http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/7516/hpim0046ci6.jpg Cheers Sam
  14. Currently I'm running 18*9 +29 with 265/35s on the rear, had to roll the guards.
  15. Thanks for the offer R32 Matt, I managed to get some 16" stockies from Sydney which will hopefully arrive tomoz with about 90% tread. Thanks again for the offer.
  16. Cheers for the replies guys, I have the car booked in with Ray Spence this Thursday, and some standard rims coming down tomoz from Sydney. I also realised that it is my front wheels that are the incorrect load rating for the car (88W 225/40/18). Federal didn't have 235s in stock at the time I put the rims on... r33skyflyin, i can't see why you cannot put stock wheels on my car ever again once my other rims are engineered..................
  17. Have you had a look at the Liberty and WRX forums for a GC8 PowerFC? www.rslibertyclub.org usually has one or two up for sale and all the members are quite friendly to assist.
  18. Hopefully sorted, thanks Raf. Payment made.
  19. Want to buy a set of standard R33 GTST rims to pass rego. Preferably with legal tread, not required depending on price. I'm in Canberra, so Sydney guys may be able to assist a bit better than SA or WA... If in Sydney, it would be appreciated if the rims could be dropped off in Alexandria. Thanks in advance, Sam
  20. Hi ACT gang, After the defect on Friday night from exhaust reading 95db, (i really have to check the ADR's on this... The guy measured it 4100rpm, i thought for a 6cyl after 1996 it was on 3600rpm), I'll be needing to get my FMIC and POD engineered. Now I want to get my wheels engineered as well, but I don't think I will be able to because the max on the tyre placard says 7.5/8.5" and i'm running 8/9", plus the rear tyres have a load rating of less than 91V (88W or 89W i think, they are the Federal 595's in 265/35/18). First question I have is: Can someone confirm that these are the correct details for Ray Spence; Ray Spence Canberra Motor Works 38 Hoskins St Mitchell 2911 (02) 6241 8777 Second question I have is: Does anyone have some wheels with legal rubber on them that I can borrow next week (if i can get the car booked into Dickson)? Or does anyone know someone selling some cheap rims to put tyres on that will fit the 33? Thanks in advance all Cheers Sam
  21. Have these been sold?? I am interested..
  22. Does anyone have stock R33 GTS-T rims with legal tread? After the exhaust defect from the other night, i'm going to get my intake/intercooler engineered and exhaust, but I don't think they will let me through with my rims as the tyres are only 88 load rating (Mick, why did federal have to go so low on the 265/35s )... or if not for anyone having stock 33 rims, does anyone have rims that will fit and have legal tread that don't require spacers? None of this will be needed until next week sometime i think considering how hard it will be to book a rego inspection in the first place..
  23. It was great to meet you out at the Museum SL33KY! Was my first time out at one of the "Friday Night Meets" and caught up with Cejay, SL33KY and a couple of other guys (sorry, cannot for the life of me, remember your names/usernames). I wasn't even going to go out Friday night, but my mate was keen to see a couple of Skylines up close. Turned out to be a bad decision as I was pulled into an RBT station on Melrose Drive and was defected on the exhaust (i thought i would, 95db) but the inspector has sent me for a full inspection instead of just the exhaust level check. So, here comes an engineers cert sooner than I was hoping (waiting for funds to increase as always).
  24. Is this the Datalogit FC from NZ? Anyone know why it is only for use with the R32 and R33 GTR's?
