  1. Already!!!???? My god boy, what are you looking at getting? Did monki finally beat you in the RS?
  2. Hi Alistair, thanks for the call back. Can you please PM me all the required details and I will fax through the payment confirmation.
  3. Message left on answering machine.
  4. Hehe, my offsets are +29 all round :-D The 18*9s with 265s look soooo sweet. Will try to get some photos this weekend... Mum has the camera at the wedding still.
  5. Cheers for the replies guys, again much appreciated. I'm starting to really like Jax QuickFit in Fyshwick. Will give them a bell monday and see what they can do.
  6. Well, digging up an old thread but at least the search button works. I know guard rolling can be bad for cracking paint, but i'm sure cutting tyres with metal at 100km/h is worse... Has anyone else got any decent recommendations on a place to do it? I used QuickFit in Phillip on my subie and they didn't do the best job. Didn't even appear to heat up the guard first....
  7. YAY!!! Thanks again for everyones advice. Its all sorted. Big thanks to Jax QuickFit in Fyshwick for doing an awesome quick job. Mick, i'll let you know how i go with the tyres. I think 255s on the rear might have been a better option for the guards sake, but i'll just have to go get them rolled.
  8. Thanks for all the awesome replies guys! Hate getting myself into a pickle, especially if my brother finds out that I wasn't prepared for his wedding... I needed a place in Fyshwick so my Dad is able to drop the rims and tyres off whilst he's at work, and the only place open at 7:30am was Jax QuickFit. I spoke to the guy and apologised for being so early and flustered, told him that we were unable to fit them ourselves (first time defeated by a tyre ). He said he's been able to fit heaps of 24"+ tyres and rims so I have left it in his hands. He said he'll be able to have them done by lunch time today which will work out well. MICK, FEDERAL SIDEWALLS ARE DAMN STIFF AND STRONG!!!
  9. Thanks for the reply Brett, I can't find The Tyre Factory in the White or Yellow pages for Canberra?
  10. Well, I have a wedding to attend on Friday and the group I am taking would prefer my new rims to be on before lunchtime then. My brand new rims have arrived and have got the Federal 595's for them, but we cannot get them on AT ALL!!! Tried one front and one rear, still can't get them on. Praying that a tyre mob will be able to fit them tomorrow at short notice if i rock up in the morning with them. They are only 18*9 and 18*8 and the tyres are 265/35s and 225/40s... Not huge or a stretch, just can't get the Federals on. I doubt many people will read this so late at night, but if anyone knows someone in Fyshwick or Southside at least that has a decent wheel fitting machine that would be able to help out in such a short time, can you please reply here with their details? I'm going to try Discount Tyres, Jax QuickFit and Bob Jane tomorrow morning to see if any of them can get the wheels/tyres fitted ASAP, otherwise, the wedding photos are going to be let down a bit (more to the point, my car won't be featured at front) :-( Random post I know, sorry, just distressed trying to organise everything in time..... Cheers Sam
  11. I was worried that the dump was going to be the hardest to remove, but it turns out that the mid section to back section was the hardest to do... Trying to get the exhaust in the hangers correctly at the same time as doing up the 4 bolt flange on the JJR pipe was just plain annoying... Needed a second set of hands to hold it all steady! But got there in the end.
  12. No idea on what type of Kakimoto exhaust it was as it came on the car when it was imported. It was only a catback so had the standard dump pipe.
  13. Hi mate, Won't be selling the kakimoto. I'll need it if someone decides that the current exhaust is too loud, will be using it to pass...
  14. Exactly as MANG said.... Ahh crap i missed it again!!!
  15. Well I got her all done Thursday night. Its an extremely well built exhaust, the quality of the welds is very very good. As for the sound... it sounds awesome! I have my RB burble back (it was bad having my N/A R31 sounding louder than my R33)... All the bolts came off with ease. Putting the dump back on could have been better, the 2 middle bolts on the 6 bolt turbo flange didn't want to tighten all the way up (potentially). I had to much fear of snapping them so i didn't push my luck. Having said that, it isn't leaking at all Overall, very happy
  16. That's an awesome camera sl33py!! I've been looking off and on for about a year trying to find a video camera to use at the skidpan and motorkhana's that is also waterproof. Where can we get one of these in Australia? Does anyone else have something similar?
  17. Thanks guys, I'm not actually after a launch interface, and I already have the Bee-R limiter... I just couldn't understand how you could run a microswitch on the clutch in the following situation: Rev1 = 7000rpm Rev2 = 4000rpm Current revs 6500rpm, depress clutch, engine attempts to ign cut back to 4000rpm, just think it would be quite a large jolt just for the potential to flat shift.. I have the Bee-R installed because of all the skidpan and motorkhana days coming up and I hate fuel cut...
  18. Digging up a year old thread (sorry)... I'm curious to know that if you have a switch setup on the clutch pedal for 'Rev2' on the Bee*r limiter and the limit for Rev2 is set to say 4000rpm, what happens when you are about to hit normal limit of 7000rpm and engage the clutch to change gears. Would this not jolt the engine back to 4000rpm and cause issues??
  19. Hhahaha well i smoked out all of Monaro Hwy this morning because of the WD40 soaking on the turbo exhaust housing / dump flange.... OOPS! If you only left yours for an hour, hopefully I should be right then. Here's praying I don't snap any bolts.. As for doing it on the ground or in a workshop... I wish i had the luxury, i've already done 10 subaru liberty gearboxes on the ground, no point in stopping just for an exhaust.. Oh and if i get the catback section off first and its still not too late, bloody oath I'll give it a quick squirt...
  20. Haha, no longer papers here.. Lol, well aren't you just the groupie now GeeTR! - Haven't seen RiceSP online in ages............. Baconer, so far i've soaked the studs twice tonight about 1/4 to 1/2 a can of WD40... I'll do another two tomorrow night and see how we go. Hopefully the exhaust actually turns up tomorrow, I have no idea whether its been even shipped out yet... Bl**dy hope it has!!!
  21. Yes, REACT sfrizza is me, one and same.... What's your username? I could only imagine the dumps on a GTR... However, after taking a closer look at the dump, its near identical to the WRX dump on just on the opposite side and one more bolt. I'll keep applying the WD40 to soak into it thats for sure!
  22. Thanks for the info Baconer, The exhaust currently on is a Kakimoto catback, the exhaust coming is a JustJap Hyperflow. I know its going to be loud (possibly overly loud), but this is easily changed by going to a classy oval muffler instead of a cannon. I need to get my burble, the Kakimoto is very quiet (nearly stock sounding). So far i've removed the heat shield and have the dump soaking in WD40, which i'll also resoak tomorrow night. Does any one know the thread depth, pitch and size of the bolts going into the turbo? I will try to pick some up but if i can't find any, i may run the risk...
  23. Hey ACT gang, I've just ordered one of JustJaps turboback exhausts which should arrive in a couple of days. I just have a question about the removal of the standard dump pipe etc. - What is the general process for getting at the dump pipe? I assume you have to remove all the heatshields around the turbo. - Is there anything I should becareful of in that area when removing the dump? I'll be reusing the o2 sensor, so i'll have that off already. I realise that the JustJap exhaust might be a bit loud, but at the moment, my Kakimoto catback just doesn't cut it for me.
  24. Boots received, trader rating left. Thanks Pablo.
