  1. I don't care when it's on. As long as the naked hobbit and camera crew turn up.
  2. Well i figured a leak wouldn't cause a big drop in boost, but several people have told me (including a tuner) exhaust leaks worsen performance. Not really something to fuss about? I thought of replacing the exhaust but if it's just a rooted turbo then maybe i need to go turbo shopping. Boost is pretty crap unless i boot it. Especially from lower rpm's it's like an NA. If i change at 2500/3000rpm i sometimes can't even hear blow-off
  3. Thanks for all the specs! Not much GTR too right. But hey, i'm not complaining. There's good reason. I'm trying to work out which GTR is the best looking of the 5. I'm still thinking, but i'll get back to you guys about it. The aesthetics are really the only distinguishing feature between these cars.
  4. MMmmmm, Superlap Timeattack. Makes me proud to be Aussie.
  5. My mechanic told me he tried to patch a leak in my down pipe. I think it's still leaking. Will this have a bad effect of the turbo? My turbo isn't going as hard and i'm throwing up whether the exhaust is weakening boost or if the turbo is just dying. Thoughts?
  6. Why don't all you Hills peeps just hurry up and get a room
  7. You think what they said about the Skyline was harsh? Well you haven't really watched Top Gear have you. Clarkson has, on occassion, made my jaw hit my nuts (sitting at the PC) when he sh!ts all over a supercar and actually convinces me it's crap. Like, i actually hate American cars now because of that British bastard. For the record, Clarkson has tons of respect for the GTR. In one of his books he ranked it 3rd best car EVER made (behind the Ferrari 355 and, i think, the Aston DB7 or 9).
  8. Gotta love the NavHoe
  9. wtf? in.
  10. It's still in the box. That sucks. I wanted to sit inside But i'm still going
  11. Last time we cruised there wasn't a truck in sight Red Rooter, KFC, it's all the same really. Just don't eat it
  12. Personally i'd go Nismo or HKS. It's a little more but it's much easier to work with. Bosch are good (i have the 040, no complaints) but in R33's at least, can't reach the bottom of the tank and aren't as reliable on hard cornering, but i just don't dry the tank out so isn't an issue. Also there's no cradle modifying with these drop in pumps. If you REALLY want to save money go Bosch/Tomei, but on a GTR especially you want something reliable and for an extra $200 you're getting an easier job and less to worry about down the track. My 2c
  13. Careful what you say. Colin is watching.
  14. pics or bizan
  15. I think there is a place for this discussion on SAU. Just because it's a car forum doesn't mean it should intentionally avoid politically sensitive issues. That would make us all ignorant. I'm not saying we need to go out and blow up some whaling ships. I'm saying if anyone has 2c to add, say what's on your mind. I think if there wasn't such a large commercial gain for the Japanese whaling industry i'd be content with their 'research purposes' for whaling. But i doubt whether they are the world leader in marine biology research, more than a leading consumer of whale-derived products. Japan has a right to hunt whales. I'd be p!ssed off if i couldn't eat steak or fish because Japan disagreed with our consumer practices in Australia. What i disagree with is killing endangered spieces, or using lies disguised as research to cover the true intentions of the whaling industry in Japan. That's my 2c.
  16. I have the same thing, usually when i leave my driveway (cold brakes). Consensus: it's normal.
  17. What relation does the SuperGT GTR have to the road version apart from the headlights? I know the chassis and body are completely different, wheels, suspension too, interior is pure race-spec, and it has a V8 powering the rear wheels only. What are we cheering for? EDIT: I'm not being negative, just trying to generate discussion. Saves me nagging for torrents
  18. P6 is easy. Directions are: Take Homebush Bay Drive northbound, turn left on Australia Ave (just after M4) and after the first set of lights keep your eyes out for a large parking lot (pretty big) on your right about 2-300 metres up. http://www.sydneyolympicpark.com.au/__data...rk_map_2008.gif I'm pretty sure it's P6f This is easy too . On the M4 westbound you'll pass the Reservoir Rd exit and see the large 'twin' servo's (Caltex) on both sides of the motorway . Exit into the servo and you'll see a Maccers and KFC and all the Skylines will be at the truckstop behind the fast food places. It'll one large complex so you can't miss it. Hope that helps mate. Sorry for doing your head in
  19. Nismo and HKS are better pumps than Tomei. A few ppl have said Tomei's lose voltage at high RPM and the engine leans out. GET the pump and injectors. As soon as i cranked the boost (from stock to 12psi) the pump started to die. Pump change is a DIY job, i'm not a mechanic and i got the old pump out easy. Injectors give the DIY sectin a read. Get injectors that suit what you need from them. No use getting 1,000,000cc's when i.e. 660cc will suffice.
  20. Edward Lee is a poof. His cars look good from Parra Rd though.
  21. Good idea, and plenty of people will buy this in Fat Land. But don't call it a GTR, bloody Nissan d!kheads. Whats the point of the GTR, a sharp, tech-filled, manga designed rocket that gets super-sized and slow so people like Oprah can look fat inside it? Good idea as the Murano's big brother. Bad idea as a GTR. IDEA: How about calling it the Nissan XXL?
  22. Awesome vids! But i can't tell the difference between watching these and watching anime. Jap TV is so funny Where can we watch the race? Torrents? Living in Oz sucks! I was falling asleep watching the V8's and the F1 cars race today. Mainly from the V8's though
