  1. I'm pretty sure 33 and 34 aren't compatible.
  2. Yes this vid is good, R35 is nuts. GT3 sounds better though...R35 doesn't really sound that nice. Nissan VQ's and the VR have this mundane bellow that's really dull. Ouch! Someone's got their rags. WTF? That was random. Seriously guys, the R35 is really messing with your heads. Try meditating
  3. Good point. Nissan can get free market research on these forums. YES we think the R35 should be modified to meet ADR's and also cope with our lower-octane fuel- but de-tuning, as was done with the 200SX, is really dampening the impact of the flagship Nissan. It's illogical.
  4. Always Jizames. Without your crusies my friend owning a Skyline would be HEAPS less fun. Also i probably wouldn't maintain it as much Looking forward to the drive, especially the awesome windy road down into the valley. My HICAS loves that one lol.
  5. Lol you guys are funny. Less fishing-->more driving!
  6. Yeah spectacular views on this drive. +1 R33
  7. trust my it's gonna feel weird getting back in it. I didn't drive mine for 2 weeks and it was like the first test drive again yesterday Tonight you're a virgin. Tomorrow you're a man.
  8. No worries mate, but cheers for the info. If i ever get the same problem you'll be first to hear about it! Lol. Yeah guess that's the DIY risk- but i don't mind The mate who installed it came along and Yavuz gave him a little booing for soldering the terminals. Hehe i thought he was about to clip him over the ear
  9. Excellent choice I'd say go for a very good condition series 2-3 rather than an R34 in average/poor condition. You'll be able to find something good for $30-$35,000 and add a few k extra if need be (i always allow a little more cash). I'd recommend a GTR with some minor mods. A clean, well-kept example with intake+exhaust+coilovers is a great buy with the little bits already sorted. My car came like that, and the engine was stock, so i knew it hadn't been pushed too hard. All the best mate.
  10. Well after frying 5 fuses to get to Unigroup (distance- 3 min drive) i finally had it looked at. Turns out the positive wire on the pump had been squashed between the pump bracket and tank. The reason it drove fine at first was because the wire wasn't grounding on the tank- until bumping around cut into the wire and lead to the shorting out. All it needed was a zip tie to hold the wires in place and careful reinstallation. 30 mins labour and the car drives fine and revs out nicely Hi Chris, i got there yesterday arvo, about 6pm. If i went today you'd be able to see how annoyingly minor the issue was! Good to hear you sorted your voltage out- is the dual system going bonkers a common thing? Does the car just run sluggish with this problem? I'd like to know so i can recognise the signs. Cheers mate
  11. Got the car sorted yesterday, so i'm on for Sunday. I'd like to thank Yavuz from UniGroup, and all the fans who supprted me during this difficult time Never been much of a fishing man. I prefer hunting. If they don't come quietly just use force
  12. A new pump won't need new injectors or tune. You only do those if you're upping boost or doing other mods. Just make sure the pump (depending which) gets some decent voltage (above 12v to my understanding) and it'll run all day. Tune will be the next step. Injectors if you change turbos.
  13. Awesome 350 Yeah James is kunnected with IgnitionDVD, he should organise some models to pose with our cars
  14. Go a GTR clutch. If you make 250rwkw you might need something stronger though. Yeh i'd say go an RB25 'box if possible, then you can don't need to worry about reliability.
  15. Awesome! I wish we had more snow in Oz, that looks ULTRA fun R35 is even impressive on snow. What can't it do?
  16. I've had a car salesman say the same to me, "mate, honestly, you're better off selling it privately". What a lovely chap.
  17. What a load of anus. Sell privately. Problem is some ppl are too impatient. Actually a couple of my mates are like that, they'll gladly (and have) lost thousands taking the easy trade-in route.
  18. Umm, if you got a tape measure and measured it you could do BxHxD to calculate volume...but that doesn't account for the irregular shape... I'd just accept defeat.
  19. Hmmm...suss.
  20. Will do lol If anyone has a contact let me know. It'll save calling some random electrician.
  21. Yeah Yavuz has worked on the car before. Spoke to him today and he's doing me a favour to look at it! Worst case scenario i'll have to tow it That sounds pretty convincing to me. I thought it might be $2-300 labour to call someone out, plus other bits and pieces. So is it better to call someone out or try get it to the workshop? I'm more confident in Unigroup because Yavuz knows Skylines very well. Anyone have a contact? Thanks for the advice.
  22. Lol sounds good Manu. My car is 50/50 cause of fuel pump issues, but i'll still come along with a mate if i can't get the car ready by the weekend. Yeh my front bar is low but it doesn't scrape that much
  23. I've had issues with a new bosch 040 in my R33. It ran fine for a day but the pump fuse blew. I changed the fuse and the car started but when i tap the throttle there is a whirring noise coming from the boot (similar to priming) lasting a couple of seconds, and if i tap it a few times i hear the pump 'click' and the car shudders so i have to switch it off. Does this sound like an issue with the pump/voltage regulator? I was going to take it to Unigroup tomorrow and get it tested and reinstalled (it's already booked) but i doubt the car will make it out of my driveway. Anyone know a mobile auto-electrician who knows Skylines? I'm near Parramatta. Cheers
