There are many inconsistencies with this issue. From my knowledge it must be enclosed to be legal. But it's still defectable if an officer decides it's defectable. I doubt it's a problem in most cases when it's enclosed and you're just honest with cops, but if you're defected you have to change it to a stock airbox unless you have an engineer's certif. (which still isn't a guarantee). I think in real-world circumstances you can manage fine with a pod, but it's always a grey-area.

We all value the discussion of the R35 gearbox shift speed versus VW and Ferrari's boxes. But it's leaning to overkill now. 0.2s. End of story.

I would do a full exhaust first. N1's are a great idea. Don't be stingy on dump pipes. Get a reliable boost controller. Yeh as everyone else said about ECU, power FC is a pretty good all-round choice. If you don't plan on much modding, what you DO do do right. Sorry for all the do-do's.

I don't know the names of those hoses, but i wouldn't go blocking those off. They're probably connected to sensors which run to the ECU. They're there for a reason is my view.

People will definitely be buying up the R34 in Oz. Even in 2015 people will be after an '02 Nur GTR just because it's awesome. How many old blokes still drive around their crumbling Monaros today? Why not buy the new one? Not everyone wants the latest model.

I think the cat is important too. Something cheap and restrictive (like my current cat ) keeps it quiet. My mate has an X-Force turbo back exhaust and in the passenger seat (above the cat) it sounds like an aeroplane. My guess is the cat really affects the tone because it's the first restriction from the turbo. Look into a quality (metal) cat is my 2c

I'm noticing more 33 and 34 gtr's on Sydney roads every day. Particularly 34's. This is definitely washing off the 'sparkle' of seeing a gtr on the road. Seeing a 34 gtr used to be like seeing a new Ferrari, not so much now. Good? Bad? Both.
