  1. Fartyboy73 i think you've been made fun of more than helped I say stock BOV FTW, and plumb back FTW. Otherwise you need to consider how you'll hide an ATMO. I reckon it's pointless, as is the retarded PPSSSSHHHHTTt LOOOOkattT meemeeeeee!!11!!!1!
  2. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...p;hl=shave+head Search engine is screwed, i'll find more threads later.
  3. Only GTR's have an M-Spec model. Gtst's are 'Type M'. This has been covered so try a search. It's not as exciting as you think.
  4. ^ How much is a squillion? Have you checked the throttle cable isn't tensioned? Search AAC valve.
  5. 8.2:1 sounds pretty convincing for a 25/30. Have you asked anyone in the Hybrid build section? I disagree with the above comment, i reckon it's worth it. The head's off anyway, and if you can bump comp from 8.2 to 9:1 that's more response for the taking Will be interested to hear more opinions on this.
  6. Personally i'd try getting a CF bonnet (that was legal/engineered to be legal) because it's only a little extra money after all the chopping and spraying. It looks great and it's light. That's the first thing my brain thought. Ouch! That's hot! Yeah it's already been answered. Basically cutting up the bonnet diminishes the structural rigidity of the bonnet. In a head-on collision the bonnet would crumble much easier.
  7. Yup these guys are spot on. Forging uses thousands of pounds of pressure to cast the wheels.
  8. Awesome 32 Richard As always thanks for another absorbing thread. Great to see you're taking the time to do the build right. Love the simple and clean finish you've gone for. I'm a big fan of that style. BTW changing to 34 rims was a smart move, it looks sharp I hope you get many km's of joy after all the effort & Yen Cheers
  9. ^That might end up being a bad question Awesome pics- thanks! Makes me proud of Aussie race engineering everytime i see that GTR.
  10. That's sounds retarded to me. Apologies if you felt deep enthusiasm IMO the sound is perfect. It's raspy and mechanical. The engine is engineered to a very high standard. TTing it would mess up the linear power delivery. BUT it would be a good idea if you were only interested in affixing a big bulging pair of testes to the M.
  11. The S15 is a great car. If Skylines weren't so awesome the Silvia would be even MORE popular than it is. A good upgrade from an R33, but less practical if you plan on having more than one passenger. What everyone's said is true. It's good bang for buck and looks good. If you're not looking for huge power then the SR20 + 'box will be plenty of fun and reliable. There isn't much difference stock for stock. They both have small factory turbos so make full boost very early between 2500-->3000RPM. BTW, the Silvia's T28 can be wound up to 18psi+, Skylines are limited to about 14psi due to ceramic exhaust turbine. IMO the S15 is more responsive than the R33. It has 500cc's less and only 4cyl so it needs less boost to make power, plus it's lighter. Everyone's comments are correct, power delivery is different. The SR20 is punchy and hits hard in midrange. The RB25 is more torquey and gradual, like a surge of power.
  12. Did anyone see 4DPIGZ on a blue MR2 a few years back? It had a Lion airbrushed on the bonnet. That's my cousin. His licence didn't last long
  13. Love the map artwork. Very nice.
  14. Everyday. No traffic lights ha!
  15. I'm on Motul. I'm pretty happy with it. If RP is better please convince me. Anyone made the switch from Motul?
  16. Look around for Stagea motors i'd say. Unless you can grab a cheap 26 (blown) and work from there. I agree, it comes down to your budget. Good idea though.
  17. I did get the sarcasm. You didn't get mine. Well Geoff it looks like we've reached some kind of consensus Cheers
  18. Yeah i've got rough synchros too. I doubt fresh oil will fix it. If you've tried everything you might have to live with it until you can get a 'box rebuild. Fresh synchros, dude it will basically be a brand new box and change very smooth. Have you considered the clutch fork is screwed? The slave cylinder is also known to be a common weak link the in RB25 box, there's plenty of threads discussing it. That *may* make changing gears harder. GL with it mate.
  19. Interesting post. Thanks mate Does this mod affect A/F ratios in a bad way at all?
  20. Forget making power. That sexy front bar needs a FMIC.
  21. Only the N1 GTR's have steel wheel turbos right? V-Spec should come with ceramic exhaust turbines.
