  1. I have a problem with my car again its a R33 S2 and it is missfiring, I know this topic has been covered tons of times but I have fixed the missfire previously by buying new coilpacks. I bought JJR coilpacks and the missfire was gone for maybe 6 months, the car reved very smoothly all the way to redline... and now I'm getting a missfire at about 5000-5500rpm and up until then the car feels flat like it has no balls and then at about 6000rpm it feels like it takes off until redline. Could this be that the coilpacks have fudged them selves? Also I have replaced the spark plugs with iridium ones about 6 months ago just before i changed the coilpacks. Any ideas? Could it be a injector?

  3. I read a few threads on this spigot bearing and damn its not the easiest thing to get out...but i'll try packing grease inside to force it out. And definetly getting the flywheel machined, thanks for the replies.
  4. Hi guys, I'm up for a new clutch, I've read a few threads on clutches and im probably leaning towards a Exedy Organic HD clutch. The car is a R33 with around 190rwkw. Ive tried ringing Jim Berry like 5 times on different days but havent been able to get a hold of him (he said he would call me back and hasnt) to see what kinda clutch he can offer me, I'm done chasing him so I'll probably just go for the Exedy HD or should i go for the Exedy cushion button? The car is a daily driver so it needs to be driveable through heavy traffic. I will probably do the clutch change my self but just wanted to ask what bearings are usually changed when changing the clutch? Cause at the moment I've got like a cricket sound in the gearbox when the clutch is not pressed in, as soon as i press it in a little bit it goes away. Also when i press the clutch pedal sometimes it sqeaks... so what should i be looking at when i change the clutch? Any help appreciated.

  7. Spotted a black r33 getting pulled over just after Alfords Point bridge by highway patrol at about 9:30pm.... lol hope you werent speeding, the cops love sitting there and waiting for people to gun it accross the bridge.
  8. As the title says my indicators are not working after I installed a headunit, i know i probably blew something. You cant hear the indicator clicking when u turn them on, the indicator lights on the dash also do not work when u indicate. I tried looking through all the fuses near the drivers side door but none of them are blown. The car is a S2 R33. Anyone have any ideas? Could the indicator relay be stuffed? If so where is the relay and which one as i dont read japoneeese?

I put on the fmic and it was fine, i put on a turbo back exhaust and it was alright, it wasnt misfirring but the car wasnt smooth, it would pull to about 6 grand and then pull much harder from 6 to redline. I then put on a avc-r and still the car wasnt misfirring. After a week or so ir just started happening randomly, and now it even does it on standard boost (when avc-r is turned off).
  10. Do you think its worth checking the injectors (pulling the injectors out and getting them cleaned, or even running injector cleaner through) before i spend an arm and a leg on the splitfires?

  14. lol same thing happened to me, looks like this is common problem! Also everytime i start the car and look into the drivers side mirror i see fumes from the petrol cap... Looks like i'll be getting some of this Knead-it stuff this weekend... Good one thanks mate.

  16. As the title says i have fumes coming from my closed petrol cap. I found that the nozzle that the cap screws into in the tank is loose and i pulled it out by pulling on it lightly. What can i use (that is safe to use in a petrol tank) to seal it back in place? Can i use urethane?
  17. Last night the car was running really good, i havent changed anything yet. It missfired like once at 5000rpm and then nice boost all the way to redline. Dam it felt fast lol. I also noticed if the car is a little cold it doesnt missfire aswell!?
  18. I took it back and called the RTA to confirm that both low beams and high beams do not need to be on, the guy in the RTA didnt know much but said that its fine... So i got my money back and my pink slip
  19. I bought NGK Irridium sparks plugs and they were gapped to 1.1 just recently and the missfire is still there, i read somewhere that gapping irridium plugs is not good.
  20. I dont usually go to this guy but it was a last minute pink slip as rego was expiring the next day, but hes very picky about everything, he also wanted to fail me on wiper blades rubbers being split but they werent actually.
  21. I'm pretty sure i compared this with my friend's 200sx s14, and when he highbeamed both the highbeams and lowbeams were on, and that is a australian delivered car, i could be wrong though... Also good point if all skylines are like this how could they be complied... anyways does anyone have a wiring diagram for skylines??
  22. I'll go back to him and ask for my money, but he seems to think that all cars need to have all 4 lights on when highbeaming, as in both lowbeam and highbeam on at the same time. On the pinkslip he failed me on rule 106.02 - "Headlight (high/low beam) now working or damaged"
