  1. Hi Gents, I have just installed my Gizzmo Launch Controller and shiftlight. The shiftlight is working fine, but the controller itself is not activating. Does anyone have any ideas as to why? The engine also has trouble starting, but once it does it idles fine. I would like to get in contact with anyone who has one of these controllers to determine the problem. I have contacted Gizzmo but they can't help as the unit is 2nd hand. Cheers, Daniel
  2. where is the "light circuit in" cable? I took the red/blue one off the light stalk harness but it only cut power to one of the headlights and the dash lights were still on. i need to cut power to the full circuit, if anything is left on the battery will die. Do you have a diagram of the circuit? I cut the wire and i don't want to cut anymore unless i am sure. cheers, Daniel

Hey folks, I am installing a couple of things that require me to cut into the ecu harness, and I don't really want to do this :S I have seen pics of people using ecu extension harnesses which they use to do the rewiring, does anyone know where I can get hold of one of these? I am also up for getting the plugs and wiring it myself, anyone know the code for the plugs and where I can get them? Many thanks. *1996 R33 GTSt

  6. Hey All, I have purchased a 4 pin relay to install on my headlight circuit so that the lights can only be turned on when the ignition is on. I ave had a look at the indicator stalk where the light circuits are, but there is no indication of which wires are for the headlights. I also need to determine the ignition circuit (possibly off the ignition barrel?) for the relay switch. Does anyone have a diagram of the steering column harnesses (or can point me in the right direction) or know which wires I need to tap into for the headlights. Is there one circuit for each headlight? Or are they individual? Thanks in advance.
  7. thought I might try to use it as a valet mode sort of thing, using the high boost switch as a trigger ie. when valet system activated, say a friend can drive car around fine, but if pushed past 4500rpm safe mode is triggered, requiring restart of engine. Obviously would inform person driving not to go past 4500rpm.
  8. Hey all, Firstly, I have an R33 GTS25t, and am really enjoying going through the forums finding neat diy mods that you guys have written up. For my next little project I am wanting to trigger the 'safe mode' of the ECU. I understand the engine has this to allow one to "limp" to a garage if it senses a problem. I have a few questions: 1) What is the 'safe mode' and how does it limit the engine (and to what extent) 2) Is the 'safe mode' safe to run if triggered in normal driving conditions? 3) Can the 'safe mode' be triggered using a +12V supply? Please note that i have tried a search, but the search function is piss poor, either that or I'm just shit at using it. Also a bit off topic - what is the supply voltage for a gauge light - 12V?   9. I think you're mistaking me for someone who is competent. "drop the light switch circuit out" means nothing to me... could you explain in terms of "connect this colour wire to this colour wire"? cheers, Daniel
  10. Hi there, I am having a problem with leaving my headlights on and getting a flat battery (yeah lame I know). Does anyone know how I can manipulate my lights to work only when the ignition 12v is on? It would be pretty sweet to get out of car with lights on at night and then let them switch off with turbo timer anyway. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.
