Hi guyyys and Grrrrls,
I had stupidly decided to purchase some new rims for my car which are Work Meister S1's:
20 * 9.5 + 25
20 * 8.5 + 25
Now the rear fit snug as a bug in a rug, just teasing their lip out of my lightly pumped guards.
Issues arise with the front however. The rolling diarmeter of the rim seems too large for an R33 to cope with.
The tire in the pics is a 245/40/20... so I am intending to run a 225/30/20 with some stretch to pull the rolling diameter back abit. That said, the 245's on the rim are worn to the belts and therefore I am skepcital of how a 225 will go with full tread, considering this worn out 245 still rubs.
Now, I was considering a 10mm spacer to pull the inside of the tire away from the control arm, AND a 225/30/20 with abit of stretch in the side wall to increase the gap. However, I'm not sure it will be enough.
Has anyone else run into these issues with stupid 20s? Suggestions? Does anyone know if aftermarket control arms are available (I had a quick look, but didnt see anything)
Pics of my problem....
