  1. Im did this to an exedy cushioned button: It held the power fine just rolling on etc, but I took it to the drags once, and with some heavy launches, I munched it. (340rwhp) For that reason, I have gone an Exedy 5 puck Button this time. Fingers crossed it takes to launching and clutch kicks abit better
  2. Well I got mine back yesterday. Its got some bite! However, I dont think its too bad. I find blip to 2500-3000rpm and quick drop seems to get it off the line ok.
  3. Are you sure its not just the stocko turbo. Every R33 runs out of top end with the stock turbo lol
  4. Well yeh if that is your plans then I think you made the right choice. My cushioned button didnt like abuse (althought it may have been on its last legs when I started the abuse, not sure) Did you upgrade your pivot?
  5. Problem on the 32 GTR was the TPS. It was still sending a signal, but not enough from memory. We cranked it forward abit as a temporary fix. And a new one fixed it completely.
  6. Hey Ric, Yeh thats the model! My old rooted clutch you see above was a cushioned button. It served its purpose well, I think 5 years of driving it took before it wore down like that. The killer for it was limiter launching at the drags on semi slicks. As for the new button, you will get used to it! My mate has a twin plate nismo clutch and he can use it like a normal clutch, you wouldnt even know. Give it a few weeks, you will adapt to the severity of it. Definitely dont slip or ride it. Basically learn the revs that it seems to engage with best, and you should be fine. You just cant get lazy with them... because they will snap your neck off if you stuff it up lol! How much power does your car have? If it is a near standard 33 gtst, the cushioned button would have probably been a better option
  7. I know I swear benaraby has some issues with its timing equipment. A touch up tune gaining 7mph his huge really lol! I too think benaraby has some issues. A stocko S2000 pulled an 11.2 when I was there lol
  8. Hahaha good point. Sadly my car on the 1/4 ran a best of 107mph and a best time of 13.00 @ only 105mph. Hopefully it was the QLD summer heat dragging it down abit, and winter might see the MPH edge closer to 110 (which is where I thought it should be) So to the OP, dont think your car is terrible! You're not far behind mine! (with less mods )
  9. I really wanna run in some nice cool air stupid QLD!
  10. Haha its amazing how many people noticed that ^^^^ i didnt think many would MMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR
  11. You will love it! Excellent turbo for street use. It doesnt really run out of legs either.
  12. Hmm working on that my car runs out of revs at 6250rpm and makes 340rwhp there. Either the dyno speedo is out, or I have some different diff gears. Power fc def says it hits 7200rpm on limiter
  13. Slightly offtopic - I dont get this. Something is different with my cars box or diff. My car on the dyno in 4th @ 175km/ph is on limiter. And limiter is 7000rpm. Power FC says its reving to 7k, as does the tacho, but the speed doesnt indicate it is (with stocko gearing anyway). Harey ran into this problem when plotting my car in his turbo comparison thread... I cant work it out.
  14. I would be going the 7's in the coppers.
  15. f**k I love CR KAI
  16. I also have seen a standard NA SR20 withstand 17psi of S14T28 rammed into it with no dramas at all.
  17. My GT-RS is managing 253rwkw at only 14psi (i know different dynos vary, but thats on the godzilla motorsports one). So im hoping its capable of 270rwkw-280rwkw with 20psi through it. This turbo looks alright.
  18. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, What the f**k? Drift day gone wrong
  19. Igloos at Rockhampton, Qld. Some weird old bunkers used in WWII Ummm plenty of go fast bits, HKS GT-RS, HKS Cams, Plazmaman plenum etc - 340rwhp @ 14psi. Cant wait for 18 pound
  20. My 33...
  21. Yeht thats what I expected. The way its meant to be used I guess there isnt much meat needed. I was suprised tho, I expected a little more beef on the pucks. I was just wondering if any of the Xtreme clutches for example have more meat on the pucks. I also bought a Nismo Pivot too... so that mine doesnt snap like yours, fingers crossed!
