  2. I know I know... a hand controller is on the cards! As for AFM - Z32 Injectors - Nismo 550's Thats the problem, I dont really know the "figure" its knocking too, however I'm assuming if its not showing the knock warnings under load during the revs, I'm thinking the sensor is picking up another noise when on limiter, as least thats what I'm hoping
  3. Hi Guys, Ok so I did a search and noticed alot of threads on knock as you would expect, but my question is slightly different to the others. My car when on limiter will flash the check engine light. Now before you say "well dont bash limiter like a dick", I'm talking first gear, coming on hard and lighting up the rears straight away, the car races to limiter and still has alot of first gear left to wind out. The car NEVER knocks when just under load (I say this because the check engine light doesnt flash, however I do not have a hand controller with my PFC to get a figure) I am assuming the sensor is picking up multiple other noises that occur when on limiter, as everyone knows the noises when bashing limiter are plenty. Car is a S2 R33 GTS-t making 350rwhp on a HKS GT-RS. 15-16psi A/F's on the dyno were 10.5ish and the car is tuned my Marc Jacobsen of Godzilla Motorsport. I guess my question is does anyone else has a "safe as houses tune" that shows signs of knock on limiter. I'm planning to take it to the strip over the next two weeks and want to make sure that all will be fine. Obviously launching it its going to bounce limiter abit... So from personal experience, has anyone else with a nice "safe" tune show signs of knock when on limiter?

  5. Wow Jenna. IMO the 2door spoiler looks ALOT better then the standard 4 door item. It looks excellent in the first shot.

  7. So you have had the HKS cams and the Poncams... why the switch? Poncams get better results? Our set ups are nearly identicle! And our power outputs are pretty close too... Mine just made 253rwkw on around 16psi on a newly calibrated dyno.
  8. standard AFM? doesnt the "check engine" light come on when the afm gets maxed out aswell? How quick is it flashing. I cant remember which way it is, but one is knock, and other is AFM from what ive read up.
  9. I was under the same impression. I thought VCT would be long gone. But there is a definite kick in the revs, and the Nengun site says they are for NVCS engines (that could mean it is or is not retained however, depending on how you read it). I have been told the HKS cams do keep the VCT however, and the standard cam gear is still on my intake, with an adjustable cam gear on the exhaust. Power seems to come on quite agressively with them.
  10. I know my HKS 256/264 jobbies keep VCT - not sure if they are 8.8 or 9mm lift tho.
  11. My enkei RPF01's are cast... im not keen to crash them to see how they hold up. But im sure the dearer cast rims hold up pretty well in accidents

  13. My R34 destroyed a manual Crossfire. By the time i was in second he was a car length behind... and 3rd just kept pulling. It had an exhaust and 12psi. That however was the non-supercharged version. What version has this guy got. The charged ones do 12s pretty damn easy

  18. I was planning on going but I have uni exams this weekend. So I had best be sensible. That said, I will be finished all uni by the next one, Friday the 13th of November. And I'll definitely be doing an oil change etc and have it prepped and ready for that one. Can you make that date? I have the feeling you are gonna munch me in top end lol... 115mph is fairly cookin!
  19. Well its only a hi flow. So with 270rwkw peak, and probably well over 200rwkw for the majority of the revs... you would expect figures well over 110mph over the 1/4 i would think.
  20. Seems rather high. Makes my setup look useless Take it to the strip, and see if your MPH backs up the 270rwkw figure
