Offset it great but its also easy to be illegal with it. Sure rims sitting out the guards can look cool, but whats the use of paying for insurance each year if you claim is wiped by having the wrong offset? I understand you love your jap rims by your threads, but to be honest all your rims are cheaper then most sets of 19s posted in this thread so whos cheap?

R34 Turbo elbow is definitely needed.

Finally It Gets Thru Compliance And Is Tucked Away At Home
Granthem replied to rtune's topic in New South Wales
Wow Just wow. Dont spoil it. Im sure nismo did all thats needed for you to have a awesome car that you can just sit back and enjoy. I say leave it modless. And that engine bay! Perfect. -
No chance.

Yeh I dont generally like big and chrome etc. IMO i dont think are blingy. Just they fill the guards how I wanted and create the look I was after I understand what you mean, but 19s are getting pretty cheap for tyres now so they will become the new 18s. Its how its gone for years and years

Because you can still enjoy a turbo sports car on the street. Im still worried about performance. My point is in terms of cornering etc, you will not notice any difference in performance when turning corners on a regular road. My car turns the same on the 19s as it did on the 17s. So it still performs well, its just the differences between 19s and smaller are not readily seen on the street. On the track is where things will begin to change.

Thanks for the comments people! Here is some more detailed shots of the rear lights if anyone wanted to see them Certainly get a camera mate. But you dont need to spend much. I spent under $200 bucks and have used it for all my photos. Its not as good as an SLR of course but for car shots you can make cheaper cameras work. But your correct, its really as much about the setting as the car. Blending both can create the overall good photo and really make the car stand out Im forever looking for new locations. I thought the big orange building would fit good on a dark night!

I've already covered this point. 99% of Skylines on our roads are for just that, driving on our roads. I know its a performance car etc etc etc, but honestly, the absolute majority of their life are spent driving person x from point at to point b. Hitting a track is extremely rare and when you do, well swap the 19s off. Takes all of 20 mins. The difference between the ride of 17s and 19s on my car was not huge/if not noticable at all. And the performance side of things, well in my head i know would be harder to get turning. But from the seat of your pants feel, the difference IMO is not really noticable again. Now im not at all saying huge dolce dinner plates look good on a skyline or anything, im just saying that 19s overall look good and the effect isnt anything major IMO. If they were 19 inch volks you would all be saying "f**k yeh best rims ever..." but because they probably wont be your all against it. At the end of the day most of the skylines driving around on the volk/works/rays etc rims have spent over a 3rd or probably more of the value of their car on the rims alone. Is that really logical... well thats another story. Pick what you want buddy, but coming from someone with the same car who has made the same change, the difference isnt THAT big in performance. Not while your doing your milk run anyway

I know all of that. But you threw a blanket over all big rims. Just a simple case that big isnt always bad like you made out. Agreed some people just go as big as they can for as cheap as they can. And im not saying thats good. But at the end of the day most of these skylines spend 99% of their time on the road, so if they are happy with the look of the rim and it rolls, thats what matters. Affecting handling around town, well you wont really notice when taking corners at 15. Track skylines i understand. But honestly I would rather roll on something that looks appealing on the street, then something that helps performance I know thats not everyone though

Winnar! Theres always the too big argument. To be honest I think 19s is the perfect size. Others think they are too big and heavy and effect performance etc. R35 GTR manages sub 7.30s at the ring on 20s so big rims cant be too bad!

Price drop to 380 still taking offers... -
I run 19s. 19x8 with +35 offset. cant full lock very well I rub on my plastic guard inserts and when it was slammed the front guard sliced my tire. However I wouldnt go any smaller. I love the look of 19s. They dont look 'too big' but they def dont look small. As for ride, I didnt notice much difference in going from 18s to 19s in my commie. And with the skyline, if ride was a problem it wouldnt be on coilovers. I say do it I like your rims too cankas!

Surely haltech would have removed the limiter with their ECU upgrades? If not shame on them Anywho, how the f**k do we take that show seriously when the 'stig' is snapping gears in the GTR with a stick. Absolute joke, I refuse to watch and still havnt, I dont want to give it ratings and cause australia any more embaressment

Hey. Mate from what I have seen the East Bear, Just Jap, GK tech etc are all the same in design. No doubt in my mind they are all from the same factory. Yeh its an illusion, the car is parked on the road and the concrete is higher. So its just the concrete covering where my front tire usually shows, so it looks like its on the rim. Thanks mate, I have had a few comments about the silver since I posted these up around the forums

Fark mate. I knew you were planning something! Very very nice. Im sure there are alot of jelous people right now. So the 3.7 is alot better/quicker?

Lol that makes no sense. This sort of mod just acts as the stronger R32 actuator does. It holds the wastegate shut at higher boost levels with the extra tension. Its pretty much a free boost mod, I mean whats a spring cost, 2 bucks? Why it would blow a motor up any quicker then the R32 actuator I do not know...

To be honest. The plate on my GTT i think is printed, only because the lookd of it. The writing is also white which i think is a dead give away. However, it did take me a while to decide. In the end the fact the writing is white not silver says to me its printed -
R34 Gtt Neo Turbo
Granthem replied to Granthem's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Ive read on the forums here that to create 16psi on a 2 litre because the engine isnt ingesting as much air. Therefore to create 13ish psi on a 2.5 litre its working it harder then the same boost on a 2litre, for example. Hence why they apparently can take more boost Thanks for the info on the bolt up guys, now people will know what they will need if they wish to purchase this turbo. Its still on my car, im just in the middle of an upgrade, so it will be wasting space sitting in my bedroom -
I have a neo turbo for sale. Check my topics if you wish

No GTR's box has been unbreakable? Why all of a sudden are people crying? Nothing is bullet proof, and remember this gearbox is holding up to alot more torque and power then any of the previous GTR's.
