13.4 second 1/4 for your 'stockish' R33. (A how to guide).
Granthem replied to rev210's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I always keep an eye on times and other things and one thing i noticed in particular was the difference in times lots put up. More so when the 60fts and mods are the same. Example below My mates R33 GTST with full zorst, cooler, 14-15psi, splitfires and a 2.060ft ran in a 13.75@104mph. Yet yours got 13.8 with zorst only (not boost controller etc?) what 60ft was your run. Surely it will not be much greater then 2.0 so i wonder where the time is being made by you, or perhaps lost by my mate? What was your MPH on these 13.8 runs? Once again, I've sat and watched an auto chaser with a cooler and cat back zorst (i think, could have been turbo back), auto as well pull consistent low 15s/high14s at around 97-98mph. So i wonder yours got to 103mph so stocko. Either way. My R34 GTT (at the same track as all the above times ive mentioned) scrapped in a 14.0 @98mph. This was with a 2.0 60ft. So its about as good as its going to get. boost increase and cat back exhaust. Thats running 19s up front and an unsheilded pod. I just cant work out the difference between times. Ie chaser pulling so much MPH where every other one i have seen its dead on my MPH (about what to expect with similar torque and power figures) hmmmmm.... -
Were you the guy in the white one? I asked you about your times and it was doing high 14s?

Im with Beer Baron. Until someone can show receipts for parts and work (or only parts if work done themselves) then no rebuild. LOL @ buying an engine and just believing whats done. Those people are as stupid as the seller is dishonest. Oh and guys, my RB25 is fairly worked. CP Pistons, forged rods, ported head... just cant find the receipts
-
Lol well i cant imagine they would vary greatly

its does look cool. thanks for the cropping, i should have done that too! ill upload the original if need be tomorrow. it will be free of my dodgey paint removal of my plate!

Air Con Climate Control Temperature
Granthem replied to Marko R1's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Thats the one. There is a black hose and also an electrical plug. Check both of these out and see if you forgot to clip one back up! -
here is my contribution I have tried to make my car look "sinister" i guess, chosing dark rims, the eyelids etc So i wanted a photo that was dark, but showed the car still. So i used the headlights for abit of glow in the dark pic and snapped this one. I really like it, it was exactly what i was trying to get. I only used a point and shoot digi camera though so its probably abit lame compared to alot on here.

The only good thing about veilside body kits is after two weeks 99% of them only have half of their front bar left. Meaning we are only subjected to 50% of the potential ugliness. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the gutters, driveways and speed bumps killing veilside bars all day, everyday. sadly, as time progressed they got worse and in real life...

Air Con Climate Control Temperature
Granthem replied to Marko R1's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I hopefully have an answer for you. My R34 has a small grill on the dash below and to the left of the steering wheel. Behind it is some sort of temperature sensor. When i changed my LED lights i forgot to plug this back in, and presto my climate control would be freezing cold to hot in .5 of a degree on the digital cluster. Plugged this sensor back in and all returned to normal. So no doubt your 32 has a similar unit, and it may have stuffed up/broken/not be plugged in and be causing it to act like my climate control did? -
*price Drop!* R34gtt (yellow, Nismo Kit, 53000kms)
Granthem replied to livewire's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
did it have LED rear lights fitted? did you sell them? -
doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out that race. Nissans done pretty well there imo. nearly as quick, 1000 times better in every other department and has a warranty civic hauls ass but its not surprising. its like supercharged greyhound v a standard sausage dog.
-
the hood. interesting. definitely doesnt belong on a liner!
-
Haha I wasnt claiming it as a big power figure. But its just putting things into perspective. 120rwkw might get an R34 doing high 14s? probably more likely low 15s
-
i think he means 2 at idle when warm. everyones oil pressures vary so much! 4 on warm idle guys. holy crap, thats alot of pressure for idle. Nissan books states the turbos (im pretty sure) should be around 1 or 1.5 (cant remember) on the stock gauge at warm idle?

S15, How Do I Get My S15 To Launch Hard
Granthem replied to den001's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
My car managed 2.0 with coil overs lol! the secret? 5psi in the tires... Nice smokey burnout. 4000rpm drop (my mate drove it this run) -
Guard Hitting Issues...add Camber?
Granthem replied to R31 Gagz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I would make sure you get the lip tucked back up. One of those said hello to my brand new Rainsport 19s and i ended up with an extra water disbursing channel! -
120rwkw out of an R34 NA, mate i would probably save your pennies. Im making 160rwkw in my turbo model, and thats not enough to keep me smiling
-
72K in the title bud. wow those rims suit the colour so well. hot
-
sure the plate isnt 2OWNU if so yeh he is. its a yellow gtst like your saying

Help! Plastic Steering Wheel Column Cover
Granthem replied to Wacky Dee's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
yeh. if there is a hole, there is a screw, so take them out. then pull the steering wheel clip that lets you adjust the tilt down. finally, unclip the two parts and pull the bottom off. they still clip after all the screws, so it might take some elbow grease -
Nissan S15 (200sx)
Granthem replied to nickandsarah_83's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
s15 can make 200rwkw with ease. Probably easier then an r33 can and at the end of the day its got less weight to shift with it. i would take s15 hands down -
hey im a commie owner. would buy another one anyday. that thing ran with too much oil, no oil, rusty coolant, no coolant... lol it never skipped a beat and pulled 14.3 as many times as you asked it too agreed though at the end of the track it was hard to stop and didnt like turning really.
