wow, how light was the integra, a DC2R model? thats good trap speed. My r34 is trapping around 97 with 160rwkw, but its a porker!

Haha ahhh come on thats no excuse! Yeh the time would suffer but in fact your MPH will vary only ever so slightly one a run with great traction to a run with a terrible launch. In fact, 9 times out of 10 you worst launch will net your highest MPH at the traps. Go out there and have a go, 215rwkw should be netting around 105mph im guessing?

I would go Apexi N1 its really quiet when you want it to be, but produces a very clean note when you giving it some pin. That said, its not what i would call a loud exhaust at any rpm

track it and find your MPH... Then i think you will realise the dyno is reading pretty high

thats exactly my thoughts aswell, its only there in first. But its definitely there. when next to another car its nearly like a screamer lol then second its gone (i think - no where near to the same level anyway) thanks for the thoughts guys ill check over for some leaks

Pulled inlet pipe off turbo read below down the page. Hi guys, basically the noise its kind of like a quiet external gate with a screamer, but heres the punch... its only noticible (well really auditable) in first gear. Car is boosting normal, all other vital signs are normal. I can load it up in 3rd gear full boost and no noise. So im not thinking its the turbo. Im hoping its a gasket, but again i would think it would be consistant. Either way its loudest in first. Any ideas? It might be a gasket as its not doing very high revs when testing it in 3rd then again, its not really noticible in second (although i think i can hear it) any chances of it being in the gearbox, and only effecting first gear? I did a search but it seems to be different, as its only really first gear. Which to me points to the box. Best way to describe is a shriek, or close to an external gate with a screamer (but not that loud thank god) any feed back would be great car is manual by the way

as for kit, i want some nismo skirts and your nismo S tune rear bar. I will keep my factory front and lip, as there arent too many around, and hopefully the whole car just looks abit deeper but not over the top.

i just got these. they arent jap but the whole jap car jap rims thing doesnt bother me. As long as they arent 'performance' brand or anything like that, any good quality wheel can look good. Mine are Koya Inox Imagines in 19s and hyper black Ps im liking the first white 34 there with black rims!!!! PPS its STILL to be dropped with the coil overs. Moving out is hampering my efforts!

Haha yeh. sadly up here we only get about 5 runs on a night and a drag night is once every two months. Any tips on what clutch tactics and revs you used when launching your near stock r33? how long did you slip the clutch for? wat revs etc im hoping to learn 2.3 is terrible

yeh i need a launch like that. too many variables in the manuals... no two launches are the same

what size and colour are the koya inox 1's ?

I used Maxxis MAV1's i think, where the tread pattern looks alot more agressive. Mine were 245/35/19s on my V8 commie, but no, they werent that grippy at all lol. The 60ft i got best with those was 2.280.
