  2. LOL - this is much more low tech. I meant you can see the corner of your car though the windscreen once the parking antenna is erect.
  3. Fancy word for a (short) electric antenna. It pops up when you want to park in tight spaces, so you can see the corners of your car.
  4. It's a factory option parking antenna. JDM yo!
  5. This is the lip attached to my car - stock R34 GT/GTt front bar. No the best pic - but once it is out on the road gives the car a "tougher" look.
  6. The question is.. why modify an F40. It's a car that is not meant to be touched IMHO.
  7. Mine are turning purple/brown. Would you recommend just painting them black (non see through) or with those black (smoked) lens paints?
  8. Hi all, Sorry to bring up an old thread. Any more info regarding a good and cheap substitute? No way am I gonna pay $100+ for a cabin filter. Highway robbery. Is it possible it shares the same design with other Nissan cars?
  9. + Quality tires + GTt/GTR brakes + light weight bonnet + stage 1 shift kit (auto) + HD clutch (manual)
  10. Just to add to this "some" 25GT did come with LSD as an option.
  11. I just used some no brand "blu-tac"
  12. I'm guessing all this "racing" you guys are talking bout are on a legitimate drag strip and not on public roads.
  13. Yeh - completey agree. Unfortunately the world is full of idiots and there is no way to control people's basic attitudes. It's also too easy for these type of people to get their licences.
  14. Relax mate. I'm not arguing with you at all. If anything I'm somewhat agreeing with you. Please re-read my post before flaming. YOU are the one putting words in my mouth. I never mentioned anything about hooning, drifting etc. I'm talking about kids that buy cars that are literally falling apart and not driving carefully and doing "touch parking" with other cars, because the mentality that "it's ok if my car hits the other car during parking, because my car is sh*t anyways" Basically - if you have a decent car - you will generally drive safer. Again re-read my previous post.
  15. They are essentially the "same" thing they both alter the valve timing. Reason being the camshafts drive the valves, so by altering the cam timing you are altering the valve timing.... But in saying that since this is a Skyline (Nissan) forum VCT is the more appropriate term
  16. Nup - Mine is an ER34. Sedan, non-turbo 2.5. I "think" the R/N mean if it's RWD/AWD E/H mean it Sedan/Coupe Of course I could be totally wrong.
  17. I believe it is a brief chassis description sedan/coupe, RWD/AWD, not sure if it describes engine capacity and if the vehicle has a turbo or not.
  18. I'm of a belief that it is better for a P plater to have a "nice" car (doesn't have to be powerful, fancy or sporty) - a car that is straight, clean and not a sh*tbox. Reason being it will force them into getting into the habit of taking care of their car, other people's cars and driving safely. I've seen too many P platers driving around in sh*tboxes and not taking care eg. car parks and driving dangerously - I'm guessing because their mentality is that the "car is crap so why shoud I care". Where as P platers with much nicer cars tend to drive more carefully (or at least make a genuine attempt). Don't get me wrong - P platers will still get into accidents, but the ones with better cars do try their best to not get into trouble. Of course there will still be exceptions.
  19. I'm in - PM sent.
  20. Hi Charles, I missed out on the group buy. Is this the item? ---> http://www.amazon.com/Frost-King-G16-Rubber-16-Foot/dp/B000B4GU8Q However I cannot find "soft" Cheers
  21. I suppose for your average mum/dad type drivers who sometimes drive "sporty" FWD/RWD/AWD does not matter - they don't push their cars hard enough to the limits. Besides most stock (if not all) RWD cars have understeer dialed in for safety. So for the typical driver they would not know any real difference between FWD and RWD. Obviously if you drive closer to the limits this is where it matters.... and the traffic light GP where a FWD will struggle to get grip For me personally, I'm just a purist - I love RWD
  22. Nup. R35 GT-R is on its own. No "Cheaper Skyline" variants. Closest "skyline" is probably the V36 series Skylines in terms of components.

    Bye Australia!

Take it easy man. Stay safe. Hopefully you get a skyline back in India. I remembering you mentioned about importing it back?
  24. Only thing that springs to mind for AWD, turbo with lots of aftermarket stuff, that you can get brand new at a "reasonable" price is an EVO X or to a lesser extent WRX STI. RWD would have to be the XR6 turbo or entry level Holden VE SS. Lots of aftermarket bits.
  25. Read in the newspaper that Hyundai will be releasing an equivalent soon. But even then its a "Hyundai" - I don't know much about them in terms of hi-po stuff. More as an affordable A-B brand.
