  1. Your coil packs are on their way out. Best buy/order set now. They may start failing within a few weeks - getting mis-fires.
  2. +1 for the A/C trick. With the fan speed of 1 @ 23 degrees - I read somewhere this is the "ideal"/most confortable temperture. But not the best idea if you're driving it a little hard - the A/C saps so much power.
  3. GT-R center (LCD - non-popup) display is exclusive to GT-R only. All other R34s had optional (popup) DVD/TV screens - which looks totally different. -> Aznbongsta's one seems to have the GT-R version - which is quite amzing IMO.
  4. That's very cool! What functions are working/not working on it? That would have been some hard core wiring job.
  5. Taking a look at the pics - Looks like it was awesome. That yellow/green R31 is porn!
  6. Victorian section has details under the events area http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Events-f102.html
  7. Spotted a black R33 coupe in Fairfield (Station st) city bound tonight - plate number "skylyn" or some derivative of that....
  8. *facepalm* IBTL
  9. RB30 with an RB26 head 3L will give you lots more low down torque for a heavy vehicle - just don't expect it to rev as hard.
  10. ^ tripod and long exposure should help......
  11. For dipping sauce...? There's nothing like eating sushi while stuck in Japanese traffic...
  12. Climate control - self adjusting / doing something in the background.
  13. I love the nice "clean"/neat look about it. Hard to describe - Looks fast/tough, but yet it looks sutble enough not to raise too much attention.
  14. Bit off topic... something (probably silly) my mates and I thought off while having some beers What if there was a 2WD sports bike with an ATTESA style system...... Would it be the GT-R of bikes????
  15. ^ worth a look - "maybe" he quickly fixed it up and now selling it....
  16. Discuss. ---> http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/channel-n...o-1225853619430
  17. I've don't ride or have ridden a motor bike. But I'm no hater - I've been lazy too take up lessons and folks worrying about safety etc... Would be an awesome skill I'd like to obtain. Some of my mates ride them as a daily. Big benefits is that: - Save fuel. - Park almost anywhere. - Very convenient. - Get to always creep to the front of traffic - save lots of time. - Quick acceleration Issues: - Safety - even if you are a safe rider, it takes some idiot to ram into you and you are in a world of trouble...... - Weather - exposed to everything. - Seating - If you need to take more than 2 people - can't do much...
  18. All R34GTt should be running 98 fuel as a minimum due to the higher compression and boost, regardless if it's stock or not. (I wouldn't know about older models)
  19. Most noticable when cruising/coasting anything over 60km/h+ most noisy from 80km/h to 100km/h I might need to change my bushes too.
  20. Good time to clean the cabin filter too. In regards to the system being smelly - run the a/c on constantly re-circulate (I'm aware it's un-healthy) for a few days whenever you drive the car - this will help dry any moisture in the car. Another thing to do is spray a good amount of Glen 20 (or any other available air-con disinfectant) in the front foot wells, leave the A/C to run on max speed, get out of the car (the fumes would make you high) and close the doors for about 5 mins.
  21. Congrats. Auto or manual? Suggested entry level mods: - Put some nice tasteful 17" or 18" wheels - should look good - Especially since you already have a body kit. - Window tint - Replace the head unit with a 4x50W system - You will be surprised how much the stock speakers can handle. - Since its a non-turbo - put a high flow panel filter and high flow cat - I wouldn't really bother with doing any other mods to the engine - the Nissan engineers have already done a pretty good job IMHO. Well maintained is the way to go - use the best oils, fluids, filters and maintenance items. - Be prepared to change your timing belt and coilpacks (If they haven't been changed) - If there is no record of them being changed assume they have not been - get it done soon. Enjoy your ride!
  22. LOL I don't own a GT-R. I think the general public (especially the brainless pretty boys withh too much money) think that every R32 to R34 "is" a GT-R. Un-fortunately had too many occassions whereby Porsches, M3s and other exotics want to race me :S Quite glad to know my n/a 2.5L, 4dr, auto - intimidates the big boys.... Thanks to the GT-R's legend. Sheep in wolves clothing
  23. I "think" driver's side airbag has to come standard on all cars after '97 - but this is 3rd hand info I've heard. Dual airbags (or more) are not compulsary even nowadays.
