  1. Sorry I missed it. I was kinda wasted. Next time
  2. I have a function tonight so I'll not be going on the cruise - However I "might" drop by Maccas to say hello as I live fairly close by.
  3. "If" he is the only mechanic in the area. Buy the ignition coils from eBay or any other shop and get him to install it. Make sure you specifically get the coils for RB NEO engines.
  4. Spotted a white R32 GTS-T coupe this morning around 7.45AM on hoddle st heading south bound.
  5. Coil packs is the most common issue for R34 GT/GT-T. Get them changed. While you are at it - change the spark plugs (NGK platinum) too @around $15 each from a Nissan dealership - saves the hassle of getting to the spark plug area again later on.
  6. Nice.. but quite pricey.
  7. Office chair races, anyone???
  8. Welcome to the forums. There is also a build up/project thread. Would be pretty cool to see your build up.
  9. Depends on your budget. 1. If you have the $$$ right now - go straight to a GT-T, then spend on the mods. Less hassles. 2. If your budget is not that much and you want to keep the car - I wouldn't bother spending much more on "power up mods", just on supporting mods to make the car more reliable when you drive it hard. Oil and trans coolers. Premium oils and fluids. Also focus on handling if you can stretch your budget a little. 3. de+t setup - Would only be in your favour if you have spent lots of money on the car already or if you just want something different. Reliability should not be an issue as I imagine your are going for something conservative, but be prepared to spend more in comparison to a straight GT-T. Your current setup is not too bad - personally I'd get the trans done, add the oil and trans coolers - should be good.
  10. I had the same dilemma. I put mine on the top left side of my windscreen.
  11. Black R32 GTR this arvo heading south bound Waterdale road, Heidelberg. Plate number "PAULYS"
  12. Yep. Made in Thailand or UK. I've only had the Japanese stuff at a place called "Teppensan" on Russell St.
  13. Spotted a pretty beaten up black r33 sedan heading north on punt road at around 9.30am.
  14. ^ the silver R34 you saw was belongs to "lswturbo" We left around 8.10PM. Thanks to the guys that turned up. Lucky the temperature came down a little bit. Had a nice drive through Yarra Boulevard. I'll try to organise another one soon - maybe a Friday or weekend.
  15. I'm still gonna be there. If anyone turns up or not.
  16. Sounds like you got ripped off for the HDD unless its a 128GB SSD. I would get the HDD and buy a cheap HDD case from MSY to convert the HDD to an external drive. Get the RAM and give it to a mate that may want it or sell it on eBay - don't expect much money. Or sell the thing piece by piece to get more money back - but be prepared for a slow sale.
  17. link is over a year old... I'm guessing it probably gone.
  18. Could be a brake booster vacum leak. Check it out.
  19. I reused mine a few time - no problems. Nissan dealership has them - 40c each from memory.
  20. By the look of the thread - not too many - but It's still on. Good to get out of the house.
  21. I struggled finding "backups" of the software on the internet - especially for Australia. I bit the bullet and bought some Garmin laptop software 2010 version from eBay and connected it to my USB GPS dongle. It was a fiddly setup because the GPS dongle I used was not a Garmin product. But I got it all working eventually. Personally I think it is money well spent. Reasons: - Maps load much faster. - GPS seems more accurate (could be related to the USB dongle) - Smoother interface. - GPS seems to lock on faster (could be related to the USB dongle) - Zoom in/out function is less fiddly compared to a "conventional" GPS. - Has handwriting recognition for entering addresses (if you use a stylus). - When playing music the software automatically reduces the music volume by around 25%, when giving directions (some people may not like this function) - when not giving direction music plays as normal. - Basically its like a portable GPS on steroids.
  22. The best I had was in Taiwan, Tainan city (45 mins south of Taipei on a Shinkansen) +1 for a sushi meet
  23. Spotted a silver r33 GTR this morning around 7.30 heading south on Albert St, Preston/Thornbury area. Plates "GTRXXX"

Just wondering is your car tuned for E85? When I tried E10 I find I loose some power (flat spot feeling) on the low to mid range.

Ethanol has less energy compared to normal petrol so you will end up using more. However it has good anti-knock qualities which is a positive.
