  2. Tail looks a little different to a Mclaren F1..... kinda looks like an S7 with a Mclaren F1 front end (S7.1 - anyone - haha )..... could even be a kit car... maybe.... *stumped* anyways here is a real Mclaren F1 -> http://mjscars.com/mclaren-f1-supercars.jpg
  3. My "educated guess" is they are the same - even the R33 N/A factory manual shows the caliper design as being the same as the R34 N/A. The more senior guys could probably answer this....
  4. I went to the bendix site and sent them a query email and gave me the part numbers for my NA R34 Sedan (Not GT-V). These are the part number for the NA R34 - not sure if they are the same... Front:DB1308 Rear:DB1144
  5. 1. engine oil - Around 4.1L 2. gearbox oil - i've bought the redline lightweight shockproof gear oil (3.785L) - No idea (I have an auto) 3. diff oil - Around 1.9L
  6. I've already done a partial flush. I put the car on a slight angle (front higher than the rear) this is so I can drain as much fluid as possible. Cleaned area around sump plug. Found the transmission fluid sump plug (rear of the sump). Removed trans dipstick to allow air inside. Drained fluid - removed a little over 2L of fluid. Returned sump plug. Filled up about the same amount of trans fluid. Drove car lightly around for around 10 minutes to operating temp. Stopped car on level surface (kept engine running), checked level and topped up slightly. After the partial flush - shifting was instantly smoother and a tiny bit faster. I'll be performing 2 more flushes over the coming months.
  7. Spotted a silver r32 gts in china town near the corner of swanston st around 10.30pm on sat. night - had sau stickers
  8. nice - waved too haha.
  9. Haha - Your right.... - I just got a little over excited on what it said on the box (false adverstising)... not to mention the fact there is an actual sticker the "car" that says "S-Tune"....
  10. .... thats right I bought an R34 Z-tune R/C shell It is one of the most detailed shells I've seen. Tell me what you guys think.... The mechanicals are a HPI Racing RTR Nitro RS4 3 Evo AWD. (default body was a Dodge Viper) I'm yet to cut some holes for cooling, mounting etc... I may have to remove the "Nismo" FMIC for cooling.
  11. My Mistake... From corner Albert St / Chaleyer St...
  12. Spotted White R33 GTS-T, with gold coloured rims this morning with SAU stickers - From corner Albert St / Dorrington Ave, drove near each other till Heidelberg Road, Fairfield. I was in the White R34 4 door.
  13. Appologies to cut in - R35s don't have HICAS or are you refering to the V35s?
  14. SAU is open to all cars.
  15. All R34s from the pov pack 2L to the GT-R have 5 studs... I got the official Japanese brochure.
  16. Lastnight around midnight saw a dark coloured R32 coupe corner bell st and st georges road - Preston
  17. No blowby "stains" on the back of the car - however i got heaps around the oil cap and PCV area... *brings out de-greaser and rag*
  18. All R34s have 5 stud hubs.
  19. White R34 4 door for the bride
  20. Hi all, A few quick questions in regards to my R34 auto, I'm planning to change fluid soon. - Does the transmission have a drain plug on the pan or do I need to remove the pan for changing the fluid - I just want to confirm? (i've read somewhere on this forum that the R34 does have a plug - but I cannot find the article). - Is Castrol Transmax Z ok for this application? (I've already bought 2x 4L bottles). - Will it mix (compatible) with the old trans fluid? - as i know i will not be able to get 100% of it out then after a month or so I'll flush it again. - Will the shifting change? - Is there anything I'm missing/forgotten? Cheers
  21. I own an n/a r34 sedan (i know its different to a coupe...) and my best mate owns an n/a Supra. In my opinion the supra is a faster car in terms of performance, tiny bit more economical due to the stronger torque, feels more comfortable over the small bumps and generally feels a little bit more planted - my mate says the supra is a softer car in terms of body rigidity - he uses it as a daily too... but in saying that I myself cannot live with it as a daily driver - its not a practical car overall. Reasons - small boot, almost usless back seat, awkward to get in and out of, hard to park (from my perspective - this is debatable). I think the R34 - is a better car "overall", my reasons - got lots of space (but i'm taking from sedan experience), easy to drive and park (due to it being boxy), parts are cheaper and readily available, easier access, street cred (looks tough/mean), great support from SAU forums, body rigity - car feels more solid, lots of after market stuff - therefore upgrades are easy to come by (if that's what your into), i love tiptronic function, very predictable handling, "can" be more economical but I find it hard to achieve this. Dis-advantages - it is slower off the line vs the supra, does not feel as planted (but the differnece is tiny), heavy bonnet (supra has an alloy bonnet), needs to be revved harder to get some decent power, suspension feels quite stiff - especially over the small bumps in comparison to the supra. End of the day - its personal preference - Just remember don't expect the N/A cars to be anything special in terms of engine performance, for my setup i've concentrated on handling and braking to make up for the lower power as i do heaps of mountain runs.
  22. Everything has been recently replaced, about 3 months ago... The car runs perfectly fine. Not a single issue. It's just this time cause i was driving spiritedly - I'm usually very tame when driving.
  23. I'm using NGK platinums heat rating of 6 (genuine Nissan), splitfire coils packs and using BP ultimate - if that helps.
  24. Hi all, I took my car to great ocean road lately and i gave it a good run - lots of 2nd and 3rd gear action around the bends and hills. I noticed when I decelerated from higher revs (in a lower gear) there were sometimes muffled crackling/popping noises from my exhaust - personally find the sound pretty cool. My mates in the car behind say there were no puffs of smoke or flames coming from my car. I just wanna confirm if this is normal. R34 - NA - tiptronic - with hi-flow filter, extractors and hi-flo cat - rest of the engine and exhaust is stock. Cheers
