  1. Saw a few tonight. White r33 coupe parked at Station St - Fairfield around 9.45PM Silver r32 4 door - Yarra Bvld - Seems one of your HIDs are on the blink - Literally. 10.00PM Silver r33 coupe - Yarra Bvld - 10.15PM - You flashed yr headlights - I waved back - Awesome driving BTW
  2. Yep - I was the White R34 sedan heading northbound on high st.
  3. hehehe - Seems that the sight of Skyline is like waving a red flag in front of a bull, brings out the hoon in surrounding drivers.
  4. A few days ago there was a Black R34 Vspec across the road from that same site.
  5. I'll be in the city on Sunday doing other stuff. Did you have a suggested day and time?
  6. My car ain't that quick considering its a stockish N/A, so I generally don’t even try. I guess it’s the mentality that all Skyline drivers are racers or have some crazy setup under the bonnet. Its funny how common it is for people to challenge me for a run especially the hero heads in their "fully sick" VLs, “plastic fantastic” Lancers, “sick” Celicas and “hair dresser” Hondas. I’ve had HSVs / XRs spot me and for some crazy reason decide it would be fun to floor it around me at double the speed limit (hehehe they must feel good “smoking” a Skyline doing the speed limit – I could only imagine the BS they tell their mates at the pub). Anyways… I’m a safe driver and I usually let these people pass (I’d rather let these guys get embarrassed at the pub/club – eg. would anyone believe a Lancer with a cannon exhaust outrun a Skyline???? – I know for a fact that these people “broadcast” their false glory). On the other hand… There are odd occasions where I get road rage where I just snap – I’m not proud of it or condone it. As I say I usually let these guys go – however there are the type that “linger” around you when your heading the same way, these are usually the guys with the lower powered “rice boxes” and can’t drive for sh*t – so I teach ‘em a lesson or two – but I end up feeling really guilty afterward. One observation I’ve made is that “most” hi-po import drivers are quite safe drivers (regardless if they drive a Skyline or not), they don’t try to get into a race with anyone – which is good – considering all the bad publicity. It seems to be the people with slow cars “ricing them up” the ones behind all the racing.
  7. QUOTE(iseekool @ 30 Sep 2008, 09:45 PM) - Saw a R34 GTR corner of high st and mahoneys rd - it was either blue or black from memory You got a really nice clean car there mate If you saw a white r34 4 door that night that would have been me - I flashed my lights too.
  8. Saw a few Skylines out and about tonight in the Reservoir area around 7.45pm to 8pm. - Saw an R32 4 door at the Caltex near Ruthven station - (I was in the car wash - White r34 Sedan) - he gave his car a good rev to show his presence. - Saw a white R32 at Ruthven station - I know u saw me.... - Saw a R34 GTR corner of high st and mahoneys rd - it was either blue or black from memory
  9. Saw a silver r33 GTR this morning around 8am - Station St - Fairfield - It had HKS stickers on it and had red 3 spoke wheels
  10. Oh cr*p i didn't take that into account...
  11. After much thought and discussion with some mates I've decided to get the exact dimensions of the rusted piece and get a custom piece made up. I'll then chisel out the rusted piece and press fit the new custom piece. I wonder if stainless steel would be a good idea or not - I mean would it cause a bad reaction with the coolant etc? I've found an engineering place nearby http://www.yann.com.au/ Any thoughts or pre-cautions?
  12. hehe - i was thrown back at the sight.. pretty nasty. Nissan was quoting $800 for the bottom half of the intake manifold, as it is 1 piece (ordered from Japan - brand new item) they do not supply the tube end. I probably can go to a machine shop and get a new pipe inserted, but its gonna be a pain taking out the intake manifold, i wonder if they can fix the issue with it still in place,,,,
  13. Hi guys, I need some help. My top cooling fitting has rusted out. I've made a post in the general maintenance section. Refer to link. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...le-t237858.html Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I'm tearing my hair out at this stage as I can't find anything on the web. Cheers
  14. ... or a recommend place to fix the issue
  15. Hi all, I changed my radiator hoses and coolant today. I was shocked. Seems the part where I attach the hose has rusted through. Any fix for this? (I've included some pics.) Urgently need some help. RB25DE - Non turbo Cheers
  16. That happened to me last night too.... But eventually went away once everything warmed up and didn't return for the rest of the night or this morning. (But my car was not used for just over a week), i'm "guessing" all the fluids must have just drained and rotors got surface rust....
  17. You can always go genuine too its about $200.00 from the Nissan dealership.
  18. Was this supra dark blue?
  19. Silver r33 - North Richmond - Going down Elizabeth St - Had SAU stickers and personalized plates.
  20. Interesting. Personally I'd stick with premium unleaded - no spend on LPG maintenance. I've done some background reading into the vapour system, it seems the more superior system is liquid injection, either way, if you do go the LPG route you should increase your engine compression so that you will not feel the power loss or get some sort of forced induction. http://www.lpgli.com/features.html
  21. What's vapour injection? Isn't that related to LPG systems...?
  22. If you feel like burning some fuel and time (like i do when there is nothing else to do) find some twisty roads and go for it.
  23. I say leave the spoiler on - Its looks the part. Each to their own i suppose
  24. Hehehe - Sounds like a "Transporter" job. I got an R34 sedan - but its pretty much stock - PM me if your interested.
