  1. I think they are the same as R33s. But i'm not 100%, they "seem" identical.
  2. Yes, the GT-T and GT-V have the same 17" alloys stock so they can accomodate the big brakes up front. GT-Vs also have HICAS. Basically the GT-V is identical to the GT-T except not having a turbo, 3 guages in the center and traction control. Interior is the same too.
  3. You're correct. The "X" is a trim level specific. Main difference with the "X" from the plain GT(T), from memory are the xenon headlights, premium stereo, 16" alloys (for non-gtt) Mechanically its the same as either the GTT or GT. That is why you have models such as the GT-XT and GT-X
  4. The reason fo the rears being bigger is because of the parking brake. If you compare the front and rears there is actually more "disk" surface on the front.
  5. What about the people from the Northern Suburbs????
  6. Hi all, Just wondering where I can obtain lookalike or even genuine R35/V36 style pedals and footrest - I'm thinking about a retro fit into my R34 auto as the stock pedals on my R34 are very similar to my 1983 bluebird It would be also interesting to see if anyone has tried it or if it is even possible because it think such a setup would look awesome. BTW - I think the R35 and V36 use the same pedals from memory... Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Cheers
  7. Hi all, I grazed my rear bumber when backing out of my driveway I'd like to know the best place to get touch up paint for my car. Its pearl white (QT1), i've called around to the dealerships and they do not sell QT1 in any form be it spray cans or touch ups. I've done some google searches but the only place i can seem to obain the paint is from the USA for around $16.00USD with $80.00USD shipping - Big rip off really. Any suggestions?? I've also noticed minor rust around my center tail light on my boot around the rubber seal, has anyone experienced this and if so what is the fix? Can i just put heaps of black sealant and hope i will "seal" the rust so it will no spread? Cheers
  8. Thanks for the tips guys. I've bitten the bullet and going for DBA slotted "4000 series" up front and DBA slotted "street series" for the rear. They are on order, I'll update you guys on what I think of them.
  9. Hi, I'm after a steering rack and exhaust down pipe (L20B engine) for a Nissan Bluebird 910 1983 model, Series 1. Parts must be in good working order/not worn out. Please PM me with details and offer. I can pickup. I live in the Melbourne. Cheers
  10. Thanks for the advice guys. I think i'll forget about the catch can for the time being. Possibly in the near future i'll consider one.
  11. Sounds like an ignition problem. Check your plugs/leads/ignition coils. There is also a possibility you could be using low octane/tainted fuel (mate of mine had a similar problem with his Maxima as you described, he drove it was nearly empty and re-fueled - problem went away).
  12. Places with snow
  13. Are there any recommendations for catch cans? I've had a look on the web and there seems to be different types.
  14. Hi all, Just wondering if it is worth having an oil catch can for my n/a r34 Skyline. I've noticed some amount of oil in the plenum when i went to change my spark plugs. Cheers
  15. Thanks for the tip about the rotors cracking - its got me thinking I try to be gentle on the brakes where i can by using a lower gear. I wonder if anyone else here has experienced cracking fo non-track use?
  16. email sent with more pics and details.
  17. Hi, I got an R34 - 4 door - Pearl white - All stock Only mods are extractors, high flow cat(still a quiet car) and gt-t wheels (I bought the car like this) - if you want i can put the center caps back on but personally i think they look better with out them. The date is still a little far off - We could probabaly discuss in detail about a month or 2 before. Will send you more pics to your email soon, i have to find them.... I'm sure they are in my backups somewhere.... Cheers
  18. hehehehe... Looks like i fit in this category. 2.5 years Helpdesk/Computer Systems Engineer - I help with computer problems..... User problems Pearl White R34 4 door - Auto - Non turbo - GT-T Wheels - Extractors - Everything else standard
  19. I'd check all the suspension bushings and joints, that could be the cause of the squeeking.
  20. Hi all, I have an r34 sedan non-turbo (not using turbo brakes like in the GT-V). My rotors are in need of being replaced soon and I'm tossing up between slotted rotors or just the plain (genuine) ventilated rotors. I want to know if it is worth spending extra for the slotted rotors (DBA 4000 series) or if I'm just wasting my hard earned $$$. I'm intending to do all 4 corners. I mainly do city/freeway driving, on the odd occassion i take my car out to the Black Spur or the Great Ocean road for some fun (guys in Victoria would know these places ) Also wondering if there is a difference on the life of the rotor (slotted vs plain). What are the recommended pads to go with the rotors? I was thinking bendix ulimates or would these be too harsh on rotors...
  21. You can even go down to your local Holden dealership and buy an airfilter for a Commodore VS - It will fit in your Skyline - The Holden air filter is surprisingly good and a great price about $14.00 - the later revisions of the Holden filters are oiled, have more pleats and the material seems slighty thinner
  22. Hi All, I'm quite confused, I thought the r-34 non-turbo (non gt-v) was the same as the r33gts-t (296mm) and 310mm for the r34gt-t??? i got this info from the DBA catalog. Or does the r-34 non-turbo use the 280mm brakes??? Can someone clarify. Cheers
  23. Hi all, I've recently purchased an R34 sedan about 3 weeks ago (QT1 - Pearl White). I've noticed some chips - which is expected and i've started doing some touchups. Most chips have rust spots which is why i'm concerned. Most of the chips are on door edges and boot edges. Just wondering do JDM cars have thinner/cheaper paint in comparison to cars that are "officially" destined to Australia also do they tend to use a different metal mixture (possibly using more iron?). Cheers
  24. Hi, I'm in the market for an r34 non turbo (RB25DE). There are a few questions in regards to the cooling system. 1. Which coolant is required green or red? Any prefered brands? 2. Are there any special mixing ratios for coolant/water? 3. Are there any other additives required? (For a VS commodore there is this extra powder stuff you add) I don't know if it is the same for a skyline... 4. How easy is it to obtain replacement hoses? ie. does Repco, Supercheap or autobran supply them - or even nissan dealerships? 5. Any other tips/advice to look out for? Cheers
