  1. im in for june!! its been too long since ive been on a cruise.
  2. hello all, selling the old viscous LSD out of our r33 gtst. its a 4.3 ratio with 5 bolt output shafts. its in good shape. removed for a 2 way. i can post pics if anyone wants them, but im sure we all know what an r200 looks like. $300ono. prefer pick up from brisbane but i can ship (at ur cost) if required. 0404759838
  3. i know its prob not going to sit well with some of the guys on this forum, but i have seen a conversion done on a 3 series BMW using an IRS commodore diff. it was fairly straight forward apparently, but i would make sure to research it. its not a bad idea as theres alot of ratios available and lots of options for centres LSD's, detroit lockers, spools etc.
  4. if somebody told u LMGT4's wont fit they are high! if you just buy a set that is 9inches all round they'll fit fine. you want an offset somewhere close to +20 all round give or take 5mm
  5. really?? i called novus and they told me they dont even do them. the only place i could find them was obriens and they qutoed $777!
  6. mate, have another read of the rules. all for sale threads must have a price
  7. spotted a yellow ser2 southbound on the M1 yesterday arvo
  8. yeah i get around a bit. almost 70,000km in 9 months
  9. Why 2 piece darrin?? Surely they could be cast in a mould in a single piece?? Although i guess that would make them rather heavy
  10. Finally spotted that yellow ser2 in carindale that my friends think is me!
  11. Its alarming how many ppl say that. But i have to agree
  12. Well that asks alot of questions. How the hell would u know what anyone on has done before?? Did you even think that maybe they tried something like this and advise against it because the level of difficulty to do it PROPERLY is beyond the skills of some sheetmetal workers and all amatuers?? A job like this would take at least 100-200 man hrs just to get it to primer and done properly. Just because youve welded guards on a paddock basher galant doesnt mean you know what your doing. Wheres the pics of your good work?? But if your such a gun with sheetmetal why did you start this thread?? Its evident by your attitude thats its your way or no way, so nothing we say will change your mind. Why arent we reading a build up thread of you having already done it?? Are you looking for approval?? Its pretty clear that everyone thinks it will look stupid. My skills with sheetmetal are poor at best but ive been involved with enough custom work to know what your proposing is a huge undertaking. You bang on about being "constructive" so tell us a clear and cogent argument of how to blend the commodore gaurds onto the car so they dont just look stuck on there?? IMHO it will look stuck on regardless as the corner and side profiles are just too different. My apologies to all for crazy long rant.
  13. I wouldnt be looking at r32 gts4 gearboxes. Have a search on here, alot of ppl saying they are too weak. In a heavy car like a stagea it wont last long.
  14. Id forget about the tv, now that everything is going digital it will be a pain to get it working. Just get a dvd player head unit with NTSC output and use it to watch dvds
  15. Easiest way to spot scammers ive found is they wont give you a ph number. If someone wont talk on the phone they cant be very intetested in the vehicle. Personally i wouldnt sell a car to anyone that didnt come to collect it.
  16. I dont understand how a bank could clear a cheque into your account and then turn around and say the cheque isnt real and take the money back. If the cheque is a fake and they clear it, then they havent done their job right. Therefore its a bank error and they should be the ones to foot the bill.
  17. +1 here, you should always try and run the same tread all round. The reason being that having a space saver spare means at some point you will need to put a rear on the front because you shouldnt put a space saver on the front. This is also why mixed fitments is a dumb idea
  18. Hey daz Buy a set of 6kg springs for the rear and put the 8kg in the front. It will be a way nicer street car and u will struggle to notice any loss in cornering stabilty. They were about $160 for the pair of 6kg spring from memory
  19. Ive done 350z brembos onto r34 hubs and i can say with 100% certainty that the rears WILL NOT bolt on. The mounting holes are completely different. Its much easier to source gtr brembos. As for the fronts they are as mentioned previously the calipers on 350z run M14 bolts and will bolt up to an r34 but you will need to drill your mounting holes to run them on earliers models. Also as mentioned you CANNOT mix n match calipers and rotors without an adaptor as gtr and 350z calipers run different hub spacing. So in short 350z calipers and rotors = WINNING!!
  20. Thats all well and good but it doesnt answer my question. I understand that where F1 cars have them is ideal placement. But in real cars u cant always have ideal placement. Ive seen some old collectable cars with efi conversions that had the injector hidden under the manifold. The injectors would have been mounted at a 90deg angle at the least. Obviously a high performance application will be different, But im trying to understand more of the science behind it.
