i did search, but i couldnt find anything about connecting a dvd head unit to the factory screen. why 3 rca's?? wouldnt u only need the visual cable?? since the head unit is connected directly to the speakers?? ive got a spare kv-dv9406 if anyone wants one. i bought it 4 my mate but now he doesnt want it. PM me

has anyone got any tips or handy info about connecting the jvc units to the factory screen??
-
cheers for that duncan my mate was thinking more of a drag application. u know flick over to 2wd for the burnout then back to 4wd for the run. plus he's mad keen on skids. i think he should just get an r32 and be done with it.

Major Differences Between Series 1 And Series 2?
Raysboostin replied to Ranga007's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
i dare say it will be the first, but definately not the last its good to see im not the only one that sees the benefit of BULK TORQUE! -
so it is as i suspected, he'd have to replace the entire attessa system. out of curiousity if the one way valve was removed wouldnt it that mean u could then remove the fuse and not damage the attessa?? or if u replaced the 33 type pump with a 32 type pump maybe?? this attessa stuff is way beyond my feeble brain
-
sorry to thread steal, but a friend of mine wants to convert an auto stag to rb26 manual and he wants to know about the attesa. if he gets a r32 front cut and uses the r32 gearbox, transfer case and attessa computer will the attessa work the same as the r32 gtr(as in fuse out= rwd powersliding fun)????? or will he need to change the pumps and some other stuff???? any help would be great cheers

Major Differences Between Series 1 And Series 2?
Raysboostin replied to Ranga007's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
hehehe nice! i do like the ser1 front, but its gotta be ser2 rs4s FTW!!! if ur gonna go manual rwd then i dont think its worth getting a 4wd auto. i think u can get rwd turbo stags. it would save alot of work. but i guess if its cheaper and u have the skills then go for it. just dont forget to post up all ur wicked skid videos. -
now your talking!! BULK TORQUE!! like they say anythings possible with deep enough pockets

im after a good quality intercooler (like pwr or arc not cheap ebay crap). prefer 500x300, but i will consider taller or longer sizes. no thicker than 3in. MUST BE UNDAMAGED. anywhere in SE QLD is fine as i will pick up. will pay good money for quality. pm me with what u have cheers Ray

im looking atm. i havent found anything yet, but im goin to go out on a limb and guess they share the same suspension as the 260rs. i could be wrong so far the bilstiens are looking to be the best for a daily. they seem to be the most suited to everyday use. but theres a few of the jap coilovers to choose from, but u just gotta decide what ur after from ur suspension. i'll let u know if i find out anymore

Gearbox Leaking (i Searched.....lots)
Raysboostin replied to Raysboostin's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i pulled the boot off on sunday and checked it out. i couldnt find any cracks in it, but the whole thing was covered in oil. is it supposed to just be held on with 2 zip ties?? cos mine was, much to my surprise. anyway i wiped it off and put it on with fresh zip ties. for some reason i get a feeling it should be held on with more than just a zip tie top and bottom. does everyone else's have the same arrangement?? -
that would be interesting to see actually. would look very different

Stagea Group Buy Whiteline & Bilstein
Raysboostin replied to Sydneykid's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
i really hope the prices have come down since the first page of this thread in 05. $395 for camber kits is pretty steep. it rang repco for a price comparison and they were $270 plus $15 for frieght overnight. and they are exactly the same part numbers as on here. the castor kit was alot cheaper too. but as i said they started this deal 3yrs ago maybe SK has updated his prices -

ive got a series two stagea rs4s (the factory 5 speed manual) and it has a leak coming from up around the shifter. i searched through heaps of threads but couldnt find anyone else that has the same problem. but im hoping someone may have some answers for me. 1.is there alot of areas around the shifter that could leak?? 2.does it have a bunch of seals or is it just a simple gasket?? 3.is there seals or anything that wears out and requires replacement?? 4.is it even possible to get replacement parts, or will i need to start scouring wrecking yards?? any help would be great. cheers Ray

just cars dont do it anymore. anyone that thinks they do better check thier policy. i just got my renewal notice only to find they only cover up to $10k on fire and theft. if u want more cover u have to go full comp. i called them and one of their ppl told me it had been that way as long as he had worked there (2005). which was a surprise to me because ive only ever had fire and theft cover and i always asked for agreed value. so make sure u read ur PDS every time they send u one. cos they dont tell u about changes to cover, they just send u a new PDS and if u dont read it u could be in for a shock.

im lookin at checking my timing (im not sure its right after the new timing belt went on), u got a part number on the short lead u used?? and just to be 100% sure. what should the timing be for factory settings?? or does every1 just set theirs to 15deg

Thats ME!. i knew those gold rims would get me spotted. ive also spotted a bunch of stageas in the upper coomera-oxenford west area. a silver s1 with stock rims a metallic red s1 also stock rims and a white s2 with silver mags oh and a bright red s2 at aust fair. would be great to catch up with some other stag drivers while im on the coast, but i dunno where ppl go now the bwcp is under construction.
